[Notice] [Bug Fixes] February 23 (Thu) – Bug-Related Issue Announcement

Hello, adventurers. This is Sword of God.

As of Thursday, February 23, we are issuing an update and apology regarding the recent bug-related issues.

First, we offer our deepest apologies to all players who waited for and supported the Demon Hunter raid, which we spent a year preparing.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment caused by an unexpected and sudden bug.

A short emergency maintenance was carried out from 6 to 7 a.m. today.

The following are the changes made during this update:

    • The name of the raid party listed as the first clear of The Lost Demon Hunter on the Adventurer’s Monument has been changed from Xeno to Human.

    • The first clear title of the world raid The Lost Demon Hunter, “One Who Overcame Hardship,” has been granted to the Human raid party.

    • The world raid first clear notification, which was previously not displayed due to a bug, will now broadcast every two hours throughout the day on February 23.

    • The achievement “Adventurer Who Recovered the Divine Relics”, which is awarded only to the first raid party to clear The Lost Demon Hunter, has also been changed from Xeno to Human.

    • As compensation for the inconvenience caused by the bug, the two affected raid parties have each been given double the number of drop rewards, including “Orb of Corruption” and “Glowing Tear.”

After extended internal deliberation, all staff members agreed that the Human raid party, which cleared the hidden phase, was the true first clear party.

This Lost Demon Hunter raid was designed such that players would only fully complete the intended storyline by clearing the hidden phase, “ The Reawakened Demon Hunter,” and proceeding with the follow-up quest.

Thus, the majority consensus was that Human raid party, which properly cleared all aspects of the raid structure, should receive the first clear title.

The Xeno raid party, which encountered delays and inconvenience due to bugs, has been given the proper raid clear rewards.

If desired, those players will have their raid entry reset this week so they can attempt The Lost Demon Hunter again with the same character.

Please note that if you re-enter the raid with the same character, you will not receive duplicate gold or item rewards.

Once again, we sincerely apologize to all users for the concern and inconvenience.

We promise to make every effort to ensure something like this never happens again and to continue improving Sword of God through greater care and attention.

Thank you for your continued support and concern.

We will strive to make a better game worthy of your love.

    Thank you.

Dohee reread the announcement about three times, dazed.

It was early morning. The night before, he had picked up Moonhyuk from his shift and brought him home. They logged into the game side by side.

He’d planned to distribute loot to the raid members, but since 4Evil, SoftRiceCake, OrektThat, and Yeojin were offline, they agreed to handle it in the evening.

Just as they had started catching up on their weekly quests, an unexpected emergency maintenance notice popped up.

Dohee figured it was just another bug fix and had gone to bed with Moonhyuk.

But the announcement that came afterward was surprising.

His phone had been buzzing nonstop all morning, and unable to sleep, he eventually woke up.

It was a call from Yeohoo, excitedly urging him to check the announcement.

Still groggy, Dohee opened the official website.

He swiped across the screen with his thumb:

The name of the first clear party listed on the Adventurer’s Monument has been changed from “Xeno” to “Human.”

That one line had caused him so much stress. Suddenly, he started laughing like a lunatic. He rolled around on the bed, silently pounding the mattress with his fists, overwhelmed with joy.

Once public opinion swung in Human’s favor, NGA had made its decision without hesitation.

Games were sensitive to community feedback, especially Sword of God, which branded itself as player-focused and communicative.

That was exactly why Dohee had worked so hard to steer public opinion. He sprang out of bed and opened his door. The living room was still quiet. It was 8:20 a.m. Moonhyuk hadn’t woken up yet.

Dohee took a deep breath and walked straight to Moonhyuk’s room without hesitation.

Just as Dohee had once told Moonhyuk it was okay to wake him if he was hungry in the morning,

Moonhyuk had also told Dohee multiple times that he could enter the dressing room he used whenever he wanted.

“This is your home. You can come in whenever you like.”

But Dohee had never gone in. Not because he respected Moonhyuk’s privacy or boundaries. He just wanted Moonhyuk to come to him first. It was a petty mind game, a one-sided game of push and pull.

It was kind of pathetic when you thought about it. To be honest, Dohee wanted to see everything about Moonhyuk, every second of the day.

If he could, he’d knock down all the walls and turn the apartment into a studio so he could always see him.

It wasn’t until meeting Moonhyuk that Dohee realized he could become so intensely curious about another person.

But now wasn’t the time for games. He just wanted to tell Moonhyuk the good news, immediately.

The door wasn’t locked. Dohee entered quietly. Moonhyuk was curled up on a mat, fast asleep.

Even as Dohee approached, he didn’t stir. The room was filled with the soft sound of his breathing. Despite his size, Moonhyuk was curled up like a shrimp in one corner of the mat. At least his bedding looked tidy, he didn’t seem to be a restless sleeper.

Dohee sat on the edge of the mat.

He couldn’t help thinking, If this is how he sleeps, maybe sharing a bed wouldn’t be so bad.

He let out a quiet chuckle. From this angle, he could clearly see Moonhyuk’s sleeping face.

He looked unfairly handsome, even asleep. Dohee reached out and gently touched the ends of Moonhyuk’s now slightly longer hair.

The familiar texture brushed his fingertips. Looking at him, Dohee’s thoughts wandered. He’d wanted to quit the game. Really quit.

He’d thought there was no more meaning, no more fun, no more goal. Helping Moonhyuk had just been a knee-jerk reaction to seeing a bullied newbie. But then Moonhyuk started to interest him, then to matter to him, and eventually, Dohee realized he liked him.

Wanting the first clear for Demon Hunter was selfish. Sure, he was annoyed at Kim Hawon. But mostly, he wanted to let Moonhyuk feel the thrill of victory.

He wanted to praise him, properly, endlessly. Because hyung wanted to do well. Moonhyuk was earnest. He gave his all in everything he did.

He studied during break to earn a scholarship, worked tutoring jobs, and covered living expenses with a part-time job.

    Didn’t he ever get tired?

He wasn’t used to accepting help, but he’d asked a not-so-close guildmate to cover his shifts, lost sleep to raise his character, studied support skills like he was prepping for an exam, and even dared to say he wanted to “pull his weight.”

Watching all of it, Dohee just… wanted to put that trophy in his hands.

    When had it started?

When did seeing him become enough to make him smile? When did he start thinking Moonhyuk was lovable? He wasn’t sure.

Tracing back to the start of a feeling is harder than it seems. And no, it wasn’t just about his face. Sure, Dohee liked good-looking people. But he’d already been caring too much, even before he saw that face in person.

Dohee used to surround himself with people like him, stylish, fun, casually dating without deep interference.

But Kwon Moonhyuk was unlike anyone he’d ever met. So different, he became fascinating.

His offbeat words and unexpected actions were baffling, but also fun. Maybe that’s how it began, the curiosity.

And from there, the feelings. Moonhyuk was still sleeping, oblivious to the world.

He didn’t seem like a light sleeper.

The morning sun crept across his face through the curtains. Dohee rose from the mat and drew them shut. He didn’t want sunlight waking him.

He couldn’t let the sun steal this first moment of waking him. They say people fall for those who resemble them, in looks, personality, upbringing, or even shared hobbies. It makes connection and understanding easier, supposedly.

But other than the game Sword of God, they had nothing in common. And even that, Moonhyuk had picked up only after watching Dohee’s videos.

Dohee suddenly realized. Maybe I like him because he’s nothing like me. He might never fully understand Kwon Moonhyuk. But that was okay. He wanted to explore Moonhyuk’s world. Like a spaceship landing on a new planet, Baek Dohee wanted to explore him, for a very long time. Maybe understanding isn’t always the point. Maybe love is also about accepting a new world and becoming part of it. Dohee reached out slowly toward the sleeping Moonhyuk. Baek Dohee was ready.

Ready to dive into a whole new world.
