(UNDER EDITING)UPDATES ON WEDNESDAY AND SATURDAY!
Hello! Thank you for reading and supporting ASFSODS. Your comments and support are my extra motivation to update and translate a story. I appreciate it if you can comment:)

Although Jiang Siheng had told Wen Chi to go catch chickens by himself, when the agreed time came, the viewers in the livestream still saw the man walking beside Wen Chi to the back poultry farm.

However, his handsome face remained expressionless, not at all like someone heading to experience a rural activity.

Zhou Ruoyao took many photos with his phone. Having grown up with a silver spoon in his mouth, he never had the chance to experience rural activities like these. Along the way, he took pictures of anything that piqued his interest, planning to pick out the best ones and show them to his parents when he got back.

Tian Yang saw Zhou Ruoyao taking photos and came up with a good idea. “Why don’t we take a group photo?”

    Zhou Ruoyao: “With the chickens?”

Tian Yang, who hadn’t planned on doing that at all, thought for a moment. “Emmm… if you really want to shoot it that way, then fine.”

    Zhou Ruoyao’s livestream chat:

    [Young master, that’s so you]

    Tian Yang’s livestream chat:

    [His uncle spoils his dad]

Wen Chi happily withdrew his gaze from the two of them, turning to look at Jiang Siheng, who hadn’t said much. Seeing the man’s tired face, Wen Chi couldn’t help but laugh and said, “You don’t have to come.”

Jiang Siheng glanced at Wen Chi, who was grinning happily, and his bad mood about going to a place covered in chicken manure lifted as soon as he saw his boyfriend’s smile.

Wen Chi, seeing how clingy Jiang Siheng was, felt his heart soften and quietly moved a little closer to him.

Fortunately, the poultry farm wasn’t as dirty as everyone had imagined. In fact, the floor was relatively clean. However, no matter how clean it was, there was still that faint smell of chicken manure in the air.

“Where are the chickens?” Tian Yang asked, peering around but not spotting any chickens.

The staff smiled and said, “They’re inside.” He opened a small wooden door and stepped aside, letting Wen Chi and the others go in.

Wen Chi turned to Jiang Siheng and said, “Teacher Jiang, why don’t you go back? You don’t have to force yourself to come along.”

For some unknown reason, Jiang Siheng didn’t want to leave. Wen Chi scratched his nose, feeling a bit guilty about leaving Jiang Siheng behind, so he decided not to go alone.

It seemed like Jiang Siheng noticed Wen Chi’s dilemma. He raised his hand and gently pushed Wen Chi’s back, softly saying, “Go have fun.”

Being with Zhou Ruoyao and the others felt safer than being with him.

Wen Chi took a couple of steps forward, pursing his lips as he looked at Jiang Siheng. “What about you?”

Jiang Siheng replied, “I’ll go back and drink tea.”

Wen Chi, who had just felt reluctant to part with Jiang Siheng, suddenly had his emotions vanish. “…”

He couldn’t help but roll his eyes, hands on his hips, and said irritably, “Then why did you come with me?”

Jiang Siheng replied, “I’m going for a walk.”

    Wen Chi: “…”

    Jiang Siheng’s livestream chat:

[For a moment, I didn’t know what to say in the chat…]

[Jiang Siheng, as expected of you. Sticking to your wife but calling it a walk.]

[How many CP fans does Jiang Siheng have in his livestream?]

[Quite a few, I’m one of them.]

[I guess I am too? Although I didn’t like Wen Chi at first, because he was so unknown. But now that he’s with Jiang Siheng, it’s just like leeching off popularity.]

[I heard Jiang Siheng was too scared to watch his own dating show at first because he was afraid of seeing him be close with other people. But now I’m just angry at him for not immediately getting with someone as great as Wen Chi.]

[Your wife is fine, but next second, she’s mine.]

Jiang Siheng reached out and patted Wen Chi on the head before turning and walking away. It seemed like he wasn’t just saying he was going back to drink tea.

Wen Chi watched Jiang Siheng’s retreating figure, snorted lightly, and walked in the opposite direction to join Zhou Ruoyao and Tian Yang, who had already gone inside.

On the second floor of a suite, Xu Yuqing stood by the window, looking down. From his current position, he could just see the poultry farm below.

Which meant that he had witnessed the “reluctant” scene between Wen Chi and Jiang Siheng.

“Are you really going to do this?”

A hoarse and unfamiliar voice came from the phone beside him. “Let me remind you, Jiang Siheng is the only son of the president of the Jiang Group. I’ve heard that Jiang Lixiao is considering handing over the management of the Jiang Group to him.”

“So what?” Xu Yuqing’s eyes were calm, “Don’t worry. As long as you help me with this, no one will suspect you.”

The voice hesitated for a moment, then asked, “Can I ask why you’re so sure Jiang Siheng won’t suspect you?”

From below came the sound of laughter. Xu Yuqing looked over, and a cruel smile curved his lips, almost manic, “You don’t need to worry about that. When the time comes, just do as I say.”

Without waiting for a response, Xu Yuqing hung up the phone and walked back to the room, taking his microphone off and placing it aside.

Before the door closed, he could hear the sound of another call being made, but the content was unclear. He could only vaguely catch a few words, “… I already… I hope you don’t…”

    …

Wen Chi returned after catching the chickens, still wearing the onesie work clothes the staff had prepared for him, but his whole body was covered in dirt. When he stood in front of Jiang Siheng, the man looked at the once clean and sweet little dog, now seemingly rebellious, rolling in the garbage and covered in dirt, and he felt a headache coming on.

Wen Chi happily said, “Teacher Jiang, we’ll have stewed chicken for dinner tonight!”

Jiang Siheng sighed helplessly, stood up, and habitually reached to pat Wen Chi’s head but when he saw the feathers stuck in the boy’s hair, he hesitated for a moment and ultimately didn’t pat him.

    Main livestream chat:

[Teacher Jiang, you should have seen how Chi Bao caught the chickens.]

[LMAO I’m about to die from laughing.]

[Teacher Jiang’s reaction is too real.]

[Ugh, little brother looks so dirty.]

[Wait, where are Young Master Zhou and Tian Yang?]

[They’ve probably gone back to their rooms.]

Jiang Siheng said, “I know, go take a shower and change your clothes.”

Wen Chi responded, “Okay, got it.”

Wen Chi happily skipped upstairs to shower, and Jiang Siheng followed behind. He glanced at the onesie work clothes that were discarded on the floor, turned around, and called room service to have the staff come clean up the area and take the dirty clothes.

The shower didn’t take long, and Wen Chi came out with his hair still damp but clean and refreshed. He wore a soft, comfortable short-sleeve t-shirt and athletic pants.

Jiang Siheng saw Wen Chi and waved for him to come over. Wen Chi sat down in the chair in front of him, and soon the sound of a hairdryer could be heard.

Having someone help dry your hair was an incredibly happy and comforting experience. The man’s long fingers moved through the damp, soft strands of hair, and Wen Chi closed his eyes in bliss.

    Wen Chi’s livestream chat:

[Ugh, I’m so jealous of people who have someone to help them dry their hair. I get so irritated doing it myself.]

[Teacher Jiang is such a good man, perfect for marriage.]

[Watching them interact makes me so happy. I can’t believe there’s only one episode left; I’m going to lose it.]

[Ahhhhh, don’t remind me that Heart 2 is almost over!]

[Does this mean we won’t get to see the Hengwen CP after the show ends? #Crying#]

“All done.” Jiang Siheng looked down at Wen Chi, who had almost fallen asleep with his head resting against him. “Are you tired?”

“No.” Wen Chi lazily opened his eyes, sat up, and looked at Jiang Siheng. “I heard that Xiao Bai Jie and the others are picking oranges. I want to go see it!”

Young men in their twenties always seem to have endless energy. Seeing Wen Chi, who had just finished catching chickens less than half an hour ago, eager to go somewhere else, Jiang Siheng stared at him for a few seconds before sighing silently, “Fine.”

How could he say no to such a cute boyfriend?

Oh, except for the chicken-catching part.

The orchard was on the left side of the farmhouse and was quite large. Wen Chi found Zhou Yunbai, Yao Yiling, and Chen Peizhi, and skillfully grabbed an orange from the bamboo basket on the ground. He gave half of it to Jiang Siheng and, while eating, asked Zhou Yunbai, “Xiao Bai Jie, have you all been picking oranges the whole time?”

“No,” Zhou Yunbai replied, pointing in another direction, “We’ve picked other fruits too, but we left them over there. If you want some, you can go get them from that side.”

Wen Chi looked in the direction Zhou Yunbai pointed and nodded, “Okay.”

Zhou Yunbai, wearing a baseball cap, had the brim slightly low, partially obscuring her vision. She raised her hand to adjust the brim and then noticed that Wen Chi and Jiang Siheng were wearing matching outfits. It wasn’t too obvious, but it was enough for her to notice. She smiled knowingly, as if she had uncovered something, and grinned.

Wen Chi dragged Jiang Siheng over to the fruit-picking group. He kept eating the orange while directing Jiang Siheng to pick the orange that looked the most beautiful.

Jiang Siheng looked over and, without saying a word, walked over to pick it. Instead of putting it in the bamboo basket, he placed the orange directly into Wen Chi’s hand.

When Yao Yiling saw this, she nudged Chen Peizhi with her elbow and said, “Look at Teacher Jiang.”

Chen Peizhi, who had been looking elsewhere, turned to look at Yao Yiling with a puzzled expression, still chewing on a strawberry. “What?”

Yao Yiling looked at her boyfriend for two seconds, sighed helplessly, and gently patted his head, saying affectionately, “It’s nothing, go ahead and play.”

    Chen Peizhi: “?”

Thanks to everyone’s hard work in the afternoon, Manager Wang instructed the kitchen to use the ingredients that the guests had picked in the afternoon, including the chickens caught by Wen Chi and Tian Yang, to make the dinner so the guests could enjoy the fruits of their labor.

With about half an hour to go before the usual dinner time, everyone sat on the stone steps next to a small pond in the front yard, chatting and watching the goldfish swim while waiting for dinner. While chatting, Zhou Ruoyao suddenly asked, “Can we catch the fish in this pond to eat?” The conversation immediately stopped.

Yao Yiling looked at Zhou Ruoyao, half amused, half exasperated, and said, “You really are…”

Tian Yang also thought it was funny. While laughing, he took out his phone to post a few pictures from today on Weibo. He habitually checked the trending topics first, but when he saw the words under the trending topic, his whole body froze.

    #WenChiGetOutoftheEntertainmentIndustry#

The hashtag was followed by the words “explosive” in red.

Tian Yang stared at those seven words, reading them over and over again, as if he couldn’t believe his eyes. He didn’t click on the link and instead turned to look at Wen Chi, who was sitting a few people away.

The boy had soft, delicate facial features, the kind that older generations would immediately like upon meeting him.

Tian Yang opened his mouth, unsure whether he should say anything.

Wen Chi seemed to sense someone was watching him. He turned and saw it was Tian Yang, whose expression looked a bit strange. Wen Chi froze for a moment, then smiled and asked, “Yang Ge, what’s wrong?”

Tian Yang hesitated, “Xiao Chi, you…”

Before Tian Yang could finish, everyone saw Ma Chuanbai and two staff members hurrying over, as if something urgent had happened.

Wen Chi slightly raised his eyes and met Ma Chuanbai’s gaze. It seemed like he was coming for him, and an uneasy feeling surged in his chest.

Sure enough, Ma Chuanbai stopped in front of Wen Chi, his tone colder than usual. “Teacher Wen, please come with me.”
