Edmund read the writing on the letter and let out m a small laugh. The knights’ shoulders trembled.

It was even more so because they knew all the secretly given orders of the emperor.

“His Majesty said until you accept His Highness as bride….”

    “We accept.”

    “…..Pardon?”

“Ah, of course not me, my son. Son, look at this. The emperor seems to really want to become in-laws with us. Too hasty.”

Yutis approached Edmund and examined the letter. If Edmund had laughed, he gritted his teeth.

The crunching sound echoed, and his demonic energy rippled.

“Your Highness, have you stamped this?”

    “Hm?”

What Yutis showed Lebel was a marriage contract. It was a document where Lebel’s consent had already been obtained. If Yutis wrote his identity and stamped it, it would have the effect of officially becoming husband and wife. Lebel stared blankly at what seemed like a stamp next to his name.

“Ah, the tutor showed it to me.”

The human in charge of classes had shown him that. He had dipped his index finger in something strange and stamped it.

He knew it was a magic contract, but he could nullify that contract anytime. In the first place, a law set by mere humans was nothing to Lebel.

    “Did you read the contents?”

    “No.”

He stamped because he was told to stamp. Anyway, he was being sold as a bride.

“If we submit this to the emperor, we will officially become husband and wife.”

    “Then do it.”

    Lebel said nonchalantly.

Yutis’s eyes trembled. He was pondering if he should really write the marriage contract like this.

Lebel furrowed his brow. They’re going to marry, so why is he so worried?

    “Really, you won’t regret it?”

“…Am I oblivious? Do you actually hate me?”

Lebel had often been scolded by other demons for being oblivious.

    “No!”

But from the moment he asked if he was his husband and he said no, there were too many suspicious things.

When Lebel looked at him with suspicious eyes, the flustered Yutis bit his fingertip to draw a little blood and then roughly stamped it right there.

    “I stamped it.”

Yutis declared, and as Lebel blinked, the marriage contract disappeared.

Seeing Lebel tracing the empty air with his gaze, Yutis explained.

    “It went to the emperor.”

It was that kind of magic. He really became a human bride. Lebel was wrapped in a strange feeling.

Edmund, who had been watching the situation, said to Yutis.

“Yutis, handle it yourself. He’s not my guest, he’s yours. Damian, let’s go.”

“Go? We have to chase those guys out!”

    “Yutis will handle it all.”

    Edmund left with Damian.

“Your Highness, what do you want to do?”

Yutis asked Lebel again. He kept thinking, but this human seems to think a lot about him. Yes, he acted like Karon. Karon always asked Lebel’s opinion about everything. Since they’re legally married, is it natural?

At that moment, the knights shouted toward Lebel.

“Your Highness! Are you just watching their atrocities?”

Is that something a guest says to the castle’s owner?

Several knights looked exhausted from the fierce battle with the demonic beast.

In Lebel’s eyes looking at the knights, there was no sympathy. Rather, since they had been annoying all along, if they achieved their purpose, it would be good if they disappeared.

    That was Lebel’s thought.

“I told you. The owner of this castle isn’t me. Handle it yourself.”

“But aren’t there knights or servants who guarded Your Highness in the royal palace? If you tell me, I can….”

    “Hm? Who?”

    “……”

“Ah, Hans the knight? I don’t remember anyone else. I didn’t like that guy either. He always blocked the way. You can chase them all out. They’re humans unrelated to me.”

At Lebel’s words, not only the imperial knights but also the castle’s servants pretending not to watch showed quite surprised expressions.

Yutis, hearing Lebel’s words, glared at them. From the first time he saw him, during the carriage escort, he felt it. Lebel was a prince, but no one valued him.

In the first place, he was the imperial capital’s headache called the Foolish Prince.

That’s why they didn’t hesitate to send him as the north’s bride, which the empire hated so much. He was just being used politically.

Thanks to that, he was able to meet Lebel, but he didn’t like those who belittled him.

Yutis stared at the knights with cold eyes.

“We won’t provide accommodation for you. Return to the empire on your own. You came even though you know we don’t accept guests in winter.”

“Are you chasing us out like this? His Majesty…!”

There were knights protesting until the end, but Yutis ignored them all.

The knights, exhausted from the long journey, were helplessly dragged away by Yutis’s subordinates.

Lebel quietly watched the knights being chased out.

Unlike the emperor’s order to fight upon arrival, he had no intention of fighting. The difference was huge.

Imperial knights who couldn’t fight demonic beasts well and northern knights. It was an obvious fight who would win.

“Young master, what about the betrothal gifts?”

“Send them back together. I have no intention of accepting.”

    Yutis ordered the servants.

Lebel saw pride and respect in the servants’ eyes.

He’s respected. So don’t keep looking at me with those eyes.

Since he’s so precious compared to Lebel, it’s a waste to give him to someone like him.

Did Karon or his subordinates look at other demons with those eyes too?

Yutis watched the knights being dragged away and turned to Lebel and said.

“I’m sorry for making Your Highness stand. I’ll guide you to the room.”

    “Room?”

“Yes. I didn’t expect to show it this soon, but there’s a room prepared for this time. It’s worth preparing in advance.”

Yutis said with a small smile. Lebel blinked. Having a prepared room was unexpected.

Just a moment ago, the person who said he wouldn’t marry him, who said he respected his opinion and that he didn’t have to marry.

Did he want to prepare thoroughly? Lebel followed Yutis, but when he went outside, he was puzzled.

“Why go out? Isn’t that the main castle?”

Lebel asked, looking at the large castle behind. Yutis lowered his eyes slightly, moved his lips, and slowly continued.

“I live in the castle next to the main castle, not the main one.”

    “Why?”

“…Because you have to be independent when you form a family.”

Family? Does he mean marriage? But they signed the marriage documents today?

Lebel knew something was strange but didn’t ask. There was a small castle visible not far from the main castle.

Calling it small, it was majestic and large enough not to lose to the main castle. Rather, the serene silence draped over it appealed to him more.

The main castle had many people moving around, but here there seemed to be fewer servants.

The corridor was quiet from the start, and the room Yutis guided to was quiet too.

It didn’t sparkle with gold like the imperial capital, but it had a serene charm.

It was a room for an unwanted bride, but there wasn’t a single piece of furniture that wasn’t luxurious.

To block the cold, thick and fluffy curtains were hung on the windows.

The bed was large enough for two or three people to lie down comfortably, and the touch felt much better than in the imperial capital.

“Your Highness, do you like it? The room isn’t fully completed yet, so I’m worried it might be lacking.”

    Not fully completed?

In Lebel’s eyes, the room already looked more than sufficient. Recalling the treatment he received in the imperial capital, he couldn’t help but be satisfied.

“This is enough. Am I staying here?”

“Yes. My parents live in the main castle next door, so there won’t be any clashes.”

    “Hm, that’s good.”

At Lebel’s short answer, Yutis flinched and started apologizing.

“I’m sorry for the unpleasant words my parents said to Your Highness. I’ll apologize on their behalf. They all said it out of worry for me, so please don’t hate them.”

Hm, there was some opposition. With Damian, called dad.

Wait, what should he call him? Father-in-law? Father? He needs to think about titles a bit.

    “I don’t mind particularly.”

“Thank you. Do you like the room?”

    “I like the quiet.”

“I’m glad. I deliberately designated a secluded place as the room. Ah, the room next door is mine.”

Yutis said with a relieved smile. Since they’re husband and wife, his room is right next door.

“Now we’re legally husband and wife?”

“The documents have gone to the emperor, so they must have been approved immediately.”

“But you’re going to call me Your Highness?”

Even though he became human, Lebel wasn’t a prince. The title Your Highness wasn’t familiar.

If they became husband and wife, the title a husband calls his wife isn’t fixed.

He doesn’t know why he’s the wife role, but since it’s bride, the wife role fits. Ah, it’s because of the omega trait?

“What will you call me? Wife? Darling?”

    “Ah……”

Unlike Lebel saying it casually, Yutis panicked at his words, and his nape turned bright red.

Yutis couldn’t bear it and called the title Lebel mentioned in a tiny ant-like voice, but soon bit his lip.

Thanks to that, not just his nape but his face turned red. But Lebel, lost in thought pondering titles, didn’t see it.

“Should I call you husband? Or should I call you darling too?”
