by Slashh-XOYang Moshou stepped outside. The wind was strong and messed up the hairstyle he had carefully styled earlier, but he didn’t care anymore.
A call from Xiao Shitou came in quickly. “Why aren’t you out yet? We’ve been waiting for ages.”
Yang Moshou held up his phone. “I’m at the entrance. Where are you?”
Just as he finished speaking, someone patted him on the shoulder.
“Right here.”
Yang Moshou turned around, frowning at the person who had touched him.
The man was around 1.8 meters tall, with slender eyes and a pleasant face.
He wore ash-gray trousers and a blue pinstriped shirt, neatly tucked and giving off a sharp, energetic vibe.
Yang Moshou’s bangs had been blown into curls by the wind. “Who are you?”
The call had already ended. Xiao Shitou ran up from behind the man. “Xiao Yang, let me introduce you. This is Mo Mo, the one I mentioned I wanted you to meet…”
Then he turned to face Mo Mo. “This is Yang Moshou. You probably recognized him already, right? He’s not very photogenic in pictures…”
Yang Moshou finally remembered. He shook hands with the man. “Nice to meet you. Judging from your name, I bet you get laid a lot.”
Mo Mo smiled. “Not really. I’m actually pretty conservative when it comes to that.”
Xiao Shitou elbowed Yang Moshou. “What’s that supposed to mean…”
Yang Moshou put his phone away. “So where are we eating?”
Xiao Shitou pouted. “Oh, come on. You always choose where we eat. Just pick a place already.”
Yang Moshou thought for a moment. “I kinda want Chongqing hotpot, but the one I like is under renovation…”
“You like that place too?” Mo Mo looked at him, smiling. “The old location’s under renovation because they’ve already opened a new one. It’s on Huanghe Road. Why don’t we try it?”
Yang Moshou’s eyes lit up. “Sounds good.”
Mo Mo smiled back. “Alright, wait here. I’ll bring the car around.”
He gave Xiao Shitou a quick heads-up and headed to the parking lot.
While they waited, Xiao Shitou had a smug look on his face.
“Well? Not bad, right?”
Yang Moshou ran a hand through his hair. “Yeah, he’s dressed well.”
“Of course. He works at a bank. You could say he checks most of the boxes for tall, rich, and handsome…” Xiao Shitou muttered in frustration. “I chased after him for ages, but he’s just not into me. Only likes the pale and slender type. So I figured I’d introduce him to you instead.”
Yang Moshou looked around. “Rich and handsome, huh? What car does he drive?”
“Hmm… the car’s pretty average. It’s a BYD assigned by his office. But it totally shows his personality. He had it modified. Matte blue body, a big rear wing, daytime running lights, devil-eye headlights. It looks really flashy on the road.”
Yang Moshou smacked his lips. “What’s the point of making a BYD look that flashy…”
Xiao Shitou shook his head. “You can’t even tell it’s a BYD anymore. He took off all the badges and just left a B with wings. At a glance, it kinda looks like a Bentley.”
“B with wings? Sounds more like he’s calling someone a show-off pussy…” Yang Moshou looked at the approaching car. “Still, gotta say, the way he modded it doesn’t look half bad.”
Xiao Shitou tugged his arm. “Hey, the car’s here, let’s go.”
They’d barely taken two steps when a Cayenne suddenly pulled up right in front of them.
Yang Moshou recognized the car. He also knew who was inside.
The rear window rolled down. The man inside had a cigarette in his mouth, one brow raised, looking insufferably smug.
Xu Wanhe hadn’t planned to come looking for Yang Moshou.
He was just driving by when Yang Moshou happened to cross his mind. On a whim, he figured he’d stop and check in, and sure enough, there he was right outside the hospital.
When Xu Wanhe saw him, his first reaction was that maybe he’d been seeing this kid a little too much lately.
But then again, maybe he was just feeling irritable and bored. This kid was kind of interesting, good in bed too, and it was his first time with someone like that. Way cleaner than that piece of trash Tang Ziyan.
Just thinking about Tang Ziyan put Xu Wanhe in a bad mood. The reason he’d been so agitated these past few days was all because of him.
Because he had taken care of everything that needed to be handled, Tang Ziyan was getting ready to leave.
He was leaving this place.
Xu Wanhe had thought he’d go crazy when this day finally came.
But for some reason, he just felt irritated.
He ended the call and stared at Yang Moshou.
“Get in.”
Xiao Shitou looked at Xu Wanhe. He seemed familiar, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t remember where he had seen him before.
Yang Moshou held his breath and stared at him for a few seconds. The guy was wearing a snakeskin vest with nothing underneath, and still looked that damn good. It was honestly criminal.
“What are you doing here all of a sudden? What if I wasn’t around?”
Xu Wanhe flicked the cigarette out the window. “I said get in. Cut the crap.”
Yang Moshou thought it over. “I’ll go if you’re buying me dinner.”
But just as he said that, the car window rolled up.
Yang Moshou curled his lips in annoyance.
He thought to himself, how could this guy be so stingy? The moment he heard “treat me to a meal,” he stopped inviting him. What a cheapskate. Once he’s old, he’ll definitely be the kind who argues at the market over a few cents of vegetables, hands on his hips and ready to fight.
Xu Wanhe just didn’t feel like explaining. He simply told one of his men to get out and drag the guy in.
Yang Moshou struggled a bit but was eventually shoved into the car, all while Xiao Shitou let out a weak and useless protest.
Xu Wanhe sat in the backseat with his legs crossed, watching Yang Moshou coldly as he was hauled in.
Yang Moshou didn’t know what had happened outside. He only saw Xiao Shitou’s expression change, from shocked to giving him a small wave of goodbye.
Mo Mo came over too, looking puzzled.
Yang Moshou felt a pang of disappointment. He had been looking forward to a nice meal.
He turned his head, just about to complain to Xu Wanhe, but then his eyes landed on the man’s pants. “Wide-leg trousers?” He looked at the vest. “Were you doing a fashion show or something?”
Xu Wanhe’s face stayed cold. He wasn’t sure if that was a compliment or sarcasm. “No. I was just out having lunch with someone.”
Yang Moshou wasn’t happy. “So what am I supposed to eat later?”
Xu Wanhe frowned. “All you ever think about is food. We’ll talk about it later.”
Now Yang Moshou was fully pissed.
He scooted to the other side of the seat, pulled out his phone, and started playing Tetris. No matter what Xu Wanhe said, he ignored him completely.
Back in school, Yang Moshou had been a Tetris god. Every morning he’d jump online to grind blocks before the school net slowed down. He was good at it, playing at insane speed. His finger movements were so quick and fluid that Xu Wanhe, watching from the side, was left speechless.
When Tang Ziyan was still seventeen, Xu Wanhe often took him out for lunch. While they waited for the food, Tang Ziyan would sit there playing Snake, and Xu Wanhe would watch from the side.
Xu Wanhe was quick when it came to fighting, but when it came to anything tech-related, he was hopelessly slow. Back when he was younger, he even stayed overnight at an internet café trying to practice, but the results were disappointing. All he remembered was the network admin repeatedly telling him to stop using the mouse from the next table. He got so annoyed he beat the guy until he puked blood. After that, he avoided computers altogether. If he caught one of his guys playing on one, he’d beat them too.
Still, deep down, Xu Wanhe had always felt that people who were good at games were really talented.
The car suddenly went completely quiet.
The driver couldn’t help glancing at the rearview mirror out of curiosity.
Maybe it was the vest, but Xu Wanhe’s good build looked even more obvious. Thick muscles piled across his arms and chest, his bronze skin marked with several brutal scars, dark red and tinged with black.
Xu Wanhe sat there with a grim expression as he lit a cigarette. After putting away the lighter, he turned to glance at the pretty boy beside him, who was still focused on his game.
Without realizing it, the tension in his brow eased a little. A faint sense of admiration stirred in him.
