by LiliumChapter 51: Husband, You’re Amazing!
Wen Jue never imagined that after he spoke those words, Jiang Chuang would suddenly burst into tears while hugging him.
“Wuwuwu… really? Zh-Zhiyu, you’re not lying to me, right? Wuwuwuwu…” Jiang Chuang was overwhelmed with emotion, which eventually turned into pure joy as he cried, “Physician Bai wasn’t lying! Y-You really are getting better!”
It turned out none of them had truly dared to believe Bai Yuan…
Meanwhile, Bai Yuan, nearly sneezing while meditating: …
In the end, it took a lot of coaxing from Wen Jue, promise after promise that he would obediently wait at home and tell him everything once he returned from court, before Jiang Chuang finally wiped his tears and rushed off to attend court.
Wen Jue kept his regained sight a secret from Changning for now. He feared that if he celebrated too loudly, the heavens might take back his fortune.
After all, he still couldn’t see clearly yet. He’d wait until his vision improved a little more before telling his sister and Changning.
____
After Wen Jue finished explaining everything, Jiang Chuang chomped down angrily on his lips. “So you’ve been sneakily staring at me for three days?! No wonder I kept feeling a chill down my back. I thought I’d seen a ghost!”
Wen Jue laughed and stepped back, begging for mercy. “It wasn’t on purpose. I couldn’t talk, and I could only get one word out at a time. If I’d told you then, wouldn’t you have gone mad with worry?”
“That’s true!” Jiang Chuang nodded, then couldn’t hold back his excitement. “Physician Bai is amazing! I really don’t know how to thank him! And we owe Zhuge Qing too. If not for him, who knows when you would’ve gotten better!”
Wen Jue said, “I wanted to thank him too, but he keeps saying it’s not necessary. He said once I recover, he’ll be leaving. He also said I’m recovering faster than he expected. Said…” Wen Jue coughed softly “it’s partly thanks to you.”
“Me?” Jiang Chuang blinked. “I didn’t do anything!”
Wen Jue’s eyes sparkled with amusement as he smiled mysteriously. “The physician said, it’s because your yang energy is abundant, and you’ve given me a lot of essence. That’s why I’ve recovered so quickly.”
Wait, what?
Jiang Chuang instantly understood this as Bai Yuan’s blessing, have sex, do it often, do it more!
Suddenly he wrapped his arms around Wen Jue’s waist, pulling him close until their noses nearly touched. With what had just been said, the air between them suddenly turned suggestive.
Jiang Chuang asked, “Zhiyu, at this distance, can you see me clearly?”
Wen Jue shook his head. “No, it’s still blurry.”
Jiang Chuang then asked, “Did the physician say how much your eyes might recover?”
Bai Yuan hadn’t. Wen Jue didn’t dare hope for too much. “Honestly, I’m already satisfied with how far I’ve come. I never dared to imagine seeing again. Now, I can walk without the cane, though I still have to be careful.”
Of all the things Jiang Chuang had gained since being reborn, Wen Jue’s improved vision was what he cherished most. It was something he hadn’t even dared to dream of in the past life.
Of course, he still hoped for a full recovery, but he knew better than to demand too much.
Still, he hadn’t expected that even when blind, his “little fox spirit” was already seductive enough, but now that Zhiyu could see a little? It was lethal. A real thousand-year fox spirit!
Following his request, Jiang Chuang obediently wore his court robes again for Wen Jue to see, and just from looking, Zhiyu’s hands started to wander.
At first, he held Jiang Chuang’s hand and observed, “Husband’s hands are so big, almost a whole size larger than mine!” Then he played with his fingers. “You have thick calluses.”
Jiang Chuang let him play. “I’ve held a sword so long; naturally, I developed them.”
“Your Adam’s apple is moving. Can I touch it?” Wen Jue asked, already doing so before finishing the question.
Faced with those innocent, sincere eyes that now carried a faint glow of life, Jiang Chuang couldn’t bring himself to refuse. “You’ve already kissed it, remember?”
“Really?” Wen Jue beamed. “Then let me relive the memory.”
He leaned in and kissed it again. Even though it wasn’t the first time, Jiang Chuang’s breath caught, and a certain part of him immediately stood at attention, without a shred of hesitation.
“Husband, your muscles are about to burst out of your court robes. How can something so proper look… so improper when you wear it?”
Improper, Jiang Chuang understood instantly. Wearing the robes tight enough to show off his curves and muscles, it was a look favored by those handsome young men in male courtesan houses.
He didn’t mind. In fact, the thought turned him on. He even fantasized that he was one of those courtesans and Wen Jue a client who had come to pick him…
Too stimulating. His breath started to tremble.
“So this is muscle? Husband, you’re amazing!” Wen Jue pulled open the collar of the robe, admiring and touching with fascination.
Jiang Chuang couldn’t take it anymore. He grabbed Zhiyu’s hand, his voice restrained. “Wen Xiao Yu!”
But Wen Jue had no intention of letting him off easy. With a light tug, he let himself “fall” into his arms, pressing close and whispering into his ear with temptation, “How about… on the next rest day, you wear this while we do it?”
With his vision slightly restored, Zhiyu was just as excited as him!
“No need to wait for a rest day or night. We can do it right now!” Jiang Chuang gritted his teeth, ready to carry him to bed, only to be gently pushed away.
Wen Jue looked completely innocent. “No daytime indulgence. Be patient, husband!”
“Damn it! Wen Xiao Yu!” No matter how flustered Jiang Chuang was, if Wen Jue said no, it was no. Even if he wanted it too.
Wen Jue leaned against his shoulder, pulling his hand somewhere else.
His cheeks flushed, and he met Jiang Chuang’s eyes. Though his vision was still blurry, he could see enough to tell Jiang Chuang was on the edge.
In a soft, trembling voice, he whispered, “You’re not the only one holding back. I am too. It’s the first time I can see again… Yunchuan, I’m scared.”
That little tease didn’t end up doing much. Jiang Chuang didn’t speak or move, but his fingers did.
Wen Jue bit his lip, eyes glistening like they’d just been sparked by something.
“Yunchuan… don’t…” His breathing shook.
Jiang Chuang said nothing.
Suddenly, Wen Jue’s heart skipped. He saw something red on Jiang Chuang’s face.
Curious, he reached out and touched it, it was damp. Then he caught the scent of metal.
Wen Jue’s expression froze in disbelief. “Yunchuan! You’re… you’re having a nosebleed?!”
