    ========

    Note:

    The wind was as fierce as a mountain being lifted, the rain as heavy as a river being poured. – Song Dynasty, Lu You, “In the Great Wind and Rain”

    “The wine cup overflowed with the golden liquid, the drumsticks struck the kettle drums relentlessly. Calling the exiled poet to wake with the sound of spring water, overturning the pearl palace to pour out the jade essence.” – Song Dynasty, Su Shi, “A Storm at the Beautiful Hall” (Ahem~ There seems to be a hidden meaning here.)

    “The elder values time, while the youth takes separation lightly.” “Thinking of you, I fear you will leave me, the carriage and horses are ready to depart. How happy is your journey, while I alone am unhappy.” – Song Dynasty, Ouyang Xiu, “In Response to Yuanfu’s Poem on September 8th, When We Met and Drank Together” (The beautiful chrysanthemums in the courtyard, singing and reciting with you. This poem also shouldn’t be thought about too deeply.)
