Don’t worry. I think I know where we are.

Just as Dohee was typing that in chat, more messages from Knockoff started popping up one after another.

[Party] GOingSupporter187: I think her mother’s really sick… ㅠㅡㅠ If we find this place, do you think it’ll help her feel better???

[Party] GOingSupporter187: We can find it, right!? 8ㅅ8

    [Party] GOingSupporter187: But I don’t recognize anything… ㅠㅡㅠ What do we do…?

So that’s what they meant by “what do we do”…? Dohee let out another incredulous laugh. Seriously, what a character.

Let’s see… the last emperor of the Leto Empire, before it collapsed…

Dohee paused. He couldn’t remember the name. Anyway, after the wedding in the imperial capital, the last emperor traveled to Tandalon. He stayed in a mansion in Angph, and from the way NPC Rajanin described it, the place they were hinting at was probably that mansion.

While the emperor was staying there, love serenades were played constantly, and lilies bloomed all around, that kind of stuff was easy to figure out if you just paid a bit of attention while playing. It wasn’t hard to deduce. If this weren’t two total newbies like Knockoff doing the quest, anyone else could probably find it right away. Even newbies would likely look up guides or videos for this event, so let’s be honest, the difficulty was about as low as it could get.

The mansion where the emperor stayed had become one of Angph’s most famous landmarks. It wasn’t hard for the two of them to find it by talking to nearby NPCs, who explained that the mansion’s garden was now maintained like a public park.

[Party] GOingSupporter187: Gasp, I think this is the place!

After passing through a few map zones, they reached the “Central Tree-Lined Avenue” field in Angph, where the mansion was located.

[Party] GOingSupporter187: But there aren’t any trees lining this road… Why is it called Central Tree-Lined Avenue?

[Party] GOingSupporter187: There are a lot of trees, I guess…

[Party] AssaGo: Maybe it used to be tree-lined, and now it’s just gone downhill?

[Party] GOingSupporter187: …8ㅅ8 Sometimes you say things so harshly…

[Party] AssaGo: LOL ??? I’m just stating Tandalon history, what do you want me to do

    [Party] GOingSupporter187: Still… ㅠㅡㅠ

[Party] AssaGo: You totally remind me of someone

    [Party] GOingSupporter187: Who…?

[Party] AssaGo: Do you know your MBTI?

Dohee wasn’t particularly interested in MBTI, but thanks to Yeohoo constantly going on about it, he’d picked up a rough understanding. It was some kind of personality typing system. One of the letters–F–stood for someone with strong empathy or something. Dohee was 90% sure Knockoff was an F.

[Party] GOingSupporter187: Ah! Yeah, I know that one!

[Party] GOingSupporter187: A girl in my class told me to take it once during the semester

[Party] GOingSupporter187: So I tried it out ㅎㅁㅎ

[Party] AssaGo: You’re totally an F, right? lol

[Party] GOingSupporter187: Huh… how did you know!?

[Party] AssaGo: I just knew lol

[Party] GOingSupporter187: I’m an ISFJ, do you know what that means?

    [Party] AssaGo: Not really

[Party] GOingSupporter187: Honestly I don’t either… ㅎㅅㅎ I think it means I’m emotional, organized, and introverted… or something!

[Party] AssaGo: LOL MBTI’s kinda fun

[Party] GOingSupporter187: I think mine fits pretty well! What about you?

[Party] AssaGo: What was it again? I don’t remember… but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t F

    [Party] AssaGo: I think I had E and T

[Party] GOingSupporter187: If you remember later, tell me too!!!

    [Party] AssaGo: OK

Still chatting about pointless MBTI stuff, the two eventually arrived in front of the mansion. An NPC greeted them, saying that more adventurers had been visiting lately and invited them to take their time looking around, opening the mansion gates. A few other players were already wandering inside. No one sleeps at this hour, huh. Thinking that, Dohee followed Knockoff into the mansion garden.

This mansion was well-known if you were even slightly involved in the game community. Couples who played together often posted photos taken here.

Can you complete the quest by taking a picture anywhere? Probably not…

As they roamed the garden, Dohee spotted a glowing area beneath a large tree. Oddly enough, lilies were blooming there, despite the cold.

[Party] AssaGo: Looks like we’re supposed to take the photo here. Come over

    [Party] GOingSupporter187: Okay!

Seeing Knockoff’s character rushing over, Dohee let out a snort of laughter. That dangling sable scarf was kind of hilarious.

Whether Knockoff hadn’t realized he could customize his character’s appearance at the start, or just couldn’t be bothered, Dohee wasn’t sure. But it was obvious Knockoff had picked one of the default presets.

A big, burly male character. Fortunately, the face wasn’t bad, but it still wasn’t quite Dohee’s taste. But hey, the world is wide, and everyone has their preferences. Might as well be understanding.

No one had asked him to be understanding, yet Dohee made a conscious effort to do just that as he positioned Knockoff’s character under the sparkling tree.

When Dohee made AssaGo character, he didn’t go all out like with his main, but he’d still spent a fair amount of time on it. Now, seeing this burly male character and his own slender, well-built avatar lined up for a picture… it didn’t exactly look great.

Still, Dohee didn’t want to just take a half-assed shot either.

Pictures had to be carefully composed–with angles, lighting, and background all considered to get a good result.

[Party] AssaGo: Stand here, just a little to the right

    [Party] GOingSupporter187: Like this?

[Party] AssaGo: Yeah, now turn your character slightly to the left. Toward me

    [Party] GOingSupporter187: Like… this? 8ㅅ8

[Party] GOingSupporter187: Can’t we just take the picture as-is…?

[Party] AssaGo: What are you saying? “As-is” isn’t in my vocabulary

    [Party] GOingSupporter187: Okay…!!!

After directing Knockoff through a series of awkward adjustments “come this way,” “look here,” “turn your body”, Dohee finally got a decent angle. He went to his pre-calculated position and took several pictures together.

As soon as he clicked the shot button, a quest completion alert rang out. But Dohee didn’t stop there. He took a few more. After all, the rule of photos was: take a bunch and only keep the best one.

    [Party] GOingSupporter187: Are we done…?

After snapping over a dozen shots, Knockoff asked timidly.

[Party] AssaGo: Yeah, looks like it’s done. Check the alert window

As Knockoff’s character paused, seemingly reading the quest text, Dohee saved the shots. Might be funny to look back at them later.

Clicking the completed quest opened a letter from Rajanin.

    Rajanin’s Letter

    To the adventurer,

    Hello, AssaGo!

We received the photo you took with adventurer GOingSupporter187. I’m writing on behalf of my mother, who isn’t well enough to get around.

They say the last emperor of the Leto Empire, Shenin, spent many happy days there with his consort Arella.

I wonder, did you and your beloved enjoy your time there as well?

It turns out that my parents often went on dates there when they were young. My father has passed, and my mother is too sick to travel now, but I’m sure their memories still live on in that place. I’ll have to visit it again myself sometime soon.

Memories made with someone you love are precious, no matter how much time has passed.

As promised, I’ve enclosed my mother’s “Old Pendant.” Please take good care of it.

    ! Important:

▷ Take the “Old Pendant” left by Rajanin’s mother to the NPC Mute in the village square to continue the quest.

When Dohee closed the letter, the Old Pendant item was automatically added to his inventory. He let out a small sigh. Of course they wouldn’t just hand over a well-made avatar for free. Judging by the pace, it’d probably take at least another five or six hours to finish this quest line.

Soon, Knockoff, having finished reading, spoke up again.

[Party] GOingSupporter187: Did you read it all!?

[Party] AssaGo: Yeah, let’s head to Mute. The village square’s nearby

    [Party] GOingSupporter187: ㅠㅡㅠ I hope Rajanin’s mom finds happiness…

    [Party] AssaGo: …Really?

Dohee responded flatly as he started moving his character again. After passing through a few maps, they arrived at the square. It was Knockoff who brought it up first.

[Party] GOingSupporter187: Would it be okay if we do the next quest tomorrow…?

[Party] AssaGo: Oh right, you said you were tired and heading off early. Yeah, that’s fine.

Checking the time, Dohee realized more than an hour had already flown by. As Knockoff said his goodbyes, Dohee decided to kindly tell him what their schedule looked like tomorrow.
