As soon as Knockoff followed behind and stepped through the portal, the enemies waiting at the entrance began casting their skills. But in that moment, Dohee hurled a skill called Blade of Wind right at them. The unseen blade flying in from a hidden location briefly stunned them, canceling their cast animations.

    [General] BlingBling: ?

    [General] y2kYeomisae: What the heck?

Watching Knockoff’s character fumble in confusion in front of the portal, Dohee pulled an item from his inventory. What Tando had sent earlier was an item called Dark Bomb, not an easy thing to come by. Not only were potion-making masters who could craft it rare, but the ingredients required to make it were both expensive and hard to obtain, even with the money.

The most crucial ingredient for a Dark Bomb was an item called Essence of Permafrost. Even Dohee, who had played since the open beta, had only managed to get five in total, it had an absurdly low drop rate. Even max-level miners had trouble acquiring it, and it only dropped from a high-level mining field in the Tandalon region. Not many players bothered risking their necks to get it.

Dohee had only gotten lucky while grinding, treating it like spiritual discipline. On the personal market, Essence of Permafrost traded at over ten million gold per unit, and even then, it was often unavailable. Currently, it was only used to make Dark Bombs, which were exclusively for PvP, and few players were willing to spend that kind of money for it. Still, its price remained high due to its rarity and the uncertainty of how it might be used in future updates.

Fortunately, Dohee already had Essence of Permafrost. Daeyoung, the famed merchant of SoGod, had the rest of the ingredients, and Tando had the ability to craft the bomb. So it was all a non-issue.

Ten million gold? So what. Money comes and goes.

Without hesitation, Dohee hurled the Dark Bomb at them.

[System] ‘AssaGo’ has used a Dark Bomb.

[System] Enemies within the bomb’s range have their vision reduced by 90%.

[System] Attack speed and movement speed of affected enemies are reduced by 80%.

[System] Debuff lasts for 30 seconds.

The messages stacked in the chat. The enemies, now lost and bewildered, could only hurl curses in chat. Supporter characters were definitely good for PvP, but Dark Assassins weren’t half bad either. And with a 30-level gap between them, thirty seconds was more than enough time to kill them all.

Dohee exited stealth and gleefully unsheathed his sword.

[General] AssaGo: Just die, you ***holes.

    The bloodbath had begun.

    💎

To summarize: Yante’s coastal forest field became a complete disaster.

Low-level players doing quests scattered to the edges of the map as the sudden fighting broke out. PvP rarely happened in these newbie zones. After repeatedly getting killed by Dohee, the enemy players finally called for reinforcements from the Xeno guild.

Among them were some familiar names, ones Dohee had clashed with countless times in PvP islands and mainland zones.

Then, when Dohee called in the Human guild members waiting in the next zone over, the coastal forest field was flipped upside down. And who won?

No contest. After throwing one more Dark Bomb and teaming up with high-ranking PvP players like Tando and SoftRiceCake, the tide turned sharply in Human guild’s favor. Xeno had more numbers, but fights weren’t about numbers.

Those who revived on the spot using scrolls were caught in endless combos. Those who respawned in town and ran back were intercepted by Yeohoo and Yeojin at the portal and taken down one by one.

[General] y2kYeomisae: WTF this is so unfair. You’re all ganging up, what is this even–

[General] YeojinHae: LOL???? Guys, this maniac’s asking for manners?

[General] Oreckthat: The real villains here are the Xeno members! You bullied our level 45 baby newbie! ԅ|.͡° ൧͑ ͡°.|ᕤ

[General] BlingBling: Who TF throws Dark Bombs, are you insane

[General] Tando: Funny how the ones getting wrecked are always the loudest

[General] BlingBling: Just you wait, next time for real

[General] SoftRiceCake: Awww~ next time~~ yeah right, LOL

[General] SoftRiceCake: The ones who say “next time” are never scary, huh?

[General] SoftRiceCake: Xeno guild got absolutely rolled by Human, huh?

[General] SoftRiceCake: Mad? Stay mad~ what you gonna do, SecretJuJuLimitedEditionTV~ LOL

[General] YeohooHae: Told ya not to join Xeno, LOL

[General] Tando: If you joined Xeno, you should’ve been ready to die ^^

    They’re my guildmates, but they’re still insufferable…

Watching the overflowing chat scroll, Dohee shook his head. Knockoff’s character, who had quietly come up and sat beside him, turned to face him.

    [Party] GOingSupporter187: Is… is this really okay…? 8ㅅ8

[Party] AssaGo: ??? What wouldn’t be?

[Party] GOingSupporter187: The fight got so big… ㅠㅡㅠ

[Party] AssaGo: LOL, they’re the ones who escalated it

[Party] AssaGo: They walked right into the lion’s den. Why should we show mercy?

[Party] AssaGo: It’s good they died. I looted a lot of gold, I’ll give it back.

The gold dropped by those guys alone totaled over 50,000, more than double the 20,000 gold Knockoff had lost. The equipment they dropped could be disassembled and used to complete Knockoff’s level 50 gear set.

As the Xeno guild players scrambled to flee, the Human guild members kept spamming cheeky messages in chat. Dohee casually handed Knockoff the 50,000 gold. Getting him to accept it, even as he resisted, was nothing new, sweet-talking and sneaking it into his inventory had become second nature.

Once the field was mostly cleared, the guild members, yawning and half-asleep, began logging off one by one. Knockoff busied himself thanking each person individually. He really was too nice.

The Xeno guys were the ones in the wrong for targeting a newbie. Honestly, the Human guild had only acted in self-defense. Besides, judging by how pumped everyone had been while dishing out punishment, all the nagging Dohee had done about doing more PvP hadn’t gone to waste after all.

After most of the guild had logged off and the Xeno players had disappeared, peace returned to the coastal forest field, with glimmering sunlight and tranquil music as if nothing had happened. Telling Knockoff to finish the last quest in the Yante continent, Dohee sent him off to the NPC. By the time he’d watched him complete it, it was already nearing 6 a.m.

[Party] GOingSupporter187: Thank you so much for today… ㅠㅡㅠ

[Party] AssaGo: Pfft, it’s nothing lol. It all happened because of me anyway

    [Party] GOingSupporter187: Still… 8ㅅ8

[Party] GOingSupporter187: Do you think I’ll be able to get good at PvP too… someday?

[Party] AssaGo: Yeah. Supports are PvP kings

[Party] GOingSupporter187: I watched a few of GoSupp’s videos, and they were seriously amazing… ㅠㅡㅠ

[Party] GOingSupporter187: They’d use just a few skills and wipe everyone

[Party] GOingSupporter187: It was that… arena? The video was of that, and it looked so cool!!!

[Party] GOingSupporter187: Have you seen it!?

[Party] AssaGo: LOL what, you’ve even seen that?

    [Party] GOingSupporter187: Yes!!!

[Party] GOingSupporter187: He didn’t even say a word, just went around crushing everyone

[Party] GOingSupporter187: Nobody could even use a single skill properly before they died…!!

[Party] GOingSupporter187: I want to be like that too someday… 8ㅅ8

There it is. Dohee had been wondering when the GoSupp worship would return.

He just smiled at the monitor. Honestly, praise for GoSupp might as well be praise for himself, it didn’t bother him at all. Dohee slowly started typing.

[Party] AssaGo: Once you hit max level as a support

[Party] AssaGo: I’ll ask that friend what skills to use in PvP and tell you

[Party] AssaGo: So for now, just focus on leveling up

[Party] AssaGo: You need to be at least level 70 to properly enter the arena

[Party] AssaGo: Oh, and from now on, don’t go around alone

[Party] AssaGo: They might try to follow you around and mess with you again

[Party] AssaGo: Message me on GameTalk before you log in. I’ll try to match your time as best I can

    [Party] GOingSupporter187: Ah… I’m sorry… for being a bother… ㅠㅡㅠ

[Party] AssaGo: Why are you always apologizing LOL

Knockoff’s character started fidgeting, moving around as if unsure what to do. He did a cheer emote, then began circling AssaGo’s character nervously.

    [Party] AssaGo: What now LOL

    [Party] GOingSupporter187: Just… oh, right

[Party] GOingSupporter187: Did you sleep well last night?? ㅎㅅㅎ

[Party] GOingSupporter187: Are you feeling okay…?

Watching him fuss like that, Dohee let out a helpless laugh. There he goes being cute again.
