(UNDER EDITING)UPDATES ON WEDNESDAY AND SATURDAY!
Hello! Thank you for reading and supporting ASFSODS. Your comments and support are my extra motivation to update and translate a story. I appreciate it if you can comment:)

Tomorrow was the guests’ first official date. Unlike Jiang Siheng and Qin Xiyu, who both seemed calm and composed, Tian Yang—usually the most laid-back one in the group—was clearly stressing out.

So nervous, in fact, that after dinner, he helped clean the table… then went outside to crouch in the little garden.

    Main Livestream Chat:

    [What’s Tian Yang doing?]

[Help, why does his crouched back look so funny]

[Can we switch to another angle? I want to see what Sheep’s face looks like right now]

[Being alone usually looks a little sad and lonely, but Tian Yang just looks…]

[He’s probably just full and bored]

The production team is always monitoring the stream comments, once they saw the request to change the angle, they switched the camera feed.

But that expected lonely atmosphere? Not a trace of it. Tian Yang was resting his chin in his hands, completely zoned out while staring at a flower.

Wen Chi, who came out to check on the garden too, saw him and walked over curiously. He crouched down next to him. “Tian Yang, what are you doing?”

Tian Yang turned around with a “the world is ending” expression. Seeing it was Wen Chi, he sighed, ready to vent his feelings to someone his own age. Then he suddenly remembered: the date stuff was supposed to be kept secret.

Wen Chi noticed Tian Yang was about to talk, but then something clearly crossed his mind, and he shut his mouth again—face back to “end of the world” mode.

    “……”

Wen Chi figured it was probably better not to pry.

The two of them crouched side by side in the garden, not realizing the comments were already in chaos laughing. They weren’t doing anything special, but somehow it was just really funny.

Tian Yang sighed, gave up on worrying, and turned to make conversation. “Hey, did you know you were trending on Weibo this afternoon?”

    “I was trending on Weibo?”

“Yeah, I saw it when I was scrolling.”

“I actually made it on the trending list? Damn, look at me.” Wen Chi nodded seriously. “Maybe I should treat myself to some fried chicken later.”

The topic instantly turned to fried chicken, and Tian Yang stared at him like he was mad. “Bro, we literally just ate. You’re already planning a late-night snack?”

Wen Chi held up one finger very seriously, “If you plan ahead, you won’t stress about it later.”

Tian Yang’s mouth twitched. “If you want a snack, just say it. You don’t need to use being trending on Weibo as an excuse.”

“Hey hey hey, don’t call me out like that.”

Chatting back and forth like this, Wen Chi’s random topics constantly shifted and Tian Yang realized his anxiety had mostly faded. At least more than half of it.

Wen Chi didn’t notice how the look in Tian Yang’s eyes had changed. He stood up abruptly and hissed through his teeth. His legs had gone numb.

    So numb!!!

The fans watching them kick their legs in pain had tears from laughter—these two were such dorks.

Since there weren’t any scheduled activities that night, Wen Chi headed back inside. On the first floor, he saw Zhou Yunbai and Qin Xiyu chatting—it looked like the two had gotten a lot closer.

He greeted them and went upstairs. His fried chicken talk wasn’t a joke—he really wanted some. It was still early, so he’d wait a bit.

After coming back that afternoon, he put the gift in his bedside drawer. The bag didn’t got wet, but it was a little wrinkled from being wrapped in his coat. It didn’t look very presentable.

He took out the Pikachu sculpture and looked at it from every angle. He was clearly very proud of it.

There were two knocks on the door. Wen Chi quickly shoved the Pikachu under his blanket. “Come in.”

He was surprised to see Jiang Siheng. “Teacher Jiang?”

Jiang Siheng walked over, glanced at the oddly puffed-up bed, and said, “You want fried chicken?”

Wen Chi was stunned. “How did you know?”

“Tian Yang told me. Wanna go out to eat?” Jiang Siheng asked.

“I was just gonna order delivery.” Wen Chi glanced at his face cautiously, worried he’d be displeased.

However, Jiang Siheng just calmly nodded. “Alright,” Then reached over and patted him on the head.

Wen Chi who’s suddenly and inexplicably head-patted: OVO

“Wen Chi, Jiang Ge! Want to come down and watch a movie?” Tian Yang’s voice came from outside the door.

    A movie?

Wen Chi turned toward the door and shouted back, “Should we order fried chicken to eat while watching?”

Tian Yang, who’s already tempted earlier in the garden, replied, “I’ll ask the others!”

    “Okay—”

Wen Chi turned back to see Jiang Siheng looking at him with clear amusement. His face flushed, as he mumbled, “Why are you laughing at me, Teacher Jiang?”

Jiang Siheng couldn’t hold back anymore. He reached out with both hands and tousled Wen Chi’s fluffy hair. “You’re just too cute.”

“……” Wen Chi was left dizzy and dazed.

Everyone was on board with Wen Chi’s movie + fried chicken idea. He hugged the fruit-shaped pillow he brought and went downstairs. Except for him and Jiang Siheng, everyone else was already in the living room. The TV was on.

“Which fried chicken place are we ordering from?” Zhou Yunbai asked. “It’s been forever since I’ve had fried chicken.”

    “How long?” Tian Yang asked.

“Super long? I don’t even remember—at least a few months,” she said.

Wen Chi listened in, glanced left and right, and cautiously offered, “Want to order from the place I usually get it from?”

Tong Xian’en heard that and couldn’t help asking, “You eat fried chicken that often? Doesn’t your manager get mad?”

Wen Chi froze. Crap, did he just out himself?

He leaned in close to Tong Xian’en’s ear. The other was clearly startled by the sudden proximity and leaned back slightly. “What are you doing?” he asked warily.

Wen Chi muttered, “Keep your voice down. I always order in secret behind my manager’s back.”

    “……”

“You think your manager isn’t watching the stream right now?”

    “…Probably not…?”

    Main Livestream Chat:

    [These two cuties, aaaaaahhh]

[Xiao Bai and President Qin are whispering!]

[Qin Corp employees, your boss has a wife now]

[Not gonna lie, En’en and Chi Chi are kinda cute together]

    [Right? I’m seeing it too!]

Tong Xian’en looked at Wen Chi’s fair, delicate face and, for some reason, felt a little flustered. He looked away. “Whatever. Do what you want.”

Jiang Siheng smiled and hooked a finger around Wen Chi’s collar, gently pulling him back.

Wen Chi let out an “ah!” and landed right against him. When he looked up, all he could see was the man’s sharp jawline.

Jiang Siheng met his gaze. “Weren’t you gonna order fried chicken?”

“Oh, right.” Wen Chi sat up, instinctively hugging his pillow as he quietly pulled out his phone.

They were sitting close—leg against leg, shoulder against shoulder.

Watching Wen Chi’s sneaky little movements, Jiang Siheng couldn’t help but find every expression and motion ridiculously cute.

Heartbeat House was kind of far from the city, and Tian Yang was worried no delivery drivers would take the order. Wen Chi reassured him, “This place delivers themselves. As long as you pay enough, they’ll drive over from the next city.”

    Tian Yang: “Seriously?”

Wen Chi: “Nah, I’m just being dramatic.”

    Tian Yang: “……”

Wen Chi picked his favorite items and sauces first, then passed the phone around for everyone to choose.

When it came back, he checked the order, confirmed it, and hit “Place Order.”

Right after paying, a WeChat notification popped up:

【Lin Ge: [smile] I JUST started a match and now you’re sending me orders??】

Wen Chi chuckled and typed back:

【Wen Chi: Quit the game. Make my chicken!】

【Lin Ge: Aren’t you filming a show right now? Why are you ordering delivery?】

    【Wen Chi: Don’t worry about it, handsome.】

They picked a movie but decided to wait until the food arrived. Wen Chi kept glancing at his phone’s tracking order status.

Jiang Siheng saw him smiling at his phone and clicked his tongue. He suddenly realized—they still hadn’t added each other on WeChat.

Since the show was still filming, it wasn’t the best timing. However, Jiang Siheng already had a plan to go to Wen Chi’s room later and get that QR code.

He thought the wait would be long, but half an hour later, Wen Chi got a call from the restaurant owner.

He let out a little cheer and ran off to get the food.

Zhou Yunbai laughed, “Chi-chi’s just like a kid.”

The movie was queued, the chicken had arrived—time for an ideal fried chicken movie night. The place Wen Chi ordered from made chicken with crispy skin, juicy meat, and sauce that was basically divine.

No one could resist fried food.

They chose a foreign sci-fi movie with solid effects and plot. Wen Chi wore disposable gloves, gnawing through wing after wing, eyes glued to the screen.

Jiang Siheng wasn’t really into the food or movie—but Wen Chi? He couldn’t stop watching.

His puffed-out cheek while chewing made him look like a chipmunk. When something funny happened in the movie, he laughed so hard his eyes curved into little crescent moons.

Before meeting Wen Chi, Jiang Siheng couldn’t have imagined himself paying this much attention to another guy. But Wen Chi’s looks and personality hit all his soft spots perfectly.

At one point, Wen Chi unconsciously leaned against him while laughing, not realizing half his body was pressed to the man’s. Sometimes, his hair would brush against Jiang Siheng’s cheek, sending little tingles through him.

    Main Livestream Chat:

[Jiang Siheng definitely likes Wen Chi. 100% confirmed.]

[Bro, look at how his eyes haven’t left Wen Chi’s face. If that’s not love…]

[This man is low-key a flirt (in a good way)]

[Yeah like… just letting Wen Chi lean all over him? Enjoying that cuddle time, huh?]

[Qin Ge handed Xiao Bai tissues and she looked so shy, omg]

[Honestly, the other two couples have better CP chemistry than Tian Yang and Tong Xian’en]

    [Agreed]

[Who else is starving watching this dating show?]

Near the end of the movie, all the food boxes were empty. Wen Chi let out a tiny burp and turned his head—only to be caught off guard by the man’s ridiculously handsome side profile.

The lights were off, and the dim glow from the screen cast shadows over his face. That profile was sharp and sculpted, and the usually gentle eyes now held a faint chill—whether from the lighting or something else.

Jiang Siheng turned back from the screen and met Wen Chi’s gaze. That brief coldness vanished instantly, replaced again by his familiar warmth, as if it had been a trick of the light.

Wen Chi’s round and clear eyes stared in awe. Even Jiang Siheng, rarely rattled by anything, felt a little thrown by how direct the gaze was.

He cleared his throat, looked away—then looked back again. “What are you staring at?”

Wen Chi replied with quiet admiration, “Teacher Jiang, you’re really handsome.”
