(UNDER EDITING)UPDATES ON WEDNESDAY AND SATURDAY!
Hello! Thank you for reading and supporting ASFSODS. Your comments and support are my extra motivation to update and translate a story. I appreciate it if you can comment:)

The second week of Heartbeat’s Confession 2 was about to begin. Maybe that’s why, for once, almost everyone had gotten up early and gathered in the living room.

Zhou Yunbai sighed, “Why does it feel like time’s going by so fast?”

Tian Yang felt the same way. It really did seem like just yesterday when they had first arrived at the house. Back then it was as clean and pristine as a showroom. Now, it was filled with all sorts of lived-in mess.

With the end of the livestream portion for this week, the cast would get a six-day break without filming, a time to take care of their other work commitments.

“Xiao Chi, when are you heading back to Linquan? Let’s go together,” Tian Yang asked.

Wen Chi was still half-asleep, being hand-fed breadsticks by Jiang Siheng. He wasn’t fully awake. Anything Jiang Siheng brought to his mouth, he just automatically bit down on.

When Tian Yang asked him, he blinked his eyes open and turned his head. “What?”

“I’m going to Linquan to visit someone. Let’s fly back together.”

Wen Chi said, “Sure, anytime works for me. Tomorrow or the day after.”

His cheek was gently pinched. Jiang Siheng asked in a low voice, “What are you planning to do once you’re back in Linquan?”

“Dunno. Maybe just wait for the next livestream,” Wen Chi said.

Jiang Siheng let out a soft “Mn.”

“What about you, Teacher Jiang?” Wen Chi asked, only now realizing he didn’t even know where Jiang Siheng was from.

    “Work,” Jiang Siheng replied.

    Wen Chi nodded dazedly. “Oh.”

Jiang Siheng watched his sleepy face and asked, “Want to come?”

    “Come where?”

    “Come work with me.”

Wen Chi inched away with a blank expression. “Thanks, but no thanks.”

[Ahhh the first week’s already ending… hope the next livestream comes fast]

[Honestly, the casting this season is so good, everyone vibes so well together]

[You say that, but did you forget how Tong Xian’en and Wen Chi were clashing at the start?]

[Please! Wen Chi never clashed with anyone—it was Tong Xian’en being dramatic]

[Exactly. He was spiraling on his own]

[They’re clearly on good terms now. Why are fans still bickering?]

[Wait hold up, Wen Chi said “next livestream”—does that mean…?]

[Yeah, it means no livestream for the next six days. Just the main episode airing]

Wen Chi had thought the crew would give them the letters they wrote last night, but by the afternoon, there was still no sign of them. He waited all the way till evening, still nothing.

He leaned over to Zhou Yunbai. “Xiao Bai Jie, when do we get to see those letters we wrote?”

“They’ll give them to us during the next livestream,” she replied.

Wen Chi was shocked. “Wait, I thought we were getting them today!”

“Who told you that?” Zhou Yunbai laughed. “Didn’t you watch the first season?”

“I did! But… I just can’t remember,” Wen Chi muttered, frustrated.

Zhou Yunbai couldn’t help but find his face amusing. She wanted to ruffle his hair but thought better of it.

[Wuwuwu, no Xiao Chi for a whole week]

[It’s okay, we can rewatch the episodes]

[They’ll definitely include sweet scenes in the edit]

    [Definitely!]

[Hahaha his “betrayed by society” expression is adorable]

    [Who lied to him??]

[Wait… I think that was me]

Even though they’d be returning to film more soon, the cast still decided to pack their luggage and bring everything home.

Tong Xian’en and Zhou Yunbai had to travel for work, so they went to bed early. Qin Xiyu left after dinner.

Tian Yang and Wen Chi sat on the carpet, heads together while looking up flight tickets to Linquan.

Wen Chi said, “Can we not book one too early? I won’t wake up in time.”

“Same. Let’s go for the afternoon flight. I’m not in a rush,” Tian Yang said.

    “Deal.”

Jiang Siheng had been quietly listening to their conversation. When Tian Yang said “okay” and Wen Chi stretched out in satisfaction, he knew they had booked the tickets.

Tian Yang turned around and saw Jiang Siheng looking at them with a faintly indifferent gaze. At first, he didn’t get it. But when he noticed how close he and Wen Chi were sitting, it suddenly clicked and he gave a cheeky laugh.

Wen Chi looked confused. “What are you laughing at?”

Tian Yang patted him on the shoulder. “I’m heading off to do my livestream.”

Wen Chi still didn’t get it, but said “okay” anyway.

[Bye-bye, see you all next week!]

    [Byeeeeeee]

[Shee just went live, heading over there!]

[Good thing Xiao Chi and Jiang Ge haven’t left yet]

[Is Jiang Ge discussing a new movie with Director Xu?]

    [New project coming??]

[Wait, did Xiao Chi get a brand deal?]

[Where are you hearing all this from omg]

Jiang Siheng noticed Wen Chi still playing on his phone and walked over to sit where Tian Yang had been.

Wen Chi didn’t even look up. “Teacher Jiang.”

“Mn.” Jiang Siheng leaned back on the sofa, lounging casually with one arm resting along the back. His fingers absentmindedly played with Wen Chi’s soft hair.

[Jiang Ge, I didn’t expect that]

[Wow, Movie Emperor Jiang’s possessiveness is showing lol]

[I used to worry Wen Chi would ride Jiang Ge’s fame. Now I just hope Jiang Ge won’t bully him]

[“Riding his fame”? You kidding me???]

[Help! This is way too hot!]

“Your flight’s at what time tomorrow?” Jiang Siheng asked, still playing with Wen Chi’s hair.

“Two in the afternoon,” Wen Chi said, while typing a message to Tian Yang.

“What about you? When are you leaving?”

“Early morning,” Jiang Siheng said. He actually would’ve preferred to leave later so he could see Wen Chi off, but his manager had already sent over the ticket.

    “Then shouldn’t you go rest?”

Wen Chi, eyes still fixed on his phone, reached out blindly to nudge Jiang Siheng. Except he didn’t nudge his arm. He ended up patting the man’s abs.

    Pause.

Wen Chi turned his head and saw that his hand was resting right over Jiang Siheng’s firm, warm abdomen.

Instead of pulling away, he put down his phone and leaned in for a better look. His expression was dead serious.

“Damn. Teacher Jiang, you have abs?”

    Jiang Siheng: “…”

Wen Chi retracted his hand, then peeked again, still clearly itching to poke him a second time.

At first, Jiang Siheng had thought maybe Wen Chi did have a little bit of a crush on him. But at this moment, he finally realized—Nope. Not even a little.

Wen Chi felt his own stomach. Soft and flat, but definitely lacking in firmness.

Eh, not like he expected a six-pack anyway. People shouldn’t hold themselves to impossible standards.

He kept staring. Jiang Siheng noticed.

Jiang Siheng reached out and lightly covered Wen Chi’s eyes. “What are you looking at?”

“Nothing.” Wen Chi shook his head. His lashes brushed softly against Jiang Siheng’s palm.

Jiang Siheng moved his hand away. Their eyes met—deep brown against dark pupils.

“…What’s with that look? You act like I just harassed you.”

    Jiang Siheng chuckled.

Wen Chi slapped his thigh. “Jiang Siheng! You’re so annoying!”

Oh, full name now. He clearly pushed too far.

“Sorry,” Jiang Siheng said, with very little sincerity.

    [Shee, you legend]

[That was too sweet I’m losing it]

[Best decision I made this month was shipping HengWen]

[HengWen is real, I’ve said it a hundred times]

[Wait, but they’re not gonna see each other for a whole week, right?]

[Long-distance for a bit… just means the reunion will be even sweeter]

Wen Chi suddenly let out a long sigh. Jiang Siheng looked at him like he was some sleepy kid.

“Go rest, Teacher Jiang. Don’t you have to leave early tomorrow?”

    Was he… kicking him out?

Jiang Siheng stared at him for a few seconds. Wen Chi tried to hold back his expression, but his lips were already twitching.

“Alright.” Jiang Siheng stood up. “Get some rest. And don’t stay up gaming.”

Wen Chi asked, “How did you know I stay up gaming?!”

Jiang Siheng didn’t answer. He simply walked away.

Wen Chi stared at his back. Still confused. He went back to his room, still wondering how Jiang Siheng knew. He picked up his phone, and saw a red dot on his Moments tab.

    Wen Chi: “…” Case closed.
