(UNDER EDITING)UPDATES ON WEDNESDAY AND SATURDAY!
Hello! Thank you for reading and supporting ASFSODS. Your comments and support are my extra motivation to update and translate a story. I appreciate it if you can comment:)

The episode 3 of Heart’s Confession 2 takes place on a small island called Yangyun Island. Yangyun Island didn’t always have that name—in fact, it used to be a deserted island. It was later bought by a wealthy businessman and transformed into a leisure and entertainment destination for tourists.

Because the cast encountered an unexpected event in the last episode, this time the production team decided to make relaxation and freedom the main theme. The cast members would gather at the dock and take a boat together to Yangyun Island. Since everyone’s flights landed at different times, the first to arrive could wait at a café near the dock.

Wen Chi got on the production team’s car straight after landing. Fortunately, the dock wasn’t far from the airport. It was less than an hour’s drive.

    Wen Chi’s livestream chat:

    [Ahhhhh baby baby baby!]

[Xiao Chi, I missed you soooo much #crying#]

[Chi Ge! I’m your new fan!!]

[? Chi Ge? What kind of nickname is that? Isn’t he so cute he should be called Xiao Chi baby or Chichi instead?]

[Don’t you all think Wen Chi rushing toward the pregnant woman and picking her up in one swoop was super cool? I’m dying I’m dying in love]

    [He really was cool]

[But now looking at Wen Chi standing there with his hands obediently tucked in his pockets… it’s hard to call him “Chi Ge”…]

[Is this what they call “cute and manly at the same time”?]

Wen Chi had gotten up very early that day, so he couldn’t help falling asleep in the car. Originally, the production team had planned a short in-car interview, but when the staff turned around and saw Wen Chi sleeping with his head tilted against the seat, they hesitated and chose not to wake him.

With just over ten minutes left until they reached the dock, the director urged the staff to wake him up. They reluctantly did so, and Wen Chi blinked open his eyes in a daze, looking sleepily at the staff member.

That look—honestly, the staff thought it was haunting enough to make them wake up in the middle of the night and slap themselves.

Wen Chi rubbed his eyes and looked out the window. “Are we there?”

“Almost. But before that, we need to do a short interview, just a few simple questions,” the staff member said.

Wen Chi sat up slightly. “Okay.”

Even though the staff knew Wen Chi was easy to work with, they were still charmed every time by how earnestly and politely he treated every situation.

“The first question… In the last episode, back in Country Y, you rushed in without hesitation to help someone. At the time, what… were you thinking…?”

The staff member read from the cue card word for word. But by the end, even their expression and tone showed confusion, and they slowed down.

Wen Chi paused, then looked up to see the staff also wearing a helpless expression. He found it funny, but didn’t decline to answer. He thought for a moment and said, “I guess I wasn’t really thinking much at the time. If I had to say something… it’s probably that I realized for the first time just how strong I was.”

Wen Chi bent one arm in front of the camera, showing off the muscles hidden under his jacket.

    Wen Chi’s livestream chat:

    [Look! Look!]

[Huh? You call that tiny frame muscular?]

[You never know, maybe Xiao Chi’s the kind who looks skinny in clothes but ripped underneath]

[No way. I’ve been a fan of Wen Chi for over a year. I’ve seen him in sleeveless and short sleeves, his arms are thinner than my calves]

    [Hahahahahaha]

Even the staff couldn’t help laughing. They asked a few more questions after that, but they were all pretty casual, and Wen Chi answered them with ease.

Soon, they arrived at the dock. The staff led him to a café nearby. There weren’t many customers inside, and with the cameramen around, it wasn’t hard to spot the other cast members already waiting.

It felt like it had been ages since they had last met. When Wen Chi saw Zhou Yunbai and the others, he was momentarily dazed.

“Xiao Chi, over here!” Just like the first time they met, Zhou Yunbai wore a white puff-sleeve blouse and high-waisted flared jeans. Her silky long hair gave off a faint scent of essential oils.

Wen Chi quickly walked over. Three guests had arrived so far—himself, Zhou Yunbai, and Tong Xian’en.

“Xian’en and I just ordered drinks. Want to get something to eat or drink?” Zhou Yunbai looked at Wen Chi with a particularly gentle expression.

Wen Chi: “…Xiao Bai Jie, why are you looking at me like that?”

Zhou Yunbai giggled and covered her mouth. “Oh, it’s nothing. I just suddenly thought, how are you this handsome and cute at the same time?”

Caught off guard by the compliment, Wen Chi rubbed his nose as his ears slowly turned red.

“Even though I was at the plaza that day too, I didn’t see the moment you saved someone. I watched the full episode last night—seriously, Xiao Chi, how are you so handsome?” Zhou Yunbai sighed. “If you were my type, I honestly wouldn’t mind being in an older woman-young man romance with you.”

Zhou Yunbai sighed and then seemed to remember something, letting out a breath. “It’s a pity you like men.”

Wen Chi gave an awkward smile.

Tong Xian’en, who had been looking at his phone, looked up upon hearing Zhou Yunbai’s words. His gaze landed on Wen Chi’s face, and then he said ambiguously to Wen Chi, “You’re really quite brave. The entertainment industry should definitely give you an award for bravery.”

Clearly, Tong Xian’en had watched the previous episode too.

    Main Livestream Chat:

[Is Tong Xian’en complimenting or criticizing him?]

[Why does it feel like Tong Xian’en’s words are a little off?]

[Oh my god, I just saw on Weibo, does Teacher Jiang and President Qin need to take two days off in the third episode??]

[Hmm, I think he’s complimenting him. What he said makes some sense.]

[Fan here! Our Xian’en is indeed praising Teacher Wen Chi.]

[??? Why does it sound a bit sarcastic?]

Wen Chi waved his hand, speaking in a low voice, “I’m on my way, on my way.”

Tong Xian’en froze for a moment, then realized what Wen Chi meant by “on my way.”

Soon, Tian Yang, Xu Yuqing, and Zhou Ruoyao also arrived. Although not all the guests were there, it wasn’t a big deal.

The moment Zhou Ruoyao saw Wen Chi, he exclaimed and rushed over. He was a little shorter than Wen Chi. “Xiao Chi Ge, are you alright?”

Wen Chi, hearing the familiar accent, responded, “I’m fine.”

“Glad to hear that.” Zhou Ruoyao was still holding on to Wen Chi’s arm, unwilling to let go, and added, “I watched the episode last night, and I almost cried my eyes out.”

Wen Chi laughed awkwardly, “Was it that dramatic?”

Zhou Ruoyao became serious, “Dramatic? If I had been there, I definitely wouldn’t have let you suffer like that.”

Wen Chi looked at Zhou Ruoyao, who was about the same age as him, and saw that his expression was sincere and completely not joking. Wen Chi nodded. “Thanks.”

Only Wen Chi and Zhou Ruoyao knew that when Zhou Ruoyao said “that time,” he wasn’t just referring to the incident in Y Country but also something that had happened a while ago at the hotel.

When all the guests had arrived, the production team led them onto the boat.

Wen Chi grabbed a chair and sat on the deck, enjoying the sea breeze while pulling out his phone. He noticed that Jiang Sichen had sent him several WeChat messages.

    Ten minutes ago:

【A Heng [heart]: Why is he hugging you?】

【A Heng [heart]: What secret conversation are you two having?】

【A Heng [heart]: [Rabbit rolling around.gif]】

    Three minutes ago:

【A Heng [heart]: Have you arrived at Yangyun Island?】

Even though he had seen this contact name countless times, every time Wen Chi looked at it, his face still turned red. Luckily, the camera wasn’t focused on him, or fans would surely have a field day with his blushing.

Wen Chi looked at Jiang Sichen’s earlier messages and, after a brief moment of confusion, realized what was happening. He couldn’t help but laugh.

【Wen Chi: Xiao Yao was just holding my arm, we didn’t say anything secret.】

    【Wen Chi: A Heng, don’t be so jealous.】

【Wen Chi: [kiss] Just boarded the boat, still on the way.】

【Ah Heng [heart]: Okay, be safe [kiss]】

Wen Chi yawned, poking the screen with a finger: 【Teacher Jiang, where’s my photo? [peeking]】

Before he could send the message, the man sent a photo. Wen Chi didn’t even need to open it to know what it was.

    “Xiao Chi Ge!”

Someone suddenly popped up from behind. Wen Chi jumped and, feeling guilty like a thief, quickly hid his phone in his chest. When he saw it was Zhou Ruoyao, he sighed in relief. “You scared me.”

Zhou Ruoyao chuckled mischievously. “What are you secretly up to?”

“Nothing bad,” Wen Chi mumbled, turning off his phone and shoving it back into his pocket. “What’s up, did you need something?”

Zhou Ruoyao said, “There’s some fruit tea and snacks in the hall. Everyone’s there. Come join us.”

    Wen Chi stood up. “Okay.”

As they walked, Zhou Ruoyao kept glancing at Wen Chi curiously. After a few glances, he asked, “Xiao Chi Ge, are you waiting for someone’s call?”

Wen Chi, confused, hummed in response. “Why do you say that?”

Zhou Ruoyao said, “I saw you take out your phone and check the screen several times.”

    Wen Chi’s livestream chat:

    [I know, I know, I know!!!]

    [Help, girl, calm down!]

    [Ahhhhh I know too!!!]

[Xiao Chi is definitely waiting for Teacher Jiang’s call!!!]

[Today is another day of crying for Hengwen CP’s love!]

[Oh my, when did Xiao Chi’s livestream get so many people?]

[There must be a lot of new fans here.]

[Not just in the livestream, but a lot of new fans are joining the fan group too!]

Wen Chi, holding his phone in his pocket, nervously pulled it out and said, “It’s nothing, I just have the habit of checking my phone.”

After about ten minutes, they finally arrived on Yangyun Island. It wasn’t as quiet as Wen Chi had imagined, it was bustling with people. There were many guesthouses and restaurants, and besides them filming the show, there were also quite a few tourists.

The staff first took them to the guesthouse to drop off their luggage, and then called them to gather at the beach not far from the guesthouse.

“Didn’t they say this episode would just let us relax and kill time?” Tian Yang crossed his arms and gave the production team behind the camera a disapproving look.

The assistant director cleared his throat, glanced at Director Ma, then raised the microphone and said, “After you complete the task, the rest of the time is yours to spend as you like. Don’t forget, we still have the points game!”

    Tian Yang: “……”

Zhou Ruoyao asked, “So, what’s the task this time? With two people not here, it’s going to be hard to team up and complete it.”

    Zhou Yunbai nodded in agreement.

The assistant director said, “I know, so this time, Xiao Bai and Xiao Chi will team up.”

Wen Chi froze and instinctively turned to look at Zhou Yunbai. Zhou Yunbai, in turn, was also looking at him. Zhou Yunbai said, “I don’t mind, but if our team wins, will the points count for me or Xiao Chi?”

“It counts for both,” the assistant director replied.

Wen Chi shrugged, “I’m fine with whatever.”

“I’m not fine with it.” Zhou Ruoyao frowned,
“Xiao Chi Ge’s injury hasn’t healed yet. What if it gets bumped and hurts again?”

    The assistant director reassured them,
“You don’t need to worry about that. This task is very safe and relaxed, with no intense physical interaction.”

    “Really?”

    “Really.”

Seeing that Zhou Ruoyao still seemed unconvinced, Wen Chi pulled him back and turned to the production team. “I’m fine with it.”

The assistant director sighed in relief, looking at Wen Chi with gratitude.

The task really was quite simple. On this small island, the production team had hidden thirty island tokens. Each guest had five tokens to collect. To obtain them, the guests had to answer questions correctly or complete tasks. They also needed to help their partner get their tokens and protect their own tokens from other teams. The first team to collect all their tokens would win.

Yangyun Island wasn’t very big, but it wasn’t small either. Walking from the east to the west would take at least twenty minutes.

After reading the game rules, the assistant director added, “In addition to this, there are two mysterious people hidden on the island. If you find them, you’ll get their help. The clues to finding the mysterious people have already been sent to your phones.”

Of course, the phones the assistant director referred to were not the guests’ personal phones. Wen Chi pulled out the production team’s phone and saw that a picture had been sent to him via a private message.

It was a picture of a white background with a bite taken out of a peach.

“Xiao Chi, what’s your mysterious person clue?”
Zhou Yunbai, now Wen Chi’s partner, walked over and asked. Wen Chi didn’t hide it and generously handed the phone to Zhou Yunbai.

Zhou Yunbai glanced at it and said, “Huh, your clue is different from mine.”

Zhou Yunbai showed Wen Chi her clue. It was also a picture, but the content was text: [Appeared on the Sea Moon].

Wen Chi realized, “It’s possible the mysterious person’s clues are split into several parts. Each of us is only getting part of the full information.”

    “That’s possible.” Zhou Yunbai nodded.
“But it could also be that they’re separate. Didn’t the director say there are two mysterious people? Maybe your mysterious person is A and mine is B?”

Wen Chi thought for a moment. “That’s not impossible.”

Zhou Yunbai looked down at her outfit, then looked up at Wen Chi and asked, “Xiao Chi, could you give me five minutes? I want to go back and change into something more convenient for moving around.”

    “Sure, I’ll go with you.”

    “Thanks~”

Zhou Yunbai went to change in her room, and Wen Chi stayed in the living room, looking at the mysterious person’s clue picture but still couldn’t figure it out. There were two possibilities, both of which he and Zhou Yunbai had considered, but he still couldn’t make sense of it.

    Wen Chi’s Livestream Chat:

    [Wow, this seems so fun!]

[Last time when Xiao Chi and Teacher Jiang were on the same team, they just cruised through. This time with Xiao Bai, both of them are going to have to work hard.]

[I vote for Xiao Bai’s theory. It could really be separate clues.]

[Not necessarily, it could also be a single set, just split into parts.]

[So, what’s the connection between the bitten peach and “appeared on the Sea Moon” ahhhhhh #losingit#]

[Eh? What’s up with Xiao Chi’s expression? Why is he looking at his phone with that sweet smile?]

[Oh boy, that smile is so… suggestive…]

Wen Chi, unable to figure out the clues, decided to stop thinking about it for now. He took out his own phone, unlocked it, and finally clicked open the exclusive photo from Jiang Siheng that he had been eagerly waiting to see for over two hours.
