(UNDER EDITING)UPDATES ON WEDNESDAY AND SATURDAY!
Hello! Thank you for reading and supporting ASFSODS. Your comments and support are my extra motivation to update and translate a story. I appreciate it if you can comment:)

As the clock approached midnight, Heart’s Confession 2 officially wrapped up its second season in Haining City. All the guests returned to their previous lives, knowing that the friends they met on the show might not be seen again for a long time.

“Well, I’m off. Bye everyone!” Due to an urgent schedule, Zhou Yunbai had to bid farewell to the show late at night, and the others saw her off at the manor’s gate.

“Goodbye, Xiao Bai Jie, safe travels.”

After sending Zhou Yunbai off, the group looked at each other. It felt a bit strange with one person missing.

Tong Xian’en, seeing that no one was speaking, said, “Let’s go, it’s late, we should all get some rest.”

The group turned and walked back, the manor gate gradually receding behind them.

Zhou Ruoyao said, “I have to catch a flight tomorrow for another show recording. It’s so annoying. Can’t I just skip it?”

“Actually, I don’t really get it. You’re from a wealthy family, so why join the entertainment industry?” Tian Yang asked.

“…” Zhou Ruoyao glanced at Wen Chi, almost as if feeling guilty. His voice unconsciously raised a little, “Don’t mind, handsome!”

    Tian Yang: “…”

Jiang Siheng, looking down at the boy who had suddenly become downcast, didn’t ask what was wrong. He just raised his hand and ruffled Wen Chi’s hair.

Back in their room, Jiang Siheng, taking advantage of the fact that all the camera equipment had been removed, followed Wen Chi back to the room openly.

The others behind them, including Zhou Ruoyao, noticed but purposefully looked away, pretending they hadn’t seen anything.

Still smelling of charcoal and smoke, Wen Chi finished his shower and collapsed onto the bed, staring at his phone. He used a secondary account to surf Weibo, entering the Heart’s Confession 2 topic page. He noticed a lot of fans asking when the main episodes would air.

【@Heart’sConfessionOfficialV, when will the main episodes be released?】

【It’s been two days already! I haven’t seen my dear Chi Bao in two days!】

    【Guys, is Heart’s Confession 2 already over?】

    【Wuwuwu, I don’t want it to end!】

【After the show ends, I wonder if we’ll ever see them together again.】

【I don’t know if others feel the same, but it feels like I’m watching not a dating show, but a variety show of a group of good friends getting together. But it’s really fun to watch!】

【Wait, the show is over? Does this mean my Hengwen CP is… BE?】

    It’s not BE.

Wen Chi turned over, lifted the blanket, and curled back into the bed. He listened to the sound of water running in the bathroom, and under the post asking if the HengWen CP was BE, he replied: 【They won’t BE.】

The topic was trending, and his reply had barely been posted for a minute before several responses appeared in the notifications.

    【Sis, are you so sure?】

【Sigh, I hope they don’t BE. After all, HengWen CP has been through thick and thin together on this show. There must be some feelings involved.】

    【Don’t overthink it. They’re just good friends.】

【Though it’s obvious that Movie Emperor Jiang really likes Wen Chi, the gap between them is too big.】

【Don’t listen to them, sis! As long as we believe it’s not BE, it’s not BE!】

【As long as they can still appear together, I’ll continue to support HengWen CP no matter what!】

Since Wen Chi’s profile picture was of a little frog soaking in a bath and his ID was cute, “Little Frog in the Pond,” the fans all assumed he was a “girl.”

Wen Chi stared at the word “sister” for a while, then sighed helplessly. It wasn’t the first time he had been called that.

When he heard the bathroom door open, Wen Chi turned his head. “Teacher Jiang, what time is your flight?”

“Early tomorrow morning,” Jiang Siheng answered vaguely. “Why?”

“Do you want me to take you to the airport? I’m not in a hurry to go back to Linquan City,” Wen Chi said.

“No need, you should sleep more. Your flight is in the afternoon, right?”

    “Yeah.”

“Running around is tiring. Don’t send me. I’ll message you when I get there,” Jiang Siheng said, noticing Wen Chi pouting at him.

He smiled, then reached out and gently squished Wen Chi’s face. “Why the pout?”

Wen Chi lowered his gaze. “Fine, I won’t send you. I’ll sleep in.”

Jiang Siheng stared at him for two seconds with a thoughtful look before saying, “Don’t secretly get up to send me off.”

Wen Chi froze, then glared at Jiang Siheng in frustration. “We won’t see each other for months! What’s wrong with me getting up early to send you to the airport?”

“You won’t go months without seeing me. As long as I have free time, I’ll come to see you,” Jiang Siheng replied.

“What if I also have work in another city?”

“Wherever you are, I’ll go find you.”

Tsk, men sure know how to sweet-talk. However, Wen Chi couldn’t deny that he was moved. He snorted proudly, “Fine, I’ll reluctantly agree.”

Jiang Siheng found his expression amusing and helplessly patted Wen Chi’s head. “Alright, go to sleep.”

The next morning, just before 6 a.m., after finishing his morning routine, Jiang Siheng left the bathroom. He moved quietly, trying not to wake the boy still sleeping in the bed.

The reason he didn’t tell Wen Chi the flight details last night was that the flight was too early, and he didn’t want Wen Chi to worry about it and lose sleep. Originally, Jiang Siheng had planned to leave the previous night, but when he saw Wen Chi’s slightly downcast expression upon learning that Zhou Yunbai was leaving early, he had the flight changed.

Jiang Siheng pulled out the charger, and the plug’s sound was unusually loud in the quiet room. He instinctively glanced at Wen Chi, who frowned slightly, as though disturbed by the noise.

The door was gently knocked on twice and then quieted down. Jiang Siheng cautiously pulled the luggage towards the bed, glancing at the sleeping boy every few steps. The sound of the wheels scraping across the floor was sharp.

Wen Chi’s eyelids fluttered. It seemed like he was about to wake up.

Jiang Siheng froze, afraid to move further, and placed the luggage down. He gently patted Wen Chi’s back. “It’s still early, go back to sleep.”

Wen Chi seemed to hear Jiang Siheng’s voice, opened his eyes slightly, but then immediately closed them again, drifting back to sleep with a soft hum.

Seeing that Wen Chi had fallen asleep again, Jiang Siheng let out a small sigh of relief. This time, he didn’t drag the luggage along; instead, he picked it up and quietly left the room.

“Good morning, Jiang Ge.” Xiao Pang, who had been waiting outside for a while, took the luggage from Jiang Siheng.

    “Let’s go,” Jiang Siheng said.

Xiao Pang, carrying the luggage, walked behind Jiang Siheng. “Is Wen Chi still sleeping?”

    “Mm,” Jiang Siheng replied.

The driver was already waiting by the manor gate. Xiao Pang noticed a black Maybach parked behind their business car. It seemed the people inside saw them, as the rear window rolled down, and Yan Sheng’s head popped out from inside.

Xiao Pang, confused, murmured, “Jiang Ge, it’s Mr. Yan Sheng.”

Jiang Siheng raised his head and glanced over lazily, his gaze cold.

Yan Sheng smiled at Jiang Siheng. “Leaving?”

    “Mm, work,” Jiang Siheng replied.

Yan Sheng helplessly said, “Clearly, you have a company at home, but you insist on entering the entertainment industry. Aren’t you tired of running around every day?”

Jiang Siheng glanced at him sideways. “You’ve been waiting here early in the morning just to tell me this?”

“Am I crazy?” Yan Sheng rolled his eyes. “I’m flying to H country today. There’s something to handle at the subsidiary. By the way, when will you and A-Yu be free? I always want to meet up with you guys, but we can never get together. Either you two are filming a show, or A-Ning is out playing, and that guy who got married young—don’t even get me started on him. Every time I ask, he says he can’t because he has to accompany his wife.”

The first to get married among their group was Huo Yanting.

Jiang Siheng said, “I’ll be joining a production soon.”

Yan Sheng clicked his tongue. “Does that mean you won’t see your little boyfriend for a long time?”

Jiang Siheng: “None of your business.”

Yan Sheng was momentarily stunned: “…”

Xiao Pang placed the luggage in the trunk and stood by the car, waiting for the two to finish talking. After a while, seeing that Yan Sheng wouldn’t let Jiang Siheng leave and was continuously changing the topic, Xiao Pang checked his watch. If they didn’t leave soon, they might miss the flight. After a brief moment, he stepped forward and whispered, “Jiang Ge, we’re running out of time.”

Jiang Siheng responded with a sound, patted the Maybach door, and said, “Let’s go.”

Yan Sheng watched the business car drive off into the distance. After a while, the driver glanced in the rearview mirror and spoke, “Mr. Yan?”

“Let’s go.” Yan Sheng pressed the car window button. The window slowly rolled up until the outside could no longer be seen, “We’re going to the airport too.”

Inside the business car, Jiang Siheng lowered his head and sent a WeChat message to Wen Chi, reminding him to eat breakfast once he woke up.

Xiao Pang turned around and looked at Jiang Siheng. “By the way, Jiang Ge, Director Xu sent me a message last night. He asked why you haven’t replied to his WeChat.”

Jiang Siheng raised an eyebrow. “What time did he message you?”

Xiao Pang flipped through the chat with Director Xu. “1:37 a.m..”

Jiang Siheng indifferently replied, “It’s normal that I didn’t reply.”

Who would ignore their warm, soft lover and reply to a middle-aged man?

Jiang Siheng scrolled through the messages; there were too many red dots. Director Xu’s messages were nearly buried at the bottom.

    12:17 a.m.
[Director Xu: The role of Wen Weiyang needs to be recast.]

    12:23 a.m.
[Director Xu: Damn, getting this issue right before filming starts, at least changing the actor is still possible.]

    12:48 a.m.
[Director Xu: I already have someone in mind. I’ll have him come in two days to try out, and if he’s suitable, he’ll join the crew directly.]

    1:03 a.m.
    [Director Xu: [Missed call]]

Jiang Siheng raised an eyebrow and typed a reply: [You can decide.]

Just as he exited the chat, Director Xu’s message popped up.

[Director Xu: So you’re finally awake [smile].]

[Director Xu: What happened, no signal on your phone last night?]

To be honest, Director Xu had quite the talent for sarcasm.

    [Jiang Siheng: I was asleep.]

[Director Xu: You went to sleep so early?]

[Jiang Siheng: I’m taking care of my health.]

    [Director Xu: …]

[Director Xu: Oh, I was going to tell you something, but with your attitude, I’m really disappointed, so I think I’ll keep it to myself.]

Jiang Siheng didn’t reply to Director Xu. After a while, Director Xu sent another message.

[Director Xu: Hey, guess who I found for the role?]

[Jiang Siheng: Don’t guess, it’s whoever you want.]

Jiang Siheng ignored whatever else Director Xu sent and exited WeChat. He put his phone down and stretched out in the seat, spreading his legs, sitting lazily with his cap pulled low over his eyes, pretending to doze off.

When Wen Chi woke up, the first thing he did was look beside him, only to find that Jiang Siheng was already gone. The spot where Jiang Siheng had slept was cold, showing that he had left long ago.

Wen Chi blinked in confusion, sat up, and hugged the blanket, staring blankly for a few seconds. When his mind cleared a little, he reached for the phone on the nightstand, unlocked it, and sure enough, he saw the WeChat message from Jiang Siheng.

The message, sent at 5:40 a.m., reminded him to eat breakfast once he woke up.

    It was too early.

Wen Chi glanced at the time. It was just past 8 a.m., meaning Jiang Siheng had woken up and left for the airport three hours ago.

Wen Chi pouted. No wonder Jiang Siheng didn’t want him to send him off last night. If he had told him that the flight was so early, Wen Chi definitely wouldn’t have gone.

After breakfast, since Wen Chi’s flight was in the afternoon, he wasn’t in a rush. He could even eat lunch at the manor before leaving. However, the others all had morning flights so Wen Chi ended up sending each of them off. By the time everyone else had left, he was the only one left.

“Xiao Chi, the chef asked me what we want for lunch,” Sangsang cheerfully walked in.

Wen Chi was playing a game when he heard Sangsang and looked up at her, then lowered his head to continue playing. “Anything’s fine, I just want to eat meat!”

    “Got it.”

Even though only Wen Chi and Sangsang were having lunch at the manor, the food prepared by the chef was still exquisite and delicious. They even made two extra desserts for the two of them.

“Xiao Chi, your flight to Huaixin City is at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow, and you have an audition with the director at 2:30 p.m.,” Sangsang reported the schedule while eating and checking her phone.

“Okay.” Wen Chi chewed on the chicken leg, his cheeks puffed out, listening attentively to Sangsang.

“It’s going to rain in Huaixin City for the next few days. You should bring extra clothes, Xiao Chi.”

    Wen Chi nodded. “Got it.”

After hearing Wen Chi’s reaction, Sangsang suddenly felt like she wasn’t acting as his assistant but more like his mother.

“By the way, Xiao Chi, do you know who the director is for this audition?”

“I don’t know. Jin Ge hasn’t told me. He just kept stressing that the director of this movie is much more impressive than Chen Han.”

When Sangsang heard the name “Chen Han,” she quickly frowned. “More impressive than that trash? Does that mean it could be…?”

Wen Chi understood what Sangsang was implying and said, “Don’t worry, it’s not him. I heard the director reached out directly to Jin Ge.”

Sangsang couldn’t judge the situation entirely, but she still kept her guard up.

Soon, it was the day of the audition. Wen Chi, Sangsang, and Jin Ge went to Huaixin City together. Originally, Jin Ge had other work to do, but he couldn’t help worrying about the two of them. Fearing that something might go wrong like last time, he canceled his other work and stayed with them until Wen Chi finished the audition smoothly.

“You’ve read the script, right? There are a few scenes you might be asked to perform on the spot, so be prepared,” Jin Ge kept reminding Wen Chi while they were on their way to the audition from the hotel.

“I’ve read it, I’ve read it,” Wen Chi covered his ears and moved aside.

“I’m telling you, the director of this movie is really impressive, even more so than someone like, you know…” Jin Ge stroked his chin, giving Wen Chi a meaningful look. “And you should know this director.”

Wen Chi lowered his hand, surprised. “I know him? I can actually know someone so impressive…?”

Before he could finish his sentence, Wen Chi suddenly froze, a thought seemingly coming to him. He turned to look at Jin Ge with wide eyes.

Jin Ge said with a mischievous grin, “The director of this movie is Director Xu, Xu Yulin.”
