    UPDATES ON TUESDAY AND FRIDAY!
Hello! Thank you for reading and supporting ACBAM. Your comments and support are my extra motivation to update and translate a story. I appreciate it if you can comment:)

That night, Gu Weiyang tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep.

The next morning, Gu Weiyang didn’t go for a morning run. Instead, he prepared breakfast early and placed it in the thermos box in the kitchen. He left a note for Su Shijin, saying that he had gone to work first, and then left the house.

But in reality, Gu Weiyang didn’t go to work. Instead, he went to the hospital.

Gu Weiyang felt that his body wasn’t quite normal at the moment. Maybe it was because during the desensitization treatment, he often held back and didn’t find relief, which might have caused problems. So, he decided to take the time to go to the hospital for a full check-up.

However, the alpha’s pride was especially strong at this time. Gu Weiyang felt embarrassed to directly go for an alpha-specific check-up, so he simply bought a whole set of full-body exams.

Anyway, whether there was a problem or not, the check-up would reveal everything.

Gu Weiyang then spent the entire morning going through all the check-up items.

Except for a few reports that couldn’t be issued on the same day and would need to be waited on for a few days, all the check-up reports that could be ready that afternoon were collected later that day.

When Gu Weiyang got the reports, he still felt a bit nervous.

He found a doctor he was familiar with, someone who was known for being discreet, and asked if there were any health issues in the reports.

The doctor initially thought Gu Weiyang must have found some problem, and put on his reading glasses to examine the report carefully. However, after looking through it, he realized that not only was there no issue, but the results were so good that the person seemed to be in excellent health, as strong as an ox.

“This…” The old doctor furrowed his brows, somewhat puzzled, and put the report down.

As soon as Gu Weiyang saw the doctor frown, his expression immediately tensed up. “Is there a problem?”

The old doctor reassured him, “No, it’s nothing. There’s no problem.”

Gu Weiyang: “Then why are you looking so serious?”

The old doctor: “Because you looked so serious. I was worried that if I looked too happy, you would think I wasn’t respecting your nervousness, and then turn around and file a complaint against me.”

    Gu Weiyang: “…What?”

The old doctor sighed. “I got a complaint for exactly that reason yesterday.”

    “…”

Gu Weiyang was speechless. “So, there’s nothing wrong with my report?”

The old doctor took off his reading glasses. “No, you’re very healthy. The young alphas nowadays can’t compare to you. Based on the data, you’re much healthier than a full-grown bull.”

Gu Weiyang ignored the doctor’s analogy. Knowing that he was in good health, he felt a bit relieved. As long as there wasn’t a physical problem, that was all that mattered.

However, Gu Weiyang still had doubts about his performance yesterday. He thought it was possible that the match rate between him and Su Shijin was so high that things happened too quickly.

And to be honest, his speed wasn’t all that fast. After all, the desensitization treatment had lasted nearly half an hour before Su Shijin’s pheromone, which had slipped out of control for a moment, triggered his reaction.

Perhaps it was because he had been controlled for too long before that, and when the omega’s pheromone suddenly spiraled out of control, he simply couldn’t keep his composure in that instant?

There’s that saying online that if someone is kept at the edge for too long without release, and then suddenly more pressure is applied or a sudden release happens, they’ll just break down.

Gu Weiyang thought that was exactly what happened to him yesterday.

It’s just that yesterday, he had been so worried, thinking that something was wrong with his body, and he couldn’t calm down to think it through.

Now that he understood what had happened, Gu Weiyang felt completely relieved.

That night, Gu Weiyang finally had a peaceful sleep.

Happy times always seem to pass by quickly, and before long, it was nearly the end of April.

The seminar that Su Shijin was attending only lasted three days, and those three days counted as paid leave.

Since Su Shijin had told Gu Weiyang he would be away for half a month, he would need to figure out a way to stay in another city for at least ten more days.

Taking ten days off wasn’t a problem for Su Shijin. He has last year’s annual leave, plus the unused compensatory time off, added up to at least twenty days.

The only issue was, where would he go for those ten days?

Since Su Shijin started working at the animal hospital, he had grown accustomed to a routine life, only going between work and home.

He rarely took vacations before because he didn’t like traveling alone, nor did he enjoy going out with too many people. So, staying at the animal hospital and interacting with animals made him feel more at ease.

Now, if he was going to attend the seminar for half a month and had already mentioned it, he couldn’t just secretly go back to work at the hospital. If Mr. Gu found out, he wouldn’t be able to explain himself.

Su Shijin sighed and flipped through various travel guides on his phone, realizing that lying was a really troublesome thing.

In the end, while he was working at the animal hospital, he overheard the receptionist, Tian Yapeng, saying she was taking a few days off in the summer to take her kids to the beach. That gave him the idea to fly to F City’s beach. He booked a seaside hotel for the ten days after the seminar and then casually mentioned to Mr. Gu that he would return around May 15th.

At first, Gu Weiyang didn’t show much of a reaction. After all, he already knew that Su Shijin would be away for half a month due to work.

He was a mature alpha so he wouldn’t make a fuss just because the omega had work commitments.

Besides, the contract for the half-month would be made up later so he wasn’t losing out at all.

Not only wasn’t he losing, but he even made a gain!

He gained a voice message that he could listen to over and over again without ever getting tired of it!

Gu Weiyang wore his bluetooth earphones, looping Su Shijin’s words, “I’ll take responsibility for you,” as he worked his magic in the kitchen.

After finishing dinner, Gu Weiyang took off his earphones and shouted up to the second floor, “Dr. Su, dinner’s ready!”

Su Shijin was packing his luggage in the walk-in closet. Upon hearing his voice, he put down the clothes in his hands and decided to have dinner first before continuing with the packing.

When Su Shijin came downstairs, Gu Weiyang had just finished bringing out the last dish and casually hung his apron on the back of a chair.

“How’s the packing going?” Gu Weiyang asked.

“Almost done. If I’m missing anything, I can just buy it over there,” Su Shijin replied.

Gu Weiyang nodded. “Are you leaving tomorrow?”

“Mm, I’ll go to the hospital in the morning to hand over my work, and then leave in the afternoon,” Su Shijin said.

Gu Weiyang felt a bit reluctant, but still pretended to be composed and nodded. “I’ll drive you to the station.”

Since the seminar was being held in K City, which wasn’t too far from Jiang City, Su Shijin had bought a high-speed train ticket.

It was only from K City to F City that Su Shijin had bought a plane ticket.

Of course, Gu Weiyang didn’t know that.

“You have to work tomorrow, right? I won’t trouble you then, I’ll just take a taxi,” Su Shijin said.

Gu Weiyang quickly responded, “It’s not a trouble at all.”

Then he stared at Su Shijin, silently, with a look that clearly said, ‘Just let me drive you.’

This farewell would last for half a month and Gu Weiyang wanted to spend as much time with him as possible.

Su Shijin couldn’t hold out against that gaze any longer. He felt that ever since Gu Weiyang had admitted his feelings, he had become more and more direct in expressing them.

In the end, Su Shijin gave in to that look, letting out a helpless sigh. “Alright, you can send me. If you really don’t mind the trouble.”

Gu Weiyang firmly replied, “Not troublesome at all!”

In the next moment, he pushed his luck, leaning in with a hopeful expression and eagerly asked, “So, how about we watch a movie together tonight?”

The lone A and the solitary O, watching a movie in the media room in the middle of night.

Just the thought of it made Gu Weiyang excited.
