ASFTB 27: Li Lingfeng is a Devil!!
by starlightxelJian Chengxi had never felt that life could be this unbearably difficult.
At the doorway, Wang Zhe followed his gaze, and when his eyes landed on Li Lingfeng, he froze for a moment then his whole body went rigid.
Having lived in the underground city for many years, of course he knew Li Lingfeng.
The moment he heard that man had returned, he knew trouble was inevitable. Li Lingfeng never let a grudge go. Something like this had happened, and there was no way he’d let it slide.
Originally, Wang Zhe had planned to take advantage of Li Lingfeng attending tonight’s banquet in Sky City to make his escape.
What he hadn’t expected was that Jian Chengxi would still send him word.
Last time, he had tricked Jian Chengxi into exchanging all the remaining money for a jade pendant, and he knew that was a considerable fortune. If Jian Chengxi was willing to run away with him, why wouldn’t he go along with it?
But…
He never imagined someone else would be here!
Wang Zhe’s eyes widened in panic, his voice trembling as he tried to speak while staring at Li Lingfeng. “You… you…”
Li Lingfeng sat calmly on a chair in the clinic. In the cramped yet cozy room, his armored figure radiated an air of lethal menace. His sharp gaze narrowed slightly, and the tall, striking man exuded an unshakable composure. It was a stark contrast to the tense, cowering, and small-statured Wang Zhe.
Normally, Wang Zhe could still throw his weight around in the underground city, relying on his family’s backing.
Yet now, he looked downright laughable.
Li Lingfeng’s voice carried a vague, dangerous undertone. “You’re Wang Zhe.”
A cold sweat broke out on Wang Zhe’s back for no reason. He stood frozen in place, seized by the chilling sensation of being locked onto by a dangerous predator, so much so that he couldn’t even force out a word.
And just at that moment—
Li Lingfeng acted as though he hadn’t even noticed him, turning instead to Jian Chengxi. “So this is the ‘old lover’ your neighbor mentioned?”
!!
Jian Chengxi’s scalp prickled, and he was just about to speak.
Wang Zhe shouted out first, his voice loud and desperate. “No, it’s not!”
Jian Chengxi blinked in surprise, eyes widening.
“I have nothing to do with him.” Wang Zhe’s usual arrogance was gone, rubbing his hands nervously, he said, “General, please, you must see clearly, I could never have anything to do with Jian Chengxi. If you insist on saying it, it was that slut who seduced me. It has nothing to do with me. I didn’t know you were here, otherwise, even with ten times the courage, I’d never dare disturb your family reunion. Alright, alright, I’ll leave you to your business…”
Even as he spoke, Wang Zhe turned on his heel to bolt for the door.
However—
Swish!
A blade, faster than his legs could carry him, struck first. The razor-sharp knife buried itself deep into the doorframe, stopping just a breath away from his face!
The cold gleam of silver reflected in Wang Zhe’s terrified eyes. In that instant, his legs gave out beneath him, his body nearly collapsing as his mind went utterly blank.
From behind came a deep, resonant voice laced with frost. “Did I say you could leave?”
A fresh wave of cold sweat broke out across Wang Zhe’s back as the crushing sense of mortal danger closed in on him.
Too terrifying…
How could anyone be this strong, like some kind of monster!
…
The atmosphere inside the room sank into a suffocating heaviness.
Just as the tension was about to snap, the doors to the doctor’s operating room suddenly swung open, and someone called out, “Family of Li Chen?”
Jian Chengxi reacted first, hurrying forward. “I’m here. Doctor, how is he?”
The doctor rubbed his sore wrist and said, “The child’s fine. He’s just entered the beast phase that all orcs go through after the age of three. Normally, it happens earlier but this one was delayed only because of past malnutrition.”
Jian Chengxi repeated blankly, “Beast phase?”
The doctor looked at him in surprise. “You didn’t know?”
Feeling a little embarrassed, Jian Chengxi nevertheless gave an honest shake of his head.
The doctor gave him a simple explanation. “The beast phase is a condition unique to the orc race. Every month, young orcs will spend two days in this state. During that time, they can’t maintain their human form and become more vulnerable. Their temperament may also differ from usual, they’re more likely to act spoiled and need the close company of family. By rights…”
Jian Chengxi asked curiously, “By rights what?”
“Isn’t your husband an orc too?” The doctor gave a knowing smile. “You ought to be well aware of this.”
Jian Chengxi stiffly turned his head toward Li Lingfeng.
It was nearly impossible to imagine such a ruthless man ever acting spoiled or fragile. The thought of that snow-white and fluffy tail, like a big cat just begging to be stroked, suddenly made his heart skip in a strange way…
As if sensing exactly what Jian Chengxi was thinking, Li Lingfeng’s frosty gaze swept over him, cold and sharp.
Jian Chengxi: “Cough…”
The doctor, mistaking it for a bit of flirting between husband and wife, chuckled and said, “Alright then, the child’s human form has stabilized and he’s out of danger. He’s still a little weak so take him to a ward to rest. As for me, I need to hurry back to Sky City to find my man!”
With that, he whipped off his coat and strode out in a rush.
At the door stood Wang Zhe, so terrified he had nearly wet himself.
The doctor didn’t show the slightest annoyance over his clinic being wrecked. Instead, his smile widened as he poked Wang Zhe on the forehead. “Looking like that, and you still claim he seduced you? Maybe try looking in a mirror first.”
Those words drained what little color was left from Wang Zhe’s embarrassed face.
Jian Chengxi, however, paid no attention to any of that. Stepping into the room, he immediately saw the child lying on the bed. Li Chen had already returned to his human form. Remembering the doctor’s instructions, Jian Chengxi went over to lift the child into his arms but the movement tugged at the wound on his back. It must have been torn open when he fell earlier, and now with his clothes pulling against it, the pain made his arm tremble.
Just then, footsteps sounded outside the door.
When Jian Chengxi looked up and saw Li Lingfeng, he finally felt a weight lift from his chest. “Could you… help carry the child to the ward?” he asked.
Li Lingfeng strode in without hesitation.
On the bed, Li Chen’s face was deathly pale and his forehead beaded with sweat. His hair clung to his thin cheeks, and his small body curled up in a posture that screamed of insecurity. No matter how tough he might seem, he was still only a three-year-old child.
Li Lingfeng walked to the bedside and, with effortless ease, gathered the boy into his arms.
Jian Chengxi couldn’t help but laugh. “No, not like that, you’re carrying him like luggage.”
The man who had spent his life on battlefields had never once held a child. His first half of life was spent with blades and blood, the second half amidst storms of war.
Jian Chengxi stepped closer, carefully adjusting the boy in his arms. Against Li Lingfeng’s broad, powerful chest, Li Chen’s small frame seemed even more fragile. With just a slight shift, he could be cradled securely but Li Lingfeng’s body was stiff, almost comically so. For all his ferocity and violence as a general, here he was frozen up simply because of holding a child.
It was strangely endearing and almost funny, in a way.
Jian Chengxi couldn’t hold it in. He pressed his lips together and let out a quiet laugh, his eyes clear with amusement as he looked up. “Alright.”
Li Lingfeng’s dark and fathomless gaze met his. The man seemed to realize he was being laughed at, yet he didn’t grow angry. Instead, he simply asked, “Where’s the ward?”
Jian Chengxi replied, “To the left. I went there before.”
He stepped out of the operating room to lead the way, and at that moment, Wang Zhe seized the chance to slip out the main doors and flee.
A strange sense of relief welled up in Jian Chengxi’s chest. The last thing he wanted in this life was to be entangled with the original owner’s past. All he wished for was to live his own days in peace, without interference.
The old wooden door of the ward creaked open with a drawn-out groan.
After stepping inside, Jian Chengxi said, “Wait a moment.”
Li Lingfeng remained at the doorway, watching him move about. Jian Chengxi went over, pulled the blanket back, and gave it a few shakes to fluff it up before finally saying, “Alright!”
Under the glow of the overhead light, the cold and sterile ward seemed to warm just a little, as if touched by his presence.
Li Lingfeng stepped up to the bedside. As a man always known for decisive action, his movements were surprisingly slow as he gently laid the child onto the mattress. The old hospital bed creaked loudly, the sound stark in the quiet room.
Jian Chengxi pulled the blanket over, carefully tucking Li Chen in.
Just as he straightened to stand, the unconscious boy seemed to sense it. His frail little hand lifted and clutched tightly onto Jian Chengxi’s.
Jian Chengxi’s breath caught in surprise. Turning his head slightly, he whispered, “Xiao Chen, you’re awake?”
Li Chen lay on the bed, half his pale face buried in the pillow. His dark eyes opened slowly, carrying a fragile glimmer so unlike their usual clarity. In a hoarse, childlike voice, he murmured, “Daddy… don’t go.”
Jian Chengxi’s heart melted. “I’m not leaving. Daddy’s right here.”
Normally, Li Chen was quiet and reserved, nothing like his younger sister who loved to act spoiled and express herself. Most of the time, the boy kept silent but today seemed to be an exception.
Jian Chengxi asked softly, “Xiao Chen, are you feeling unwell anywhere else? Will you tell Daddy?”
Li Chen shook his head faintly. His whole body seemed to ache, yet his tiny hand still clung desperately to Jian Chengxi’s, his childish voice repeating over and over, “Daddy, don’t go.”
Jian Chengxi’s nose stung for no reason. He murmured, “I’m not leaving, I’ll never leave. Your Father is here to look after you too. We’ll both stay with you, always, never going anywhere.”
His gentle reassurance seemed to work.
Li Chen’s small hand relaxed a little, and in a soft whisper he said, “Don’t want Father… want Daddy.”
“…”
This child—why did he have to blurt out everything?
Jian Chengxi glanced at Li Lingfeng and gave an awkward smile. Trying to mend the bond between father and son, he spoke softly, “Why wouldn’t you want your Father? Didn’t we say tonight that once your Father came back, we could finally live good days together?”
Li Chen fell silent, his eyelids drooping halfway, looking obedient and quiet.
Just as Jian Chengxi was about to ease the mood, the boy, who was usually so quiet, suddenly spoke. “Then what if Father goes off to war again?”
Jian Chengxi choked on his words.
Lying with his back to Li Lingfeng, Li Chen’s voice came out low, laced with a child’s stubbornness and grievance. “This time… how long will you be gone?”
Jian Chengxi looked toward Li Lingfeng. The tall and imposing man stood silently at the bedside. He was everyone’s hero, yet he had never been a good father. Under the glow of the lamp, his shadow stretched long and heavy across the floor. Perhaps it wasn’t just the beast phase, words this full of unease were ones the usually reticent boy would normally swallow down, never voicing aloud.
The room sank into silence.
Li Lingfeng finally spoke, his voice low. “The Zerg have already been wiped out.”
For a man who had always walked alone, offering any explanation to a child was nothing short of unprecedented.
Li Chen lay quietly on the bed, his back small and frail, his thin arms marked with old scars. In a soft murmur, he asked, “If another enemy shows up, wouldn’t you still have to go?”
…
The room fell into a deathly silence.
Jian Chengxi hurriedly spoke up. “Xiao Chen, your Father went to war to protect the country, to protect everyone. He—”
Li Chen buried his face in the blanket. During the beast phase, an orc’s deepest, darkest emotions would be magnified countless times. In a raw, childish cry, he shouted, “Then let them all die!!”
The boy’s young eyes flared crimson, his breath ragged and wild.
During the beast phase, orcs must never let their emotions get out of control. Before Jian Chengxi could even react, Li Chen shouted, his breath burning, then collapsed onto the bed and fainted, once again turning back into a little snow leopard.
Jian Chengxi rushed over in panic. “Xiao Chen!”
The unconscious little snow leopard lay on the bed, letting out weak whimpering sounds.
Just as Jian Chengxi was fretting, Li Lingfeng stepped forward. He seemed very experienced in handling spiritual power disorders in orcs. Taking off his coat, he wrapped the little snow leopard up, then tied a strap around the little one’s arm to stabilize him.
Jian Chengxi hesitated. “What are you doing?”
Li Lingfeng answered briefly, “During the beast phase, cubs need comfort from their parents’ spiritual power. Wrapping them in clothing gives them a sense of security.”
Jian Chengxi let out a breath of relief, then looked at Li Lingfeng in confusion. “Then why didn’t you use my coat?”
Li Lingfeng’s gaze fell on him, his eyes dark and deep. His thin lips parted slightly. “If you take off your coat, will there be anything left underneath?”
“…”
!!!!
How did he even notice that underneath was just a sleeveless thin shirt!
Jian Chengxi felt a sudden wave of embarrassment, his eyes darting away. “Th-then forget it.”
At first, he had been truly afraid of Li Lingfeng, but after spending the night together, this man hadn’t harmed him at all. For some reason, Jian Chengxi no longer felt that same fear.
The night had grown late.
Jian Chengxi glanced out the window at the Sky City high above, hesitating over whether he should tell him to head back.
Li Lingfeng spoke first. “I’m not going back tonight.”
Once again, Jian Chengxi was shocked. How did he always know what he was about to say. Since he couldn’t very well chase him out, he replied, “Then… why don’t you rest on the sofa over there?”
The room was far too simple and even the only sofa was just an old wooden seating.
Jian Chengxi had worried Li Lingfeng would dislike it, but he only gave a faint nod. Just as he was about to walk over, the silence of the underground city was suddenly broken by a thunderous explosion echoing from a nearby street!
It wasn’t too close, but the tremor could still be felt.
Jian Chengxi nearly jumped out of his skin.
From the clinic, he could see blazing flames erupting just a few streets away.
At the same time, several small airships shot up into the sky, their hulls glowing. People screamed as they fled into the streets, while the ships’ cannons strafed along the walls like marauding bandits.
Jian Chengxi was stunned. “What’s happening?”
The airships drew closer, and more and more people crowded the streets. The fire was clearly coming from the underground city’s administrative office. It was the place where a large stockpile of supplies was stored, meant to be distributed to soldiers’ families soon. For the impoverished people of the underground city, that was a fortune. With all the soldiers scheduled to return tomorrow, the supplies should have been heavily guarded by the office’s troops. Yet now, that very place was in flames!
Jian Chengxi blurted out in a rush, “Is it a robbery, or what?”
Tonight was destined to be anything but peaceful.
Li Lingfeng reacted the fastest. He was already stepping onto the window ledge, his face cold, a shadowed darkness in his eyes. Standing firm, he turned back and said, “Lock the window. Stay inside with the child. Don’t come out.”
Jian Chengxi hurriedly nodded. “Okay, I understand. But you—”
Before he could finish, Li Lingfeng had already vanished, disappearing at a speed that was frighteningly fast.
The raiders’ airships were already preparing to flee.
Just as they were about to break free from the southern airspace of the underground city, a military warship appeared. Its mechs struck with ferocity, every cannon blast slamming into the raiders’ ships. Even that underestimated Li Lingfeng’s strength—years of battling the Zerg had honed his reflexes to be many times sharper than ordinary men. By sheer force alone, he managed to block the bandits’ small airships.
Realizing they couldn’t win in the skies, the raiders suddenly dropped their ships down from the airspace and drove straight into the streets!
The streets were filled with people who had no time to dodge, their desperate cries rising in the chaos:
“Help!”
“Run, hurry!”
“Faster!”
In times of turmoil, danger seemed to lurk everywhere.
Jian Chengxi quickly scooped the child into his arms. The deafening roar from outside stirred Li Chen awake. He had shifted back into human form, his dark eyes staring toward the window where flames of war raged endlessly.
“Boom!”
A massive bomb tore apart the houses on a nearby street.
The raiders’ airship was now dangerously close to the clinic. If it crossed past here, the village up ahead, the most densely populated area, would be at risk!
Clutching the child, Jian Chengxi hid behind the bed. The window rattled with the shockwaves, and his whole body trembled in fear. Coming from a peaceful era, he had never faced anything like this. Yet still, he covered the child’s ears, forcing his shaky voice to sound steady.
“Don’t be afraid… don’t be afraid. Your Father is a general. He’ll protect us. The bad guys will all be defeated…”
The roar of the airship’s massive engines drew closer and closer. The clinic’s alley was too narrow and at any moment, the wall could be torn apart.
In that split second—
“Boom!!”
The deafening crash of colliding ships shook the air.
Right at the edge of the clinic, Li Lingfeng’s military warship rammed the bandits’ airship out of the sky. The tremendous impact set both vessels ablaze, roaring flames surging upward in a fierce inferno.
Jian Chengxi’s eyes widened, his mind going completely blank.
In his arms, Li Chen stared through the shattered glass outside. His voice was hoarse, yet brimming with emotion. “Father…”
Only then did Jian Chengxi snap back to himself. He looked down at the child. No matter how much he had just shouted from the bed that he didn’t want his father, that he hated him—when his father was in danger, the bond of blood was impossible to hide.
Li Lingfeng was still inside the warship.
The flames were so fierce, and from such a height, an ordinary man would have been burned alive.
Jian Chengxi couldn’t stay calm either. Holding the child, he stood up, worriedly wanting to get closer to the window for a look.
Just then—
A thunderous sound erupted from the warship. A towering figure emerged from the blaze, dragging two men in his grasp. The bandits he hauled out were actually dwarves. They screamed and struggled, but were hurled straight to the ground. The fire-scorched earth was searing hot, making them howl in agony, only to have their spines crushed beneath his boot in the next instant.
Li Lingfeng’s long legs were clad in black military boots. Standing tall above the men on the ground, his voice was icy and sharp. “Still thinking of running?”
The two dwarf bandits screamed, their cries piercing the night.
They could hardly believe anyone could survive such a violent crash unscathed. Their voices trembled. “Y-you… are you a monster?”
In the glow of the nearby flames, Li Lingfeng’s face was especially grim. His tone was cold and pressing. “Who sent you to steal the supplies tonight? Who gave you the key?”
The dwarf bandit gritted his teeth. “We got the key ourselves, what’s it to you? Bad luck we fell into your hands. No one sent us, we just wanted to steal it. Those supplies are rich, who wouldn’t want a share!”
Li Lingfeng’s cold gaze looked down on them as if they were nothing but ants. “Supplies meant for soldiers’ families and you dare to take them.”
As if he had just heard the most ridiculous joke in the world.
The dwarf bandit writhed in pain, his voice rising with raw agitation. “Soldiers’ families? Do you even know that people in the other towns are starving to death? It’s been five whole years since the Divine Tree withered and every bit of land is gone! The price of nutrient solution is so high, not everyone can afford it! Winter is coming, and even the fruit trees on the mountains won’t bear anymore. Do you know the people in the western underground cities are all going to starve!”
His desperate cries rang out against the backdrop of firelight, a wail of bitter accusation.
The dwarf’s voice was shrill. “You don’t understand! You’re an officer so what do you know about whether us poor folk live or die? Do you know how many of us have starved? All you cling to is that false righteousness! Families, ha! I don’t care about that. If you’ve got the guts, kill me. I’ll starve to death if I go back anyway. You hypocrites!”
Every word was an accusation, sharp and venomous.
Before Li Lingfeng could respond, a hoarse but childish voice came from the window. The shattered frame was pushed open, and Li Chen’s voice rang out. “My Father is not a hypocrite.”
The dwarf bandit looked over in shock.
Li Chen spoke. “If you want the families’ supplies, then earn them on the battlefield. He kills the enemy. You only prey on people just like you, that makes you the hypocrite.”
A child’s words cut the deepest.
The dwarf bandit choked, his face flushing red and pale in turns.
Li Lingfeng remained where he stood, lifting his head to look at the young boy. That face, seven-tenths similar to his own, had only just been shouting that he hated him yet now, he was standing up in his defense.
Li Chen met his eyes for a brief moment, then turned and threw himself into Jian Chengxi’s arms.
Jian Chengxi held the child close, offering a faint smile down toward the man below.
The dwarf bandit on the ground tried to seize the moment to escape but the instant he moved, a crushing force struck his leg and half of it snapped in an instant.
“Ahhh!!”
A shrill, agonized scream tore through the night.
Li Lingfeng’s boot pinned the man to the ground. When the bandit lifted his head, a gun was already pressed to his forehead. The man’s voice was icy. “Last chance. Where did the key come from?”
Tears streamed down the dwarf bandit’s face. Under the crushing pain, he finally choked out, “…Wang Zhe. Wang Zhe gave it to us!”
“…”
Inside the clinic, Jian Chengxi held Li Chen tightly as they hid.
The clinic was deserted at this hour. Since the glass in that room had shattered, Jian Chengxi had taken Li Chen to another room, letting him lie on the bed. He went back to the previous room to fetch Li Lingfeng’s coat, but just as he stepped into the hallway, someone suddenly appeared behind him, covering his mouth and dragging him outside!
Jian Chengxi’s eyes widened as he struggled, muffled sounds escaping his throat.
A voice murmured by his ear—Wang Zhe’s. “It’s me.”
Only when they reached the clinic’s back door did Wang Zhe finally release him.
Jian Chengxi shoved him away hard, snapping, “Wang Zhe, are you out of your mind?”
“Xiao Xi, listen to me,” Wang Zhe said urgently, gripping his arm. “We have to leave now. Li Lingfeng already knows about us and he won’t let us go. The supplies have been secured and moved to a safe place. We just need to get off this planet. Once we’re in another star system, Li Lingfeng will never find us.” He tugged at him anxiously. “Hurry, give me the jade pendant.”
Jian Chengxi asked in confusion, “What do you want the jade pendant for?”
Wang Zhe replied anxiously, “That jade pendant is crucial, it’s Li Lingfeng’s token. A bounty hunter’s jade pendant can freely pass through interstellar stations. Without it, we can’t get out!”
At last, Jian Chengxi understood why the original owner had wanted the jade pendant so badly.
Wang Zhe grabbed him again, yanking him with great force. “Hurry and give me the jade pendant! My ship’s just up ahead. While he’s still interrogating those two dwarves, we have to…”
His words cut off abruptly.
Jian Chengxi winced, trying to pull his arm free. When he noticed the sudden silence, he lifted his head.
At the end of the narrow path stood a man. The firelight in the distance stretched his shadow long, his tall frame wrapped in a dangerous aura. His cold face was expressionless, simply standing there in silence. His gaze swept over the two of them before he spoke in a low voice.
“Where are you going?”
“…”
The atmosphere froze in an instant.
The scene was unbearably awkward. It was almost like being caught in the middle of an elopement.
Jian Chengxi couldn’t care about appearances anymore. He quickly blurted out, “Help me, I was—”
Wang Zhe’s voice rose sharply, cutting him off, filled with defiance. “Li Lingfeng, don’t you come any closer! I’m the appointed administrator of the underground city, personally decreed by the Emperor, you’ve no right to touch me. So what if Xiao Xi and I are together? You’ve been gone for three years, you might as well be a dead ex-husband already! Today I’m taking him away, far from here. Truth is, Xiao Xi has long since had enough of you!!”
Li Lingfeng listened in silence.
The fire behind him blazed, but his gaze wasn’t on Wang Zhe at all. He looked only at Jian Chengxi, his voice deep and low. “Is that so?”
Jian Chengxi shook his head at once, his wrist aching from the tight grip, eyes reddening as his voice broke into a sob. “No, it’s not…”
Wang Zhe shouted over him, “Xiao Xi, you don’t have to be afraid of him!”
Jian Chengxi shot him a hateful glare.
Just as he was about to curse him out, Wang Zhe’s expression suddenly hardened. He shoved Jian Chengxi toward the blazing pit of fire nearby, then bolted straight for the airship’s hatch!
Jian Chengxi, however, crashed painfully into the wall instead.
Just as Wang Zhe was about to rush into the airship, the man standing at the mouth of the alley finally moved. No one could tell how he struck. It all happened in an instant.
Bang!
Wang Zhe’s body flew like a kite with its string cut and slammed down squarely into the blazing pit barely half a step from Jian Chengxi!
A piercing scream split the night.
In the searing blaze, only the glint of a cold sword could be seen, driven straight through the man’s chest.
Crimson blood spilled out, splattering across the silver armor in tiny drops. The fire roared, and the shrill screams came to an abrupt end. Li Lingfeng crouched low, his sharp profile cast in shadow by the flames. The man before him died with eyes wide open, filled with bitter hatred, yet in Li Lingfeng’s gaze there was only icy indifference, not a trace of emotion.
Jian Chengxi sat frozen in place. Because of how close he was, flecks of red dotted his face.
His mind was completely blank.
Li Lingfeng slowly rose to his full height, looking down at Jian Chengxi from above.
“I gave him a chance, but he chose not to cherish it.” His voice was calm yet chilling. “Everyone must pay the price for their own mistakes.”
Jian Chengxi’s breath nearly stopped. He had never imagined that the original owner’s lover would die right before his eyes.
Clang!
Li Lingfeng let the sword fall carelessly to the ground. His military boots crunched over the debris, step by step, until he stopped right in front of him.
He crouched down, the back of his long hand still speckled with traces of blood, forcing Jian Chengxi to meet his gaze. In Jian Chengxi’s eyes, he was a bloodthirsty demon, yet in his own eyes, all he saw was a fragile, beautiful little wife.
It was the first time.
Li Lingfeng’s voice softened, his lips curling faintly. “You will treasure it… won’t you?”
