Raymond saw Li Chen’s face and had a momentary daze.

It wasn’t because he was scolded—he hadn’t realized he had been scolded yet. His daze was because he had never seen such a beautiful person before.

A pale, slender face with a chubby and slightly red-tinged eye from the injury, a straight nose bridge, and extremely thin lips. His whole body was soaked but he didn’t look disheveled. Instead, there was a sense of resilience all over him like a flower growing from a solid stone, making people feel pity but also admire its courage and integrity.

    Raymond softly spoke, “I…”

The system’s broadcast echoed from the forest,【The 60 minutes for this match has ended. All participants, please prepare to return to your positions.】

A sudden dizziness swept over him. After the time was up, the entire virtual rainforest would be completely shut down. Everyone subconsciously closed their eyes.

The entire world was almost instantly blurred, and all the participants were teleported outside the mechanical warehouse.

The live data also began real-time tracking, and the system started broadcasting:

“The latest rankings are out, and the top ten participants are as follows: First place Raymond Dante with 160 points, second place Alex with 120 points, … ninth place Li Chen with 110 points, tenth place Peiqi with 90 points.”

When the system’s broadcast appeared, many people were very surprised.

Especially the children who had just come out of the hatch.

Peiqi was the most puzzled. He stood up and asked, “How could Li Chen have such a high score? I’ve never seen him shoot! Why do I have fewer points than him? Teacher, I demand a re-calculation of the scores!”

The judge said, “The scores calculated by the system will not be wrong.”

Peiqi was somewhat skeptical. He had been with Li Chen the whole time and had never seen him shoot. “It’s impossible, he couldn’t have this score. Teacher, please recalculate it!”

The judges and teachers were somewhat troubled.

However, the child kept insisting and they could not refuse.

In the end, they could only nod and say, “Alright then.”

To ensure there were no issues with the scores, the big screen began replaying many exciting moments from the participants’ matches.

The top-ranking participants were very impressive, especially Raymond. Though he was very young, his physique and reactions were top-notch. His shooting skills were almost flawless, hitting every shot.

Many spectators couldn’t help but exclaim:

    “The future of the capital.”

“This is definitely a promising talent.”

    “The future is limitless.”

“You must know, this is someone cultivated by Imperial Jiang!”

The performance of the remaining participants was slightly weaker, but for a three-year-old child who hadn’t undergone military training, it was already quite impressive to face the beasts without running away immediately.

    Until—

    The replay of Li Chen.

He knocked out a hamster with a stone, and used vines to make a trap. His methods were simple and brutal.

    The crowd: “…?”

The system continued to assign points based on the level of unconsciousness of the beast without stopping the scoring.

The screen, paired with the system’s scoring, appeared somewhat comical.

Yet precisely because of this, the child demonstrated a bravery and calmness that others did not have.

Peiqi looked at the teacher in disbelief. “I–is this really possible? Can this also earn points?”

The teacher was also quite desperate inside, but could only nod and say, “As long as the system determines it as a passing score, it all counts.”

The calculation of the score reached Peiqi’s score.

The system re-scanned, but a discrepancy appeared. Peiqi originally had 90 points, but during the recalculation, the system detected that some of the beasts Peiqi had captured were ones that had already been knocked out by Li Chen and had been recorded for penalty before Peiqi caught them.

The score fluctuated up and down.

    The recalculation began again.

In the end, Peiqi’s score was adjusted, dropping to 80 points. He became the 11th place.

The teacher glanced at Peiqi and said, “Alright, the checks are done. Everything’s just and fair now, right?”

    “…”

I told you to calculate his.

I didn’t tell you to lower my score.

Peiqi’s face alternated between pale and flushed, but it made the viewers in the livestream laugh at the spectacle:

    “This kid is too funny.”

“He checked his own ranking and saw it drop.”

“The child from the Underground City is actually in the top ten.”

    “Is his leg injured?”

“If he’s injured, then this result is really not bad.”

At first, the audience admired Li Chen’s intelligence, but later after they found out he was from the Underground City, they became somewhat biased. However, after Peiqi made his request, the system specifically edited and replayed the footage which highlighted Li Chen’s bravery and wisdom even more.

It instead changed the way everyone viewed this child.

Other children, who won good ranks, all had a group of people cheering and celebrating, sharing the joy of victory.

Even Peiqi, whose rank had dropped, was surrounded by a group of children comforting him:

    “Class monitor, it’s okay.”

    “Just try harder next time.”

“It’s just bad luck this time.”

Yet Li Chen, who entered the top ten with a good rank for the first time, was surrounded by no one.

Li Chen came out of the hatch and he glanced at the crowd not far away. The boy’s cold face showed no expression. He had long since gotten used to such things.

A sharp pain shot through his calf, and he almost fell in front of everyone.

A cold sweat broke out on his back.

He still endured the pain and stood up.

His fingers, gripping the hatch door, turned white.

A clear, crisp voice came from nearby,  “Gege!”

A small figure ran towards him.

Li Suisui’s hair that was tied with a red ribbon fluttered in the air. She rushed over, hugged him with a smile, and her voice sweet, “You won!”

Behind her, Jian Chengxi’s helpless voice followed closely, “Suisui, slow down. Don’t fall!”

The little sister turned around to look. Her clear, cheerful laughter was sweet and pleasant. “Daddy, hurry up.”

Jian Chengxi walked over from behind while holding a jacket in his hand.

The weather had turned cool, and the evening glow had dyed half of the sky in an orange-yellow hue. The weather had already turned chilly and a cold wind blew from a distant place. A jacket was draped over Li Chen’s shoulders, still carrying the warmth that hadn’t yet faded.

Jian Chengxi picked him up. “The teacher said the competition is over. Daddy is here to pick you up.”

Li Chen’s back was drenched in sweat.

His mental power could collapse due to his physical injury, but his pain seemed to ease when his daddy held him.

Like a cool breeze sweeping across a scorching desert.

Jian Chengxi’s expression changed. “What’s wrong, are you feeling unwell?”

Li Chen glanced at him and saw his daddy’s concerned eyes filled with worry.

The noise in the gym was loud and bustling.

There were no crowds of people cheering around him like the others, only his daddy and his sister, but his heart was full and he no longer felt cold.

Jian Chengxi said urgently, “Did your leg injury act up? Where does it hurt, is it injured again? I should have known better than to let you sign up. Let’s go find a doctor and get it checked out…”

Li Chen slowly shook his head, and his voice was soft, “No.”

Jian Chengxi looked into the child’s calm face.

He heard Li Chen say, “I chose to participate in the competition on my own, it’s not Daddy’s fault.”

Jian Chengxi’s eyes inexplicably became moist.

How thoughtful his child is, trying to hold himself together just to avoid worrying him. How inspirational this is.

    Jian Chengxi hesitantly asked, “Really?”

Li Chen responded calmly, “I’m very happy.”

Jian Chengxi thought he was happy about participating in the competition and smiled. He prepared to say something encouraging to his son, “Are you this happy?”

    Little did he know—

Li Chen glanced at Peiqi and the others nearby. His gaze is dark and deep, and his voice low and soft, “It’s really great to set traps to smash hamsters openly. The feeling of having endless bullets is just as fun as making mechas.”

    Jian Chengxi: “…”

    Is something wrong here?

In the afternoon, the shooting competition ended while the other sports competitions were still ongoing.

When Jian Chengxi was about to take the two children back, they all had to return to the changing room first to change out of their sportswear and equipment, and then, after the teacher conducted a uniform check, they could leave the school.

    The parents were waiting outside.

Little Peiqi ran over excitedly from outside and said with excitement, “The people from the neighboring Imperial Jiang school are here!”

This caused a stir, like a stone creating ripples in water.

One has to understand that in the children’s hearts, there are also idols.

For example, the students from Imperial Jiang in their hearts are like celebrity figures.

Imperial Jiang School has a long history, especially for the children who attend that school. It’s not just about having money; they must have pure bloodlines, direct royal lineage. After graduation, they are guaranteed to have prestigious positions.

They only obey the royal family.

Their identity and status are naturally self-explanatory.

The other children also said in surprised:

“They are really from Imperial Jiang.”

    “Wow, that’s so cool.”

“I also want to play with them.”

Due to this sports event, the people from Imperial Jiang also participated in a league. When the awards were given, the top three came over. They were supposed to leave after that, but for some reason, they didn’t leave.

Peiqi scratched his head and said, “They seem to be looking for someone. Just now when I passed by, Raymond asked us, ‘Who is the girl by the riverbank?’ But… but there’s no girl by the riverbank.”

Everyone else was very curious about who they were looking for.

Only Li Chen, who had just come out of the changing room, walked outside with a blank expression.

There were a lot of students on the path outside.

The students from Imperial Jiang were present, and many children were curious, wanting to see what the legendary and militarily trained “Jin Wei” looked like. There were quite a few people forming circles along the road.

Three boys were standing under the shade of a tree. They leaned against the car and were wearing black school uniforms with the Imperial Jiang lightning emblem on their chests.

A friend said, “Raymond, aren’t we leaving yet?”

Raymond Dante had a head of golden hair and a pair of beautiful blue eyes. He looked healthy and sunny. He was usually a carefree person, but at this moment, he was a little fidgety.

“I–I think I just upset a little girl during the competition.”

Raymond scratched his head. “I want to wait for her and apologize.”

His friend was a bit surprised. “You can make a little girl angry?”

You have to understand, Raymond was the most popular kid at the kindergarten.

Everyone liked to play with him. He was righteous and generous, sunny and cheerful, and no one could not love Raymond—he was practically God’s favorite.

His friend asked curiously, “How did you make her angry?”

Raymond said uncertainly, “I saw her being bullied by a classmate, so I went to help her, and then…”

As his words trailed off, the blonde boy’s gaze fell on the hallway not far away.

There was a slender figure in the hallway.

Even in the virtual rainforest where everyone’s features and body shapes might have slight variations, inexplicably, even though they had never met and were far apart, Raymond could still recognize that figure at a glance.

    It’s her, there’s no mistake.

Raymond immediately jumped down the steps with agility beyond that of his peers. He landed steadily and said to his friend, “I’ll be right back!”

His friend exclaimed in surprise, “The car is about to leave, where are you going!”

The hallway, bustling with people coming and going, was crowded.

Li Chen’s leg still ached slightly as he had gone into the water during the competition to save Peiqi. The pain lingered even now.

Many children cast strange looks at him. Li Chen walked slowly, adjusting his breath as he walked.

Once he left the hallway, his daddy was waiting outside. He didn’t want to make his daddy worry.

Soft murmurs of discussion came through:

    “He walks so strangely.”

    “Is he limping?”

    “Who is he?”

“He seems to be from the kindergarten.”

The setting sun cast its light on the hallway, and he walked in the shadow against the wall. His thin face was filled with coldness, and his small, slender body seemed fragile, yet his back was straight. Even though there were so many people in the hallway, it felt as if he was the only one.

    Suddenly—

A voice came from behind, “Please wait!”

A warm hand covered his shoulder.

A somewhat familiar voice came from his ear, “Hello, do you remember me? I…”

    Their eyes met.

Raymond saw Li Chen wearing a boy’s school uniform. His delicate little face was cold with a sharp gaze, which made Raymond pause for a moment.

Li Chen’s personality was silent and reserved. He just coldly looked at him.

Raymond’s blue eyes trembled and his pupils dilated. “You…”

Li Chen, due to his leg pain and weak physique, spoke in a low voice, “I have something to do.”

During the virtual rainforest event, this guy mistook his own gender.

    He should understand now, right?

He wasn’t a girl at all, and didn’t need anyone’s protection. It would be better to stay away from him as soon as possible, just like everyone else.

Raymond was stunned for a long time.

Just as Li Chen’s patience was wearing thin and he was enduring his leg pain, ready to continue walking—

Raymond grabbed him with great force, his voice filled with urgency, “What happened to your leg?”

Li Chen looked at him in confusion.

Anger appeared on Raymond’s handsome face. “Are they still bullying you?”

Li Chen furrowed his brows. “What?”

Everyone who saw his leg would immediately mock his walking posture. He was an incomplete cripple.

Yet it was the first time someone had noticed his leg.

    He asked him.

    Are they bullying you?

“That’s too much!” The righteous protagonist’s eyes were filled with anger, and he happened to see Peiqi and the others behind him. He immediately asked, “Was it them?!”

Li Chen’s face was cold, and he said, “No one is bullying me.”

Due to the leg pain, his face was pale. His body was thin and frail, and to Raymond’s eyes, he was simply pretending to be strong.

Raymond immediately picked him up horizontally. “I’m taking you to the hospital right now!”

The entire person was suddenly lifted into the air and was caught off guard!

He didn’t even give anyone time to react!

Li Chen was suddenly picked up. He was caught off guard, and instinctively, to balance himself, he wrapped his arms around Raymond’s neck. Their eyes met. The distance between them was so close.

Raymond was just surprised in his heart. He had never imagined someone could be so light.

    It was like…

    Light, like a feather.

Holding him in his arms, he was afraid he might fall. He was really frail and weak.

He must have been bullied all the time.

Raymond’s sense of justice was once again stirred. The three-year-old child looked heroic, like a knight.

He said to the person in his arms, “You don’t have to be afraid, I’m very strong. If you have any grievances, just tell me, I’ll protect you!”

This would be a day Li Chen would never forget in his life.

Being held in someone’s arms in front of all his classmates. Li Chen was a quiet person, and rarely anything could stir his emotions, but at this moment, his face darkened. Meeting Raymond’s innocent and passionate gaze, his face turned a mix of green and pale.

Raymond thought he wasn’t feeling well. “What’s wrong?”

Li Chen’s voice sounded like it was forced through clenched teeth, “Get lost.”

    Raymond: ?

    At this moment—

A gentle calling voice came from not far away, “Xiao Chen?”

Jian Chengxi had been waiting for the child and had not found him. When he walked closer, he saw the male protagonist, who was holding his son. His eyes widened in disbelief. “You…”

It’s over. If the male lead isn’t going after the female lead, why is he looking for the antagonist?

Is he trying to cause trouble for his own son?

Are they already in opposition at such a young age?!

Li Chen glanced at him and softly called, “Daddy.”

Jian Chengxi responded. He quickly came over to take his son from the male lead’s hands and stepped back a few paces. He smiled at the male lead. “Yo–you guys…”

    Raymond looked at Li Chen.

    Before he could say anything—

Li Chen buried his face in Jian Chengxi’s chest. “I don’t know him.”

Jian Chengxi was momentarily stunned. It seemed like his son really didn’t like the male lead, which made sense. After all, what kind of good connection could there be between the antagonist and the protagonist? Not liking him would be normal!

Just as he was thinking this—

Li Suisui’s voice came from the hallway not far away, “Daddy?”

Jian Chengxi snapped out of it when he heard his daughter’s voice. He said to the male lead, “Sorry, we’ll leave first.”

He quickly left, keeping as far away from the male lead as possible. He walked through the hallway with the children and into the car outside, where he just happened to see his daughter.

Li Suisui was sitting in the car. She lifted her face to softly say, “Daddy, Suisui’s water cup is still in the classroom.”

Jian Chengxi placed Li Chen in the car and didn’t let the children get up. “You stay here, I’ll go back to get it.”

He suppressed the worry in his heart and walked back.

On the tree-lined path, Raymond walked back to meet up with his friends.

His friend asked him, “Did you see her?”

    Raymond nodded.

“Did you apologize to her?” His friend quickly asked, “Has she forgiven you?”

Raymond shook his head and said, “No.”

The boy, who had almost never faced any setbacks in his life, was now confused. He even scratched his head.

Raymond hesitated and said, “He seems to not like me. When I talked to him, he avoided me, and even told me to leave.” (TLn: Based on the raws, 他, was used to refer to Li Chen. It’s not confirmed whether he already knows Li Chen is a man but I personally think he don’t know yet, maybe it’s the author deciding to use 她.)

A three-year-old child doesn’t have that many complicated thoughts and their emotions are almost always written on their faces. He didn’t understand why Li Chen didn’t like him.

His friend sat on the stone steps. The little boy cupped his face, seriously thinking for a moment before speaking, “When my mom and dad were arguing once, she said that when little girls say ‘no,’ it actually means ‘yes.’ They just have thin faces.”

To this group of Imperial Jiang boys, who rarely interacted with girls, this was practically a perfect answer.

Raymond’s eyes brightened. He even automatically ignored the word “girl,” and only heard “like.” A child’s thoughts are simple—they just don’t want to be disliked.

“Really?” Raymond said excitedly, “Is that how it is?”

His friend nodded firmly. “It’s definitely like that!”

Raymond broke into a brilliant smile. “So that’s how it is. Then he likes me too.”

His friend patted him on the shoulder. “Of course!”

Jian Chengxi, who was passing by with a water bottle not far away, paused: “…”

    Ah.

You two might have a hard time finding wives in the future.

    At night—

The Li family’s house was brightly lit.

Jian Chengxi returned from the sports event and received three trophies. His mood could hardly be called unhappy, and although there were some minor incidents along the way, the issues didn’t seem too serious.

The system also said:【The host has had a good harvest today. Each trophy is worth 20 points, and today’s earnings of 60 points have been credited.】

Jian Chengxi said happily, “Then open the mall. Let me see if I can exchange for something.”

The system immediately opened the mall. Previously, Jian Chengxi had mostly been exchanging for memory fragments, but now he was different. With extra points finally available, he decided to exchange for something enjoyable, like from the food section.

The oil, salt, soy sauce, vinegar, and tea section was full of variety, with everything you could possibly need.

Jian Chengxi saw chili peppers in the first row! His eyes lit up immediately. He hadn’t tasted spice in a long time, and for a spice lover, who could understand this kind of suffering!

“Exchange for this chili, 50 points.”

The system immediately said:【The chili has been released, please check.】

Jian Chengxi was feeling pleased. He was ready to wait for the chili to fall onto the table, but unexpectedly, a piece of information opened up in his mind.

【The chili is a dicot herbaceous plant with hairless roots and stems, and a slightly green color. It prefers cold and shade, and grows year-round in valleys and hills. The unripe chili is usually green, and it turns reddish when ripe.】

    Accompanied by several photos.

Jian Chengxi said in shock, “What does it mean to show me this?!”

The system replied:【This is the chili from the imperial capital, meaning it’s the chili you can find on this planet, host. The mall only provides the information, and you’ll need to find the actual chili yourself.】

    Jian Chengxi: “…”

    Scammers!

    Rip-off shop!!

He was a little annoyed, but learning from the mall that chili peppers do exist in this world made him much happier. After all, there’s a big difference between not being able to eat it temporarily and never being able to eat it in this lifetime.

Even if he couldn’t have chili, he still needed to eat.

Since he had been out all day for the past few days, and had been quite tired from exercise, he wanted to eat something simple.

Jian Chengxi decided to make some dumpling soup, which his grandmother used to make for him often. He took the flour out and kneaded it into dough, stirring it in a clockwise direction to mix it evenly, so it would save effort.

You need to add some water during the stirring process.

It can’t be too firm, or the dumplings won’t taste good.

This is Jian Chengxi’s little tip to make the dough a little thinner so that when adding seasoning, it will absorb the flavors better and taste more delicious.

You need to brush a layer of oil in the pot, so that the base soup will have a better flavor when cooked.

There are very few seasonings in this world, but the one thing that isn’t lacking is sweet sugar. The people of Sky City are poor but particular. Possibly because the plants in the Underground City are used to bitterness, so a lot of sugar has been imported from other planets.

He hadn’t found salt yet, so Jian Chengxi decided to make a sweet-flavored dumpling soup.

When it was almost ready, Li Suisui came out of the study and said, “Daddy, there’s no homework from the teacher today. Can I go out and play with Wang Cai?”

    Jian Chengxi said, “Sure.”

Wang Cai likes to circle around behind the glass every time food is being made, very sneaky about it.

Li Suisui went out to play with the dog.

Jian Chengxi, after boiling the water, used chopsticks to slowly drop the dough into the pot. The dough quickly solidified and took shape in the water, and he added the boiled vegetables. By this point, the aroma of the noodles could already be smelled.

Li Suisui stood at the door and said, “Daddy, Wang Cai’s leg seems to be able to run now.”

Jian Chengxi glanced back. The little dog had been at home for just over half a month and it seemed to have gained some weight.

When it was first brought home, it was so thin, like a little skeleton.

“You two, don’t play too far,” Jian Chengxi reminded them. Then he said, “By the way, Suisui. Call your Father and ask what time he’s coming home today?”

The noodles shouldn’t be left for too long, or they’ll lose their taste.

They came back from school quite late today, and usually by this time, Li Lingfeng would have already returned.

Li Suisui nodded and said, “Okay.”

The little girl found the communication device in the living room and tried to make a call. She sat in the living room. Her daddy was cooking in the kitchen not far away, while Wang Cai happily wagged his tail beside him. It was a warm and cozy scene with fabric decorations.

Meanwhile, in the main conference room of the military—

Broken glass shards littered the floor.

The entire conference room was deathly silent. The person lying on the floor was covered in blood, and no one dared to speak up for them.

The capital’s defense system has always been under the control of the main guard of Sky City, and just now, if Li Lingfeng hadn’t been meticulous, noticed that the supplies on the pirate ship’s military vessel were off, and double-checked the surveillance footage, it’s likely no one would have noticed by now. The intercepted smuggling gang of interstellar pirates had infiltrated the capital.

It’s been three full days, and the national defense army hasn’t noticed a thing.

The security team leader struggled and knelt on the ground. His forehead was covered in blood, and he kept begging for mercy, “I never expected it. I had something at home that day, so I had someone cover my shift for a while. I really didn’t expect this, General!”

Li Lingfeng sat at the main seat. His expression was cold and solemn, as cold as a statue. He didn’t speak, and no one dared to speak.

    At this moment—

    The communication device beeped.

The cold and unfeeling general glanced at the number and answered the call. From the other end of the line came his daughter’s soft voice, “Father, it’s Suisui.”

Li Lingfeng’s cold face softened. “Mm, I know.”

His voice noticeably softened a few degrees.

Just now, the team leader who is lying on the ground, bleeding from his head, and has ribs broken—his eyes almost popped out in shock.

Li Suisui said, “Daddy asked Suisui to ask when you’ll be coming home?”

Li Lingfeng glanced at the person on the ground; the infiltration of interstellar pirates was no small matter. However, he still stood up and walked out, “Are you and Daddy at home?”

Li Suisui nodded and said, “Yes.”

Li Lingfeng nodded faintly, but his voice became a bit softer, “Did Daddy ask you to call me?”

After all, it was always him who made the calls before.

Li Suisui sat on the sofa and glanced at her daddy, then said with a smile, “Mm, because Daddy said we should wait for Father to eat together.”

Jian Chengxi, who was cooking, glanced at his daughter with a slightly shy expression.

He was only thinking this to himself.

    Please don’t come out, okay?!

Li Lingfeng’s lips curled slightly. There was still blood from the conference room on the ground beneath his feet. His face was cold, but his voice was gentle, “The troops have some issues, and I probably won’t be coming back tonight. You and Daddy can eat first. Close the doors and windows, sleep early, and don’t make a fuss, okay?”

Li Suisui snorted lightly and said, “Suisui is already grown up, I won’t make a fuss over Daddy!”

Li Lingfeng said softly, “Then sleep by yourself tonight, I won’t let your Daddy stay with you.”

Li Suisui immediately changed her tone, her voice clear and childlike, “Ah, Daddy is calling me to eat. Goodbye, Father!”

    “…”

    The communication call ended.

    The sky outside grew darker.

Li Suisui ran into the kitchen, and Jian Chengxi was pouring egg liquid into a pot of dumpling soup. The aroma of the egg mixed with the fragrant dumpling soup. The rich and wholesome scent of the noodles blended perfectly with the fresh vegetable aroma, and the golden egg liquid was evenly spread over the entire pot.

Jian Chengxi filled two bowls and said, “Don’t touch it, it’s hot.”

Li Suisui asked, “Aren’t you eating, Daddy?”

Jian Chengxi thought for a moment and said, “Daddy’s not hungry yet. You and your gege can eat first.”

Li Suisui lifted her little face. Her round, bright eyes looked at Jian Chengxi, and she said with a smile, “Is it because Father hasn’t come home, so you can’t eat?”

Jian Chengxi felt inexplicably shy, and he gave her a glare. “Go call your gege for dinner.”

Li Suisui nodded and ran back.

Jian Chengxi was actually very concerned about Li Chen’s leg. When he came back that evening, he went to Mirage’s place.

He found out it was just some excessive fatigue, and finally felt relieved.

After taking care of the two kids and finishing dinner, he helped them take a bath. While bathing, he noticed that Li Chen’s leg was a little swollen. It must have been painful, but the child kept enduring it without a hint of crying or fussing.

Jian Chengxi felt a deep pang in his heart and softly asked, “Does it hurt?”

Li Chen gently shook his head.

Jian Chengxi felt even more upset inside. Mirage had said that his child’s leg might not be healed, but today’s chili plant reference sparked his thoughts once again.

Western medicine doesn’t work, so let’s try traditional Chinese medicine.
