Chapter 65 – Parallel Extra 04: You’re Screwed, You’ve Bent
by Salted Fish
After Ye Zhou had arranged a hotel for Guan Heng, he returned to work in the afternoon. The moment Fang Ji saw Ye Zhou, he immediately asked, “How was it? Nothing happened, right?”
“I wouldn’t have anything happen to me.” Ye Zhou smiled and continued, “Guan Heng isn’t what you imagine him to be; he’s quite… quite gentlemanly. Besides, he’s more handsome than me, and his status speaks for itself. Why would he be after me?”
Indeed, Guan Heng was the type Ye Zhou admired, perhaps even an ideal role model for successful men. An Alpha doesn’t just focus on Omegas but also has a strong drive for their career.
Ye Zhou initially wanted to tell Fang Ji that he was temporarily staying at the same hotel as Guan Heng but decided against it, fearing his friend would worry too much. After all, he was only staying there for a few days. Once the contract was signed, Guan Heng would leave, and it wouldn’t matter then.
Seeing Ye Zhou still able to joke around, Fang Ji felt relieved. “Really that handsome?”
Ye Zhou answered without hesitation, “Handsome.”
Fang Ji nodded thoughtfully, deliberately putting on a serious expression, pointing at Ye Zhou. “You’re screwed, you’ve bent. How serious is it for an Alpha not to be narcissistic…”
Ye Zhou knew Fang Ji was just joking and laughed it off.
The biggest case Ye Zhou currently had was the prestigious major client, Guan Heng. He had pushed aside everything else, so it was rare for him to leave work on time. However, he didn’t relax after work. His home was a thirty-minute drive from the hotel, so he went back to pick up his charger and some clothes to change into, hastily ate dinner, and then drove to the hotel.
When Ye Zhou swiped his card to enter the room, Guan Heng wasn’t there, but his suitcase had already been delivered to the largest bedroom. This presidential suite was originally booked for Guan Heng, and there was no issue with him sleeping in the master bedroom. Unless necessary, Ye Zhou wouldn’t step foot into the room, avoiding accidentally seeing any business secrets that could invite criticism.
Ye Zhou took a quick glance around before turning into the guest bedroom, putting his clothes in the closet, and bringing his laptop to the living room near the floor-to-ceiling windows, starting to work.
He wasn’t staying to enjoy himself but to prepare thoroughly so he could report to Guan Heng at any time. He lost track of time while focused, until Guan Heng swiped his card to enter the room at ten o’clock in the evening.
The living room wasn’t messy, but the table was filled with computers and documents, along with coffee cups provided by the hotel, giving the otherwise empty and cold environment a lived-in feel. Guan Heng was slightly taken aback.
Ye Zhou immediately stood up. “You’re off work.”
It was fine outside, but privately, Guan Heng didn’t like Ye Zhou using formal titles with him. “How old are you?”
Ye Zhou paused. “Twenty-seven.”
“I’m thirty. I’m only three years older than you, and you’re not my subordinate. There’s no need to be so formal in private.”
Ye Zhou caught on. “Okay.”
Guan Heng really didn’t seem to consider Ye Zhou an outsider, taking off his jacket, loosening his tie, and unbuttoning the top button of his shirt. Men doing such actions were sexy, let alone Guan Heng, who was good-looking and had a figure under his suit that was beyond reproach. The thin shirt couldn’t hide the slightly bulging pectoral muscles.
Ye Zhou was surprised, not expecting Guan Heng to have such a great body, clearly well-trained.
Guan Heng was pleased with the gaze Ye Zhou cast upon him and intentionally moved closer. “Have you showered yet?”
“Not yet.” Ye Zhou couldn’t help but stare for a moment before looking away. He was somewhat nervous, but he didn’t expect Guan Heng to be so approachable and easy to get along with: “You… you’ve been busy all day, you should go first.”
“Alright.” Guan Heng didn’t refuse, his eyes subtly scanning Ye Zhou’s entire body. Ye Zhou was still wearing the suit from earlier in the day, but without the jacket, the white shirt tucked into his trousers made his slim waist and perky buttocks more noticeable. The top button of his shirt was open, and the sleeves rolled up to his forearms. From Guan Heng’s angle, he could see Ye Zhou’s exposed collarbone.
Guan Heng’s eyes darkened, and before entering the bathroom for a shower, he walked to the suit jacket hanging by the door and pulled out a handkerchief from the chest pocket.
The bathroom of a top-tier hotel suite was naturally luxurious, very spacious, with a grand bathtub perfect for soaking away the fatigue of the day.
However, Guan Heng wasn’t in the mood for a bath at the moment. After stripping off his clothes, he turned on the showerhead, letting the fine water droplets splash on the ground. He lifted the handkerchief to his nose and inhaled. As expected, there was a faint aroma of white wine, stirring deeper desires within him. He greedily sniffed Ye Zhou’s pheromone scent, quickly becoming aroused. Then, the handkerchief carrying Ye Zhou’s pheromone scent was gripped in Guan Heng’s hand, tracing over his sexy, firm chest muscles and eight-pack abs, finally reaching his lower abdomen, wrapping around the already erect penis…
The sound of water covered everything.
Guan Heng spent nearly an hour in the shower, and Ye Zhou figured he must have been soaking in the tub. During this time, he had finished organizing the materials and was ready to answer any questions Guan Heng might have. However, it was late, and he wasn’t sure if Guan Heng was willing to discuss business.
Just then, the bathroom door opened, and Guan Heng emerged in a white bathrobe, his forehead damp, the robe slightly parted at the chest, revealing the deep and sexy crease between his pecs.
Ye Zhou was taken aback, unsure where to look. If he were an Omega, he would surely assume Guan Heng was seducing him, but he was an Alpha. Alphas generally interacted more openly, so he didn’t think Guan Heng harbored any intentions toward him.
Guan Heng raised his hand to wipe his hair, the movement causing his chest muscles to ripple, inviting curiosity to peel off his clothes and explore further: “It’s late, are you going to shower?”
Ye Zhou glanced at the clock on the wall, realizing it was past eleven at night. He did indeed need to shower, with another busy day ahead tomorrow: “Alright.”
Even though Ye Zhou appreciated Guan Heng’s physique, he didn’t dare to fantasize. He went to the guest bedroom to fetch his pajamas and directly entered the bathroom.
After seeing Ye Zhou enter the bathroom, Guan Heng curled the corners of his lips. The place was now filled with his pheromone scent…
As soon as Ye Zhou stepped into the bathroom, he smelled a faint fragrance, akin to the scent of forest phytoncides, pleasant to the nose. He didn’t think much of it, assuming it was the shampoo or body wash. After all, even someone like Guan Heng wouldn’t be so blatant about releasing his pheromones when sharing a room with others.
But for reasons unknown, whether it was due to approaching his heat period or having worked for too long without relieving himself, the smell eventually stirred his emotions.
Halfway through his shower, Ye Zhou became erect.
It was common for men to take care of themselves while showering, but this wasn’t his own home, and Ye Zhou felt it was impolite to Guan Heng. But if he were to endure it, it was hard to say if he wouldn’t experience discomfort again. This collaboration was crucial, and if it affected his work…
Ye Zhou hesitated for a moment but ultimately closed his eyes and reached down. Normally, he didn’t think about anything when satisfying his desires, but at that moment, images of Guan Heng in the bathrobe, looking sexy, popped into his mind…
By the time Ye Zhou finished showering, it was almost midnight, with half the time spent opening the bathroom’s ventilation to bring in fresh air.
Although he was confident that no pheromones had leaked out, it still felt shameful to do such things in a shared bathroom… But Ye Zhou didn’t expect that after leaving the bathroom, Guan Heng hadn’t gone to bed but was still sitting on the sofa in his bathrobe, seemingly waiting for him.
Ye Zhou didn’t think Guan Heng was the type to seek someone to chat with for no reason, so he asked, “What’s wrong?”
Guan Heng, however, said, “Was the water too hot? Your face is a bit red.”
Ye Zhou was stunned, unable to confess what he had done in the bathroom: “…A little.”
“There is something I need to talk to you about,” Guan Heng scanned Ye Zhou’s pajamas, probably guessing what he had been doing in the bathroom, but his tone remained serious, as if discussing business, “I just received a call from the CEO of another trading company, something called Sheng…”
Ye Zhou became alert: “Is it Lisheng Trading?”
“It seems to be that name,” Guan Heng looked at Ye Zhou, “They offered pretty good conditions…”
Here it comes! Ye Zhou clenched his fists. The big piece of cake that was the Guan Consortium was indeed coveted by everyone. Lisheng had always been a bitter rival of Zhoujishi, and their methods were somewhat dirty, although they never left any evidence.
While Ye Zhou understood that such things were inevitable in the industry, he wouldn’t slander other companies without proof. The decision was ultimately in Guan Heng’s hands, and what he needed to do now was to keep him.
Ye Zhou walked toward the sofa, already back in work mode: “Vice President Guan, whatever conditions you want, our company will do its best to meet them.”
Guan Heng smiled faintly, his gaze lingering on Ye Zhou’s face. What he wanted most was something money couldn’t buy: “Then we’ll see how you perform.”
“What do you mean?”
“There’s a business cocktail party at their company tomorrow night. I want to hear both sides’ opinions before deciding who to cooperate with.”
Since it was fair competition, Ye Zhou wouldn’t admit defeat: “Alright.”
