[Local] Sugar-Free Cola: Did they clear it?

[Local] Duke Rum: Looks like it.

[Local] Blue Phoenix: No wonder they’re the top-ranked! Whether it’s the zombie’s “Solid as a Rock” or the healer’s post-death resurrection, they’re all god-tier skills!

[Local] Indian Mane: So here’s the question—is this how humans are supposed to take down a boss?!

[Local] Former Dynasty Scholar: Same thought. Absolutely no reference value here!! TAT

[Local] Two Elders of Beiming: Are we sure that was human vs. AI just now and not cock vs. cock?!

[Local] White Rhino: Please don’t make typos at such a crucial moment. It ruins the hype.

[Local] The Wind Rises: What I’m more curious about is why that phrase was the first in his input method’s suggestions =_=

[Local] Officer Big Bear: Can we please not derail the topic…

[Local] White Rhino: Sure, as long as you get that guy to loot the damn boss already! Holy shit, we’ve been waiting so long the flowers have wilted! Even if he’s not resurrecting the party members, at least move and loot the boss corpse—what the hell is he doing?!

[Local] Only One Truth: Probably too happy. Didn’t expect to actually kill the boss, still basking in the joy of it.

At the same time, in Ghost Server YY’s MadB’s Private Shack—

    “HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA~~~~~~~~~”

[Team] Don’t Stop the Meds: Does your Commander always act like this?

[Team] Refined Into a Demon 715: Yes, his emotions are always written all over his face!

[Team] Don’t Stop the Meds: But his demonic laughter has been going on for way too long.

[Team] Milk is Mom: He’s happy~~~

“Don’t pretend to be a bystander answering for yourself!!!”

Boss Yao’s roar finally snapped the Ghost Server Legion Leader back to reality, reminding him that aside from “basking in joy,” he also had the duty to “loot the spoils.” A boss this tough was bound to drop epic loot—maybe even more than one piece if luck was on their side. Fang Zheng’s heartbeat quickened as he got closer to the boss, already picturing the dazzling list of items that would appear with a double-click of his mouse and the intense competition of his teammates rolling for them!

Lost in his imagination, the little healer finally reached the boss!

Fang Zheng took a deep breath and double-clicked!

[System] Gilrugar: Those who covet my crown shall burn in hell!!

The eagerly awaiting teammates didn’t get a roll prompt—instead, they witnessed the boss resurrecting. They collectively took 10,000 points of emotional damage, but the Ghost Server Legion Leader scoffed at this—10,000 points just from watching?! Then have you considered how it feels for someone standing right in front of it?! Have you considered the emotions of a healer who just wanted to loot the boss’s corpse only to accidentally resurrect it?! And the psychological trauma of said healer being relentlessly chased by the resurrected boss with nowhere to hide, forced to flee outside the Royal Palace just to drop aggro?!

He could no longer enjoy the game happily TAT

Rain Ceases: “What the hell just happened? Did the boss glitch?”

X: “Glitching would mean it drops nothing and the corpse disappears. Never seen a boss resurrect after dying.”

Mocha: “But it’s clearly alive again and back on its throne.”

Little Willow: “So… do we have to fight it again?”

Thousand Mountains: “Sure, I just thought of another tactic…”

    Entire Party: “Shut up!”

Don’t Stop the Meds: “Ghost Server comrades, what do you think?”

The Ghost Server Legion Leader didn’t want to talk right now—he just wanted peace and quiet. So what Boss Yao received was the Deputy’s opinion: “This might… not actually be a boss.”

Don’t Stop the Meds frowned, thought for two seconds, then decisively opened the quest log. Sure enough, the current progress was still stuck at 59%. In other words, they had killed Gilrugar but still hadn’t completed the quest! The current quest was to “Obtain the Crown of the Emerald Kingdom’s King,” and the crown was right on Gilrugar’s head. If, as the zombie said, Gilrugar wasn’t a boss, then there was only one possibility left…

    ……

[Midnight, Huaxia Online Technical Monitoring Department]

“Xiao Li, still not off work?”

“Ah, boss, I’m reviewing footage of a bunch of desperados. Wanna join?”

“Nah, heh, you young folks know how to have fun—finding joy in work. No matter how much player PVP we old-timers watch, we can’t recapture that youthful passion and excitement… HOLY SHIT!!! REALLY?!”

    “Really.”

    “No hacks?”

    “All data is normal.”

“Players these days are getting scarier.”

    “Yep.”

    “And harder to understand.”

“Right? The fight was hype, but why were they so hell-bent on killing a quest NPC?”

    ……

Though they had a vague suspicion, the Dutch Ghosts didn’t want to admit that their all-night struggle had been for nothing—until Drink Till You Drop led his squad back to the boss’s location. Without any fighting, just a few lines of dialogue, the entire squad’s progress jumped to 60%, forcing them to accept reality.

Actually, completing this quest wasn’t hard. If they had thoroughly searched every corner of the palace, they would’ve found the Emerald Kingdom’s young prince hiding in a secluded spot, holding the queen’s crown. Bringing the queen’s crown to Gilrugar would summon the king’s crown, and without it, Gilrugar would lose all her powers and be defeated without a fight. The reason no one realized Gilrugar wasn’t meant to be fought was that the quest prompt said “Obtain the Crown of the Emerald Kingdom’s King,” not “Find the Emerald Kingdom’s Young Prince.” So naturally, when they saw Gilrugar wearing the crown, they assumed she was the boss and attacked immediately.

When Drink Till You Drop’s squad completed the quest, the onlookers were still confused. But after Iceborn and Silence also hit 60%, everyone understood—and breathed a sigh of relief. At least they wouldn’t have to replicate that inhuman battle strategy =_=

The Dutch Ghosts were the last of the first wave to complete the quest, not because the young prince was hard to find, but because they were emotionally scarred. Searching while clutching their chests in pain slowed them down TAT

With the crown’s help, the Stone Prince regained his human form. However, since the crown’s magic was limited, the prince couldn’t be exposed to sunlight or he’d turn back to stone. So the young prince offered his beloved crystal orb as a vessel for the Stone Prince, allowing the heroes to carry him around. He could be summoned for battles—like rescuing a damsel in distress—as long as there was no sunlight where the damsel was. The young prince also revealed crucial intel: he had once met the Azure Kingdom’s prince, who had blue hair.

By the time the “Visit the Azure Kingdom’s Prince” quest updated, it was already deep into the night.

The spectators had long dispersed. Drink Till You Drop, Iceborn, and the others logged off to rest, leaving the emotionally exhausted Dutch Ghosts to reflect on life’s absurdity through their respective leaders in the silent night—

Don’t Stop the Meds: “What the hell did we just spend all night doing…”

Fang Zheng: “It feels like we did a lot, yet also like we did nothing.”

Don’t Stop the Meds: “If only we’d realized earlier that it was a quest NPC and not a boss. The 20-player squad requirement misled us.”

Fang Zheng: “Yeah, I don’t see the point of a 20-player squad. Maybe we weren’t meant to team up in the first place.”

Don’t Stop the Meds: “You think so too?”

Fang Zheng: “I’ve thought so since you chased me around the Flagship PVP arena.”

Don’t Stop the Meds: “I chased you?! Clearly, it was…”

    Fang Zheng: “Was what?”

Don’t Stop the Meds: “I chased you =_=”

Fang Zheng: “Exactly. That’s the truth, so why repeat it? I suffered enough bullying from you.”

Don’t Stop the Meds: “Since you’re so unwilling, let’s part ways here.”

Fang Zheng: “Suits me just fine.”

Don’t Stop the Meds: “No more goodbyes.”

Fang Zheng: “May we never meet again.”

That night, after the Dutch Ghosts logged off, a post quietly appeared on the Huaxia Forum: [Live Footage! Team Effort to Defeat the 59% Quest NPC in Lover’s Constellation!]. Despite being posted in the dead of night, it quickly became a hot topic. By 7 AM the next morning, while the involved parties were still asleep, the post had been pinned by the moderators. Countless Huaxia night owls who watched the footage marveled at the insane skill, teamwork, and combat power on display. But more were left baffled—why the hell were they so determined to kill a quest NPC?! Some old-timers from Huaxia Summit who recognized Ghost Server Legion in the video simply sighed and replied, Nothing they do surprises me anymore ╮(╯_╰)╭

Where there are hot posts, there are cold ones. Where some get pinned, others sink instantly. While most Huaxia players were busy mocking the NPC-killing post, another new thread was quietly gaining traction—

Title: [Strongly Oppose Arranged Marriages! Anyone Else Agree?]

    Poster: Crimson River

Content: Though I respect the Commander’s absolute authority, is it really okay to forcibly bind us together when needed, then say “no more goodbyes” and “may we never meet again” when not?

Content: Who said it’s over? That was the healer talking, not us. These days, finding a full squad with at least some purple-tier gear isn’t easy. Even if we don’t team up, sharing info and helping each other progress is better than “no more goodbyes.” That’s just heartless.
