Chapter 47.1
by shae.Yan Mu bit down hard, leaving a clear tooth mark on the back of his hand and drawing blood at the corner of his mouth.
As an alpha, Yan Mu was influenced by pheromones and felt equally weak at this moment. He leaned against the wall, his breath carrying a hint of dampness.
Exasperated, Jiang Zhihuo raised Yan Mu’s bitten hand. “If you can’t control it, then bite me! Why are you biting yourself?”
Yan Mu lifted his hand and touched Jiang Zhihuo’s face, gently pressing his thumb against the corner of his lips. His gaze lingered on the lips that were slightly reddened from the kiss.
Yan Mu said, “I’m quite happy.”
“What’s there to be happy about?” Jiang Zhihuo couldn’t be bothered to respond to this overly vague gesture. His mind was filled with an indescribable emotion. “Is there something wrong with your brain?”
Saying that, he pulled Yan Mu toward the infirmary.
Yan Mu silently followed him.
Yan Mu himself couldn’t say what exactly he was happy about.
Perhaps it was because Jiang Zhihuo thought of him first when something happened, or maybe it was the angry and worried expression he had just shown. It could also be simply because he saw Jiang Zhihuo.
All these reasons converged into a single, overwhelming emotion of ‘happiness.’
Jiang Zhihuo walked briskly. To be honest, the wound was not that big; injuries from fights were often much worse. Yet, his anger and concern fueled his quickened pace.
Both were preoccupied with their emotions and failed to notice a figure quietly hiding around the corner.
During lunch break, the infirmary was unoccupied by any teachers. Jiang Zhihuo opened the door and walked in, instructing Yan Mu to sit down. He effortlessly located the iodine solution and gauze.
“Give me your hand.”
Yan Mu placed his hand on the corner of the table.
Jiang Zhihuo frowned slightly as he dipped a pair of tweezers in iodine solution. With extreme care, he applied it to the bitten area.
The iodine seeped into the wound, causing a sharp sting. Yan Mu’s face remained expressionless, but the muscles in his arm tensed slightly in response to the pain.
Jiang Zhihuo: “It’s hurt? Serves you right!”
As he applied the iodine, his brows furrowed even more. “How much strength did you use to bite!”
Yan Mu didn’t answer him; his gaze shifted from the hand holding him.
Jiang Zhihuo’s expression was focused; his eyes were still slightly red from the heat he had just experienced. With his gaze half-lowered, the cold white light above made his pupils appear lighter.
He remembered Jiang Zhihuo in the bar, just as focused when he worked, restraining his vibrant youthful spirit. Indifferent and composed, he resembled a wisp of thin smoke traveling alone in the clouds, always able to make people quiet down as well.
“This kind of wound is neither big nor small.” Jiang Zhihuo told Yan Mu about his experience with injuries from fighting. “It’s best not to get it wet; it will fester, heal slowly, and easily leave a scar.”
Yan Mu was absent-minded, and when Jiang Zhihuo didn’t get a response, he asked again, “Got it?”
Yan Mu nodded and asked, “Does it hurt when marking?”
He had wanted to ask this question as soon as he had bitten himself.
It really hurt; otherwise, he wouldn’t have regained his sanity.
But Yan Mu also knew very well that the force used in a real marking would be greater than the force he used to bite himself.
“Ah?” The topic had shifted a bit too quickly… and felt somewhat off?
Yan Mu gently stroked the faded tooth marks on the back of his neck and asked, “Does it hurt?”
Jiang Zhihuo seriously recalled the feeling of being marked back then.
More than three months had passed, and he hadn’t been very aware at that time, so there weren’t many feelings left in his memory. It didn’t seem to hurt that much; at most, it hurt a little the moment he was bitten, and then… It was quite refreshing.
Especially the moment the pheromones were injected, it was so refreshing that he wanted to continue.
Jiang Zhihuo felt his face grew warm with a flush of embarrassment.
Yan Mu: “?”
“Cough.” Jiang Zhihuo forced a serious expression. “No, it doesn’t hurt. Don’t ask.”
At that moment, someone knocked on the infirmary door. The boy outside called, “Is the teacher here?”
Jiang Zhihuo: “No.”
Then, the infirmary door opened, and a boy poked his head inside.
Jiang Zhihuo was facing away from the door and couldn’t see what the boy looked like, but Yan Mu had a clear view. He noticed that the boy was soft-looking, only over 1.7 meters tall, wearing a milk-white sweater and brown checkered trousers. His hair was naturally curly, fluffy, and adorable.
Jiang Zhihuo focused on applying iodine to Yan Mu, gently blowing on it to dry. He then took some gauze, ready to stick it on, and said, “The teacher isn’t here. The emergency medical supplies are in the left cabinet. You need to register to take them, and the form is hanging behind the door.”
“Okay.” He responded, but the boy didn’t move. Instead, he took a moment to recognize Jiang Zhihuo’s back and asked, “Zhi, Zhihuo-ge?”
Yan Mu: “!”
Zhihuo-ge?
Adding only one more word, why does it sound so ambiguous?
“Mhm?” Jiang Zhihuo turned his head, not having heard anyone call him that in a long time.
“Me, me, me!” The boy waved shyly and pointed at himself, his eyes full of expectation.
Jiang Zhihuo: “Zhu You?”
Zhu You nodded vigorously. “Yes, yes, it’s me!”
He ran over excitedly and stood next to Jiang Zhihuo, his eyes shining brightly. “Long time no see, Zhihuo-ge!”
“……” Yan Mu felt a twinge of jealousy at how he called Zhihuo–ge.“Do you guys know each other?”
“Junior school friend,” Jiang Zhihuo said as he tore off the medical tape from his hand, stuck it along the gauze, and gave it a light pat.
He looked at Zhu You; the two seemed to have a good relationship. “Where did you go afterward? Which school are you in now?”
Zhu You lowered his eyes and replied softly, “I dropped out of school for two years, and I’m only a freshman in senior high this year. When I looked back, I found that my classmates had all been preparing for the college entrance exam.”
Jiang Zhihuo: “Are you okay now?”
Zhu You’s eyes lit up again as he shook his head repeatedly. “I’m fine; I’m completely healed! Otherwise, the doctor wouldn’t let me come to school!”
Jiang Zhihuo smiled. “That’s good! Are you going out? What do you want to get?”
“Ah!” Zhu You exclaimed as he patted his head. He then went to the left cabinet to grab a medical kit and lay it at the door to register his name.
Jiang Zhihuo also put away the iodine and gauze, then noticed Zhu You’s curly hair, which looked quite cute.
He elbowed Yan Mu. “His hair is quite cute, right?”
Cu-te??
Yan Mu narrowed his eyes.
After Zhu You registered, the three walked out of the infirmary together. Perhaps because of the reunion after a long separation, Zhu You was in an excited state and kept talking non-stop along the way.
“I haven’t been staying at home all the time in the past two years. My mother took me to many places.”
“It’s said that walking around can help relax your mood, and it’s actually quite effective.”
“At first, I couldn’t feel happy, and I was still taking medicine, but slowly it got better. As I saw more things, my mood began to change.”
“I’m truly grateful to my mother. She accepted me before I could, and you, Zhihuo-ge, I’ve always wanted to say thank you.”
“I’ve always wanted to see you in the past two years, but I didn’t want to trouble you.”
Always, want, to see, you?!
Yan Mu: “!”
Jiang Zhihuo smiled.
Things happened back then. He was worried that Zhu You might try to commit suicide again, so he looked for him whenever he had the chance for a while. Then one day, Zhu You suddenly told him that he was going to drop out of school, and he never showed up the next day. That day, he also deleted all of Jiang Zhihuo’s contact information, leaving only a message: “Wait for me to get better and come back to you, Zhihuo-ge.” It was so silly that Jiang Zhihuo didn’t know whether to laugh or cry when he saw the message. But at least it showed that Zhu You had figured things out, which was much better than resisting treatment and being gloomy all day long.
Zhu You left for two years. To his surprise, he saw him again at the sports meet. Zhu You looked really good, radiant, cheerful, and sunny, and he had also become a junior.
Along the way, several girls greeted Zhu You. He held the medical kit in his arms and responded enthusiastically to each one. When he turned to meet Jiang Zhihuo’s smile, he lowered his head shyly again.
Yan Mu: “?”
As he was talking, Zhu You suddenly stopped speaking. His pace slowed down, and his body gradually stiffened.
He Xiezhou walked towards them, his face filled with malicious intent.
“Tsk.” Jiang Zhihuo grabbed Zhu You’s arm, pulled him to his side, and glared back fearlessly.
In just a brief moment of confrontation, the group brushed past each other.
Zhu You tried to calm down. While he knew he could adjust his psychological state, overcoming his past psychological shadows would be much more difficult.
Zhu You used the breathing method taught by the doctor, taking deep, even breaths. After feeling a bit better, he finally opened his mouth. “I’m fine.”
Jiang Zhihuo clenched his fist and said, “With me here, he won’t dare to do anything to you.”
“Mhm!” Zhu You raised his head, his eyes gradually curving down as he revealed a soft smile.
Originally, they planned to go to the participants’ main camps together. On the way, several support crews were moving mats and happened to pass by the sports field, calling out as they saw Jiang Zhihuo, “Huo-ge, Huo-ge! Lend a hand!”
Jiang Zhihuo had no problem agreeing to such a trivial matter. “Coming!” Before leaving, he turned to Yan Mu and said, “Yan-ge, you can take him with you.”
Yan Mu didn’t refuse, but his tone was indifferent. “Oh.”
Zhu You looked at Yan Mu and blinked.
“Um…” Jiang Zhihuo said again, “How about we grab a meal together after this?”
Zhu You also looked at Jiang Zhihuo, tilting his head.
Yan Mu’s expression softened slightly. “Okay.”
“Then I’ll go first!” He was quite happy after getting a meal appointment. Jiang Zhihuo chuckled as he ran towards the boys, his steps light and breezy.
Zhu You waved goodbye to him reluctantly, then turned to chat with Yan Mu.
“Classmate, classmate, you and Zhihuo-ge seem to have an excellent relationship!”
“Zhihuo-ge just bandaged you up; how did you hurt your hand?”
“How did you and Zhihuo-ge meet?”
“Zhihuo-ge was a super awesome person before!”
Zhihuo-ge, Zhihuo-ge, Zhihuo-ge…
Yan Mu felt the veins throbbing in his temples as he squinted at the talkative Zhu You. His casual glance was sharp, and a hint of irritation crept into his expression.
Zhu You fell silent for a moment and mimed zipping his lips shut.
So fierce…
“Wen Xin!” On the other side of the sports field, He Xiezhou passed a bottle of water to a girl dressed in form-fitting sportswear.
The girl named Wen Xin had an excellent figure and was quite tall. As a sports student training in sprinting, her calves were muscular yet well-defined. With her wheat-colored skin, she embodied a strength reminiscent of European and American women.
Girls who practiced sports were different from others. He Xiezhou liked this type of girl with a unique appearance and personality. He had been pursuing her for some time, trying to get closer, but he hadn’t confessed yet.
Wen Xin was warming up for the afternoon game. When she saw He Xiezhou, she exclaimed excitedly, “Did you get his contact information?!”
Even before the sports meet, Wen Xin had heard that there were two incredibly popular guys at No. 1 High School.
She visited the No. 1 High School forum and browsed through the posts. The forum was filled with candid photos of the two boys, who managed to look attractive from even the most unusual angles. Each one appeared like a model in a photo, with their unique brand of handsomeness. Wen Xin rated their looks a perfect score without hesitation, especially liking the one with the sunny, cheerful smile. It was simply her type!!
During this time, He Xiezhou often chatted with her. Wen Xin casually sent the photo of the school’s popular guy she likes to He Xiezhou: He’s super handsome! Ah, ah, ah! I like this type of boy so much!!!
He Xiezhou, who always caught her words, uncharacteristically sent a string of ellipses.
Wen Xin: ?
This reaction was too strange. Wen Xin asked: Do you know him?
He Xiezhou: ……
I know him, and I even have a grudge against him!
He was beaten up so badly that he had no choice but to transfer schools!
On the day of the sports meet, Wen Xin and He Xiezhou finished lunch together and headed to the sports field for some training. After changing clothes in the bathroom next to the sports field, she stepped outside and immediately spotted Jiang Zhihuo walking across the lawn.
Damn! The real person is more handsome than in the photo!!
Wen Xin immediately sprinted toward He Xiezhou at lightning speed and shook his shoulders excitedly. “It’s him, it’s him, it’s him, ah, ah, ah, ah!! He Xiezhou, you didn’t answer me last time. Do you know him? Oh my God, he’s so alpha! Is he really an alpha?!”
He Xiezhou’s face darkened instantly. Wen Xin, obsessed with the handsome guy’s face, didn’t notice and kept pleading, “Is it? Tell me!”
He Xiezhou’s face grew gloomy as he said stubbornly, gritting his teeth, “Yes, I know him. I knew him back in junior high school.”
“Ah, ah, ah!” Wen Xin let out a scream. “I want his contact information! Hurry, hurry!”
He Xiezhou: “I don’t have it.”
“Ah…” Wen Xin’s voice faltered for a moment, but soon she looked at He Xiezhou with hopeful eyes again. “Then help me ask since you two know each other…”
He Xiezhou: “…….”
Seeing this reaction, she knew He Xiezhou had agreed! She nudged him gently. “Go ahead, I’ll wait here! But if you don’t get it, don’t come back to me!”
He Xiezhou: “……”
F*ck!
He Xiezhou kicked the lawn hard, burning with anger.
He clearly liked Wen Xin, but Wen Xin only wanted Jiang Zhihuo’s contact information! Do you know what kind of person Jiang Zhihuo is? She wanted his details purely based on his looks!
He Xiezhou walked towards the equipment room.
As soon as he got nearby, he saw a boy jump down from the stairs and hurriedly knock on the door of the equipment room.
“Jiang Zhihuo! It’s me, open the door!”
He Xiezhou’s first reaction was that something had happened, and it was Jiang Zhihuo who had the accident. He laughed coldly in his heart.
The next moment, he saw the door suddenly being pulled open. A hand reached out from inside, grabbing the boy and pulling him into the room.
With just a quick glance, He Xiezhou felt that something was off about those two people.
He didn’t knock on the door, nor did he leave, but walked around and found a window.
The equipment room’s window was blocked by a shelf and rarely ever opened. Its glass was coated with a thick layer of dust.
He Xiezhou leaned close to the glass. As a beta, he couldn’t smell pheromones, but he clearly saw the two boys in the equipment room clinging to each other like animals rubbing their fur together, kissing passionately, and unable to separate.
He Xiezhou took out his phone.
Unfortunately, his angle wasn’t very good, so he could only make out two blurry shadows.
Homosexual, Jiang Zhihuo…
He Xiezhou snorted coldly and just as he put down his phone, he saw the boy who had rushed over bend down, take a syringe from the bag, and inject it into the back of Jiang Zhihuo’s neck.
He Xiezhou: “!!!”
Look what he saw!
He hadn’t expected to see this at all and quickly covered his mouth, barely holding back a laugh.
What else could the syringe injected in the back of the neck be? It can only be an inhibitor!!!
Jiang Zhihuo is actually an omega?
HAHAHAHAHA!!
At that moment, He Xiezhou knew exactly what he had to do.
Back then, Jiang Zhihuo had forced him to transfer schools, making him and his dad leave together. Now, he wanted Jiang Zhihuo to experience what it felt like to be the one targeted by everyone!
“Hey, He Xiezhou, did you get the contact information?” Wen Xin asked, feeling puzzled as she looked at He Xiezhou’s smirking face.
“No.” He Xiezhou said, “He can’t possibly like you.”
“Damn,” Wen Xin said with irritation. “How can you talk like that?”
“Telling the truth,” He Xiezhou shrugged. “That guy, Jiang Zhihuo, is gay. He likes men. I just saw him walking with his ex-boyfriend.”
That sentence was packed with information, and Wen Xin couldn’t help but widen her eyes in surprise. “Gay? Ex-boyfriend???”
The afternoon events were shot put, javelin, and the 200-meter dash.
Jiang Zhihuo was familiar with the PE teacher. He played basketball most fiercely and occasionally went one-on-one with the teacher. The PE teacher, acting as referee, noticed Jiang Zhihuo bouncing around the sports field, grabbed him, took him to the shot put field, and handed him a roll of measuring tape.
The PE teacher’s move made the shot put competition the most watched by students in the afternoon.
Numerous new posts popped up on the No. 1 High School forum again.
[Ah, ah, ah, my god, the boy measuring the distance in No. 1 High School is so handsome!!]
Original Post: Why hasn’t such a handsome boy debuted yet! Pick U 101 is about to start filming. There’s still time for this guy to sign up, ahhhhh!!
Give me his contact information, please! I want to confess; I’m confessing!! Does anyone have his contact info??
