Even though they had long since registered their marriage and had now completed the ceremony too, Muheon couldn’t help but wonder—why did Hakyung still seem so young and adorably small?

With eyes dripping with sweetness, Muheon gazed at him like he was the most lovable being in the world. The intense heat in those black eyes made Hakyung’s cheeks flush red.

“H-Honey, come on… do you really like me that much? You’re gonna burn a hole through me.”

    “I do. I love you.”

The answer came without a second of hesitation. Hearing Muheon’s unwavering affection again, Hakyung’s lips twitched upward.

He quickly looked around to check for onlookers—then lunged forward and kissed Muheon full on the lips. Muheon, of course, welcomed the kiss from his river dolphin husband without resistance.

Their lips stayed locked, seemingly glued together, until they were interrupted by the loud voices of the Huang siblings.

“Oh my, look over there! Public indecency!”

With an unfazed expression, Huang Ying pointed dramatically. Next to her, Huang Lin also snickered as he gestured toward the couple.

Even lost in their kiss, Hakyung’s ears still worked just fine. Smacking his lips in frustration, he reluctantly pulled away from Muheon’s arms.

His pouty cheeks showed just how annoyed he was that the kiss had ended early. Muheon gently smoothed one of them as if to soothe him, then turned a glare on Huang Lin and Huang Ying. His face clearly said he wasn’t pleased.

“What do you want? If you’re done eating, leave already.”

The blunt tone, overflowing with irritation, made the siblings squint in disbelief.

They were the ones who had helped organize the wedding and even prepared the rings. Did they really deserve this kind of treatment? But then again, imugis weren’t exactly known for their pleasant personalities—offense didn’t last long with them.

The two explained, at length, that they were just stopping by to say goodbye before heading off.

“You’re heading straight back to China?”

“We have to. We’re busy imugis, you know.”

“Of course! You’re running a huge hotel, and I heard your entertainment business is really big too! Oh—right! I looked up your brand, Huang Ying, and it’s seriously famous…! Thank you so much for helping us with the wedding and even coming in person!”

With Muheon giving them nothing but indifference, Hakyung took over the conversation from his place clinging to Muheon’s side.

He offered his sincerest thanks to both Huang Lin and Huang Ying.

Even if he hadn’t married Muheon in such a grand way, Hakyung wouldn’t have minded. But having a beautiful ceremony like this, being surrounded by the love and warm wishes of family and friends—it filled him with emotion he couldn’t quite express.

Maybe that’s why everyone went all out for weddings—because it really might be a once-in-a-lifetime event.

The siblings looked at Hakyung’s constantly moving lips with a fond expression. With his pink hair and soft aura, he really did resemble a puff of cotton candy.

As Hakyung continued to express his gratitude, he gave a slightly awkward smile in response to the gentle looks the two gave him. It reminded him too much of how his grandmother looked at him.

“Oh, right—did I ever explain the gemstones properly?”

“I think you told me when you first showed them to me…”

Hakyung answered hesitantly. Truthfully, he’d been so dazzled by the gems’ beauty—and so overwhelmed by the flood of information—that he hadn’t been able to match each stone to its effect.

Seeing how uncertain Hakyung looked, Huang Ying turned her gaze to Muheon. He merely shrugged, clearly no help.

This was the first time anyone had shown such little attention to the gemstones she had so painstakingly crafted. Rubbing her temple in exasperation, Huang Ying sighed.

“Good thing I brought this, just in case.”

She handed them a booklet that looked like a high-end pamphlet. The paper was so luxurious that Hakyung felt like he should wash his hands before even touching it.

While Hakyung accepted it with reverent gratitude, Muheon flipped through it with the enthusiasm of someone skimming junk mail. At the stark contrast between their reactions, Huang Ying gave up on Muheon entirely and turned her attention back to Hakyung.

As he vaguely remembered, the pink gemstone represented love and affection, while the black one symbolized strength and capability.

“See? It’s nothing too hard. As long as you keep it close, the effects will gradually show.”

“So that means I shouldn’t take the ring off, right?”

Hakyung fiddled with the ring on his finger, eyes sparkling.

    “Exactly. You got it.”

    “Yes!”

Hakyung nodded vigorously, promising again not to take it off. Just as Huang Ying was about to reward his cuteness by patting his head, Muheon—who’d been silently watching—suddenly reached out and swatted her arm away.

    Smack. Her hand stopped midair.

Everyone’s expression turned blank with disbelief. Huang Ying, who had been about to praise him, and Hakyung, who had been about to receive it, both blinked in confusion.

    “Don’t touch him.”

“…Huh? What the hell? I wasn’t gonna pat him all day! Just for a second! He’s not gonna wear out if I touch him, is he?!”

    “He will. Now go.”

With zero effort to hide his annoyance, Muheon shooed them off like he was waving away fruit flies. Huang Ying’s face flushed red with frustration at being dismissed so suddenly.

Seizing the moment, Huang Lin laughed boisterously as he tugged Huang Ying along.

“If you ever want to set the mood again, come by the hotel! Just give your name—they’ll have everything ready for you!”

    “Oh, thank you so much!”

As the siblings vanished as silently as they had arrived, Hakyung finally relaxed his tense shoulders. Then he leaned in and whispered to Muheon’s ear.

“I didn’t get a chance to ask Huang Ying earlier, but… you know, my grandma once bought this germanium bracelet and a jade mat. This is kind of like that, right?”

    “…What?”

“She said when she wore the bracelet, it gave off good energy and all her aches disappeared.”

Hakyung elaborated, recalling the mountain of items Grandma had brought home from the market years ago.

Listening carefully, Muheon let out a soft laugh. If Huang Ying had heard that, it definitely would’ve made for a memorable scene.

    “Well… I’d say it’s a bit better than a germanium bracelet.”

“Of course it is! I’ve got eyes, you know!”

Hakyung bounced a little on his feet as he admired the pink gemstone glinting on his hand. No matter how many times he looked at it, it was still dazzling. The ring on Muheon’s hand, too, was just as beautiful.

Sharing the most special rings in the world made his heart feel full to bursting.

Together, they checked through the rest of the booklet carefully, then returned to the reception hall. Guests with satisfied faces and full stomachs began approaching Muheon and Hakyung to say their goodbyes.

“We’ll be heading off now! Muheon, enjoy your honeymoon! You too, Hakyung!”

“Don’t worry about the office. I’m an Excel master now.”

As Hakyung answered each guest sincerely, his family, now ready to leave, came over as well.

    “Oppa, we’re heading out now.”

    “Already?”

“We have to. If we stay longer, we’ll get home too late.”

Hakyung looked disappointed at Hawon’s reply, and seeing his face, the younger siblings also began to sulk. Grandma stepped forward and gave Hakyung’s back a firm slap as she launched into her usual scolding.

“You’re acting like you’ll never see them again! What’s with the long face on such a happy day! That husband of yours brought us in a fancy car—it was smooth as butter, so don’t go worrying!”

“I know, but still… it’s hard to say goodbye.”

Reduced from groom to pouting brat in a second, Hakyung clung to Grandma’s hand and whined. Muheon, standing beside him, was the only one worried that his back might be sore from the slap.

Hakyung ended up spending more time seeing off his family than he had during the wedding itself. Muheon did his best to support him, using every ounce of social charm to reassure the anxious younger siblings.

Thanks to Muheon’s efforts, they finally left with much lighter hearts. And Hakyung looked far better than he had a little while ago.

“We should probably head out too.”

“Yeah! Should we get changed first?”

Tugging at the collar of his shirt, Hakyung fidgeted to ease the discomfort. Muheon gently stopped him and undid the buttons himself.

The care in Muheon’s fingers—as if afraid even a nail might scratch him—sent a ticklish warmth through Hakyung’s whole body.

“You know… I’ve said this before, but for a river dolphin, I’m actually pretty tall and broad, right?”

“Mm. I know. Kang Hakyung is tall and handsome.”

“But whenever you take care of me like this, it makes me feel like I’m soft, delicate, and precious.”

Resting his forehead against Muheon’s broad chest, Hakyung gave a bashful smile. Muheon, stroking his collar, hesitated—worried that Hakyung might actually dislike being treated that way.

He lowered his hand and gently combed through Hakyung’s pink hair as he asked,

“So… do you not like it?”

“No. I didn’t realize it before, but… I really love it.”

And as Hakyung rubbed against him even more, practically begging for affection, Muheon couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
