In the starfields once inhabited by humankind, an ancient civilization once existed. All of its technology was bizarre, almost magical; many people believe it was a supernatural kingdom.
Retired agent Wei An is living in seclusion on a remote planet when he stumbles upon a conspiracy brewing there. He never intended to get involved, but a few years ago, he accidentally acquired a contract disk from the Ministry of Superstition, which brought him a monster with formidable destructive power—Gui Ling.
This creature, mysteriously linked to the contract disk, comes knocking at Wei An’s door, and now he must figure out how to fit it into his otherwise ordinary life.
*Pseudo-science fiction, to the point that it’s basically fantasy. Although it’s called interstellar, the story takes place on a single planet. It’s about the retired life of a fugitive, occasionally solving cases, and if anything unexpected happens, it should be versatile.
