Dohee blinked dumbly at the green whisper message in the chat. He was the one who’d told the guy to whisper when he logged in, yet he hadn’t really expected him to do it.

Sure, he’d offered help, but the guy had even refused simple gear materials, Dohee figured he might just stubbornly go it alone, not wanting to feel indebted.

They hadn’t even logged in at the same time for the past few days, so he’d assumed the guy might’ve just forgotten. But here he was, whispering for real. Some small part of Dohee felt… unexpectedly proud?

How much had they even talked for this guy to be spilling his personal info like this? Dohee frowned unconsciously, then smoothed it away.

Dohee, now relocated to the hunting field 1 near Ladenska for his daily “Dawn Rose” gathering quest, replied:

And naturally, the knockoff didn’t doubt him one bit.

[Whisper to GOingSupporter187]: Also, I looked at your gear last time, you’re using weird stuff

[Whisper to GOingSupporter187]: You’re supposed to upgrade your gear every 5 levels. You know that? You should be in full level 15 gear by now

Dohee searched the guy’s location:

[System] GOingSupporter187 is in Ladenska Outer Hunting Field 2.

He moved naturally from Field 1 to Field 2. A whisper came in.

[Whisper] GOingSupporter187: Oh, yeah, I know that! I saw a beginner’s guide recently or something and it said that!

So he had picked up some scraps of info somewhere. Wondering if the guy was seriously still doing the rabbit quest, Dohee headed toward a rabbit-packed zone and quickly spotted his character.

Still with the rabbits? Or just grinding for XP? He clicked the character from a distance to check the info. Level 20 already. Seemed like he’d been questing and grinding hard. But at level 20, wolves in the central field gave way more XP than rabbits.

And didn’t he say he’d read up? Why was he still mixing in level 10 gear? He should be in all 15 at the very least. Dohee rubbed his temple. This was a mess.

Where the hell do I even start with this guy?

[Whisper] GOingSupporter187: Uh… me!?

Unbelievable. Sword of God had over 60 daily quests total. The number unlocked increased with level, 10 available up to level 20, 30 at level 50, and so on. You just needed to choose any 3 and complete them. Easy.

Daily quests gave decent XP and rewards, so real adventurers never skipped them.

But of all the options he could’ve picked, this guy went with “rabbit hides.”

Rabbit hides? Daimon Powder? Even low-level players avoided that one. The XP sucked, and the reward, 10 packs of Daimon Powder, was a dime-a-dozen crafting mat sold for 20 silver per 100 on the player market. So who the hell even does that quest?!

Korean players, naturally efficient, had entire tier lists for daily quest value.

“Dawn Rose gathering,” which Dohee did every day, was a top pick.

For god’s sake, value your time!

[Whisper to GOingSupporter187]: Seriously, it’s so inefficient. You’re not supposed to do that one

God help him. This newbie was helpless. Dohee sighed. He was too clueless to even ghost.

[Whisper to GOingSupporter187]: At your level, you should do Dawn Rose gathering, wolf pelt collecting, and Fairy’s Springwater

[Whisper to GOingSupporter187]: Those three have the best rewards until level 80

[Whisper to GOingSupporter187]: And if you finish the Springwater quest 50 times, you get a bonus gold reward, so it’s a must-do

[Whisper to GOingSupporter187]: Don’t touch anything else. Just rotate those three until you hit 80

Dohee moved beside the guy’s idle character in the middle of the hunting field and waited. He was probably backtracking through the daily list to pick the right ones. A sudden unease crept in. No way he’s manually scrolling through the full list, is he…?

[Whisper to GOingSupporter187]: There’s a search function in the quest menu

[Whisper] GOingSupporter187: Whoa

Yeah. He didn’t know. Of course he didn’t.

[Whisper] GOingSupporter187: I changed them all and accepted them!

His character did a joy emote, flailing wildly. Dohee wasn’t sure whether to feel proud or facepalm.

[Whisper to GOingSupporter187]: Good job

Gotta praise him first. Praise makes whales dance, maybe it could make a newbie dance too. With that in mind, Dohee plucked a Dawn Rose out of the ground. And right as he did, another message popped up:

Dohee burst out laughing aloud. Unbelievable. You name yourself like a GoingSupport knockoff, then don’t want to be called one?

As the question was asked, the newbie’s character suddenly froze in place mid-gathering.

A moment later, he started shuffling nervously in place. Probably didn’t know how to answer and was aimlessly clicking around.

The jerky robot-like movement was hilarious. Dohee waited patiently.

[Whisper] GOingSupporter187: Uh… I don’t know… but not “Knockoff” ㅠㅡㅠ anything else…?

Timid and indecisive, but stubborn all the same. Dohee, surprisingly, decided to actually think about it.

He stared at the silly name floating above the newbie’s character: GOingSupporter187.

Then he placed his hands back on the keyboard.
