Dohee let out a thoughtless sigh, only to realize afterward that he was grinning.

Well, who wouldn’t like being called the best in the world? If there’s someone out there who doesn’t, step forward. Compliments make whales dance, make newbies dance, why wouldn’t they make an old veteran at max level want to dance too? Feeling good was only natural.

[Party] AssaGo: What’s so great about them?

[Party] AssaGo: I mean, there’s tons of max-level Supports out there. Why GoSupp specifically?

It was a question asked out of pure curiosity. From the nickname, to how they first met, to everything up until now, Dohee understood that this newbie liked GoingSupporter, even started playing Support because of them. But still, of all the Supports out there, why that one? It’s not like GoSupp was the only max-level character around.

Dohee finally let out a laugh.

Oh please, kid. Do you even know how much that thing costs?

The Spring Dream avatar set was a limited edition from two years ago and practically impossible to get at market price now. Occasionally, someone would list it in the player market, but with all the premiums attached, it could run you over a million gold, maybe. It was one of those absurdly expensive avatars.

For a newbie barely scraping together 50,000 gold, it was a dream that might as well be a castle in the sky.

Still, instead of shattering that dream, Dohee chose mischief.

[Party] AssaGo: Yeah, I’ve got it

[Party] GOingSupporter187: Gasp… really!?

[Party] AssaGo: Jealous, huh

It wasn’t something you just got out of nowhere, but technically it wasn’t a lie either.

Once you hit level 150 or so, a million gold feels like pocket change. So saying you can buy it once you’re max level isn’t totally untrue.

And the fact that this kid even knew Spring Dream was GoingSupporter’s favorite avatar meant they’d probably watched a ton of Dohee’s videos.

But then… how could someone who’s watched that many of his videos be this clueless about the game?

Dohee scrolled through his own upload list in his head, but eventually smacked his lips.

“Yeah… most of them are raid videos.”

To someone like this clueless newbie, most of those would’ve been impossible to understand.

They probably only watched the ones about avatars, dyeing, or hunting content.

Which would explain why they’re such a massive noob when it comes to the rest of Sword of God.

The newbie, who’d just been excitedly rambling about the Spring Dream avatar, quietly lifted their pickaxe off the ground.

They looked pretty deflated.

Watching them swing that dingy old wooden pickaxe, dark and worn, totally unlike AssaGo’s golden one, Dohee burst out laughing again.

At this point, everything the kid did was funny.

You could call it… a force of nature.

[Party] AssaGo: Hey, even if it’s not something crazy expensive like Spring Dream

[Party] AssaGo: There’s tons of avatars in the shop. Why are you still running around in default gear?

[Party] AssaGo: Default gear design is godawful lol

Dohee genuinely couldn’t believe it. There were plenty of godawful avatar sets in the cash shop. Sure, new sets got released once or twice a month, but very few of them were actually worth it. At best, things like the Winter Cotton Candy Set, Dawn Celebration Set, or Spring Picnic Set were the most neutral and popular among the gold-purchasable ones.

But seriously? Ninety percent of those cash shop avatars were absolute garbage, how could he say all of them looked good? Does this kid not have eyes?

[Party] GOingSupporter187: I looked through them before and the jeans avatar was cute, and the hoodie was cute too…

Reciting off-the-shelf, outdated avatar sets like they were collector’s items… that’s a skill in itself. Dohee blinked slowly. This guy seriously… might have no fashion sense whatsoever.

Oops. Maybe that was a bit harsh. Before Dohee could regret his fingers moving faster than his filter, the newbie replied:

And suddenly, Dohee remembered a part-timer he saw at an internet cafe recently. Just thinking about it made him sigh.

That guy had been wearing a green and white plaid flannel shirt with washed mid-blue jeans that were about ten years out of fashion.

His face looked like it could put most actors to shame, but that outfit probably had dozens of people groaning in secondhand embarrassment.

Still, when you look that good, who even cares if you can’t dress?

While Dohee was still chewing over the memory of that internet cafe night-shift worker, more messages popped up from the newbie.

[Party] GOingSupporter187: Oh, and in summer I really like plain white or black t-shirts!

[Party] GOingSupporter187: Do they have avatars like that in the game too!? Just plain ones with no logos or patterns!

[Party] GOingSupporter187: I like how they go well with anything… ㅎㅅㅎ

Okay, fair.

Plain black or white tees do go with everything, and they’re always a solid choice.

Dohee nodded and was halfway through typing “There are avatars like that in Sword of God too” when the next line hit him and made him blink in disbelief:

Dohee deleted what he was typing, then slowly started again.
