He didn’t know if it could block a wipe, since he’d never tried it. But a certain skill from a particular class instantly came to mind.

There was a Support skill called “Batienjine.”

The name came from combining the initials of the five Support summons, Bayan, Lumitien, Enk, Jiun, and Condine.

When used, the skill granted a 2-second invincibility shield to all party members.

If it had lasted longer, it would’ve been a god-tier support skill.

But because it lasted only two seconds and ate up a massive chunk of mana, most Support players chose to rotate lightweight shield or buff skills instead.

That made it easier for DPS to do damage without interruption.

As a result, this almost-ultimate skill, earned after finishing a hidden questline over 12+ hours, became infamous among Supports for being a total waste.

People even submitted formal complaints about it to NGA. Dohee himself had nearly forgotten it existed.

After using Batienjine, the player would immediately enter a kind of 30-second cooldown hell:

Mana dropped to zero, all skills locked, and they’d have no way to use any skills during that time, not even buffs or light shields to protect themselves.

Mana only began to recover after the 30 seconds were up, and the skill bar would be locked until then. In other words, it was a high-tier piece of trash.

But if the Demon Hunter’s AoE really was a wipe skill that needed a special item or ability to survive, this might actually be the perfect tool.

First, the top priority is surviving and seeing the next pattern, cooldown hell or not. Second, everyone in the party is high-level and experienced, so as long as the healer lives, they’ll manage for 30 seconds. Third, if timed right, that 2-second invincibility could guarantee survival.
