I was just randomly checking the ranking page for the first time in a while, typed in GoSupp-hyung out of habit, and nearly passed out;;

He’s back in Human guild!? Didn’t he just stick that tag on for a bit when he first made the guild and then pull out right away?? I seriously rubbed my eyes like a maniac today, couldn’t believe it ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

What’s going on…? I mean, I knew he hadn’t totally quit since he’s been keeping up his rank…

But seeing him like this, back in full force with the guild tag and all… man… fck…ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

It was a lazy weekend morning. After a night of nonstop grinding on Moonhyuk’s character, he had leveled up once, hitting 126. 130 wasn’t far off. At this pace, the entry requirement would be a breeze.

Dohee had woken up early, but getting out of bed was a chore. He lay there buried in his soft bedding for a long time.

This was how things were lately, oscillating quickly between apathy and excitement. Every moment spent with Moonhyuk was fun, refreshing, and interesting. But the moments without him–when they weren’t in touch, or Moonhyuk was busy – were unbearably dull.

He didn’t know when it happened, but he’d gotten so used to Moonhyuk. Even though he knew one-sided attachment was dangerous, Dohee couldn’t pull himself out of it. To be honest, he didn’t really want to.

While he blinked up at the ceiling, buried in his comforter, his phone buzzed. Dohee quickly grabbed it, then frowned. It wasn’t Moonhyuk. It was Cha Jinhee.

Jinhee wasn’t the type to call for no reason, so even though he didn’t really feel like it, he picked up. He clearly had something to say.

“Yeah.”

— “Baek Dohee!”

“Mm.”

— “You’re doing the Demon Hunter first clear, right?”

Damn, this guy was fast with news. Dohee clicked his tongue silently. Jinhee was always the first to know everything.

“How are you so quick? I don’t think I told anyone. Did Yeohoo tell you?”

— “If Baek Yeohoo had told me, I wouldn’t be salty about it. You were all over the stream chat earlier. People kept asking me if I was coming back too, if we were gonna play together. Said you rejoined the Human guild. If something big like that’s happening, can’t you tell me yourself? Huh? Don’t make your hyung feel left out.”

“It’s not that big of a deal. You quit SoGod anyway.”

— “Still better to hear it from you than from randos online.”

“Well…”

— “So? Is it for real? You’re aiming for first clear?”

“I’m not doing first clear. I’m trying for it. Technically speaking.”

— “Same thing. What’s up with this sudden turn? Weren’t you acting like you were gonna quit any day now?”

“It just… kinda turned out that way.”

— “That’s the magic phrase right there. ‘It just happened.’”

Dohee raised his eyebrows out of habit. Jinhee wouldn’t see it, but whatever.

— “Hey, Dohee.”

Jinhee’s voice dropped a little. It was unusually serious, so Dohee took a beat to respond.

“…Yeah?”

— “Now that things are like this, why not try streaming again? Ever thought about it?”

“….”

This time, he really couldn’t answer right away. Jinhee had hinted at this before too, guess he still hadn’t given up on the idea. Then again, the one who hadn’t given it up the most was Baek Dohee himself.

“I don’t know.”

That was the answer that came out. He heard Jinhee sigh faintly on the other end.

— “What about the first clear? Think you can do it? How’s the raid team?”

“That… we’ll have to see. It’s not like I’m undergeared or anything, but… luck plays a part, and no one’s cracked the mechanics yet. First clear might go to some random team, not Xeno or ours…”

His voice slowed. A wave of fatigue hit him suddenly. As Dohee blinked, Jinhee spoke again.

— “You know people are really paying attention to you right now, right?”

“Well…”

— “It’s your first real first-clear challenge with GoSupp since Hana, so people are seriously hyped. I still get tons of viewers asking every stream if GoingSupporter’s back, and if you’re ever gonna stream again. Have you checked your emails? Comments? DMs? Bet they’re piled sky-high.”

“….”

— “More people are waiting on your stream than you think. Why not just close your eyes and give it a shot?”
