MFW 9
by Soothing JellyReturning to the living room from the balcony, Li Fei asked Fu Siting, “What do you want for dinner?”
He opened the food delivery app as he asked.
Pizza, pasta, fried chicken—after all, this was a foreign country, so that was about all they could order. Li Fei glanced at Fu Siting’s blank expression as he struggled to choose, trying to suppress a smile.
“Looks like Fu Xiaoting’s dislike of white food hasn’t changed.”
He swiped his long finger, finally squinting as he selected a Sichuan restaurant hidden among countless Western options.
This Sichuan restaurant was actually quite inauthentic; the menu was filled with famous but pseudo-Chinese dishes like General Tso’s Chicken, chop suey, and sweet and sour duck, but, sixteen-year-old Fu Siting didn’t mind.
Li Fei could see from his trying-to-remain calm but obviously brightened eyes that he was quite satisfied with the menu.
“You order.”
“…”
After pretending to order two not-too-expensive stir-fries, Fu Siting mustered the courage to order the most expensive dish: braised pork.
Ninety US dollars, a sky-high price, six or seven hundred yuan.
But he genuinely wanted to eat meat.
His craving for food ultimately triumphed over his pride. Sixteen-year-old Fu Siting was at the age where he was growing rapidly, yet he was so poor that he rarely ate large pieces of meat. He knew he shouldn’t waste money, but… with Li Fei’s financial resources twelve years later, he should be able to afford it once or twice, right?
Half an hour later, the braised pork arrived, and Fu Siting wolfed it down, not wasting a single bite.
The way he ate it stunned Li Fei: “Be careful. You haven’t eaten much for a week, and you can’t eat so much oily food.”
Hearing this, Fu Siting stopped eating and looked up.
He hadn’t shown any particular expression since losing his memory. But at least at this moment, Li Fei found him unusually pitiful.
That expression made Li Fei regret only giving him a cup of coffee after entering the house.
If he had known he was so hungry, he would have fed him something better.
Why didn’t he say anything even though he was hungry?
“Okay, okay, you can eat. Eat slowly.”
“If you like it, we can have it tomorrow, and the day after. Don’t be in such a hurry.”
“…”
Li Fei himself always ate politely, chewing slowly and carefully.
After being told to eat slowly, Fu Siting also tried his best to slow down, eating one bite at a time.
Actually, Li Fei had noticed before that whenever Fu Siting ate something he particularly liked, he would look a little like a cat.
He found it hard to describe that expression, but his eyes would unconsciously widen and then squint, which was very cute.
Li Fei had been wondering when he had developed this look.
It turned out that he had been like this since high school.
…
After eating, Li Fei took him to wash up.
This time, Fu Siting walked through the corridor and silently counted again. He still felt that he had counted at least seven bathrooms.
But, it didn’t make sense.
Anyway, Li Fei led him into one of them, and Fu Siting had never seen such a large marble sink and such a shiny high-definition smart mirror surrounded by a ring of small lights.
He recalled his rented room, costing only three hundred yuan a month. The sink was extremely damp and cramped, and the mirror was old, twisted, and rough. The person reflected in that mirror was somewhat distorted.
So much so that he could hardly believe the handsome and gentle face reflected in the mirror before him.
It looked like it had been filtered, fake.
On the sink, his and Li Fei’s wash cups were actually a couple’s set… two black and white dogs cuddling.
Their toothbrushes were also one black and one white.
While he was still in a daze, Li Fei had already leisurely changed his clothes and washed his face: “Why are you looking at me? Aren’t you washing up too?”
“…”
Fu Siting nodded, but still didn’t move.
He couldn’t move, his gaze fixed on Li Fei’s newly changed bathrobe.
He couldn’t quite tell what the bathrobe was made of; judging from the sheen, it seemed to be silk, but anyway… it was long, silver-gray, tied only at the waist with a belt.
Li Fei hadn’t tied it tightly, so much so that a large expanse of his collarbone was exposed under the light.
The person whose collarbone was exposed seemed completely unaware, and with his face still damp from washing and his hair disheveled, he went to brush his teeth.
The electric toothbrush buzzed, and a trace of toothpaste foam clung to Li Fei’s lips. This was something you would never see on screen.
“…”
After a long while, Fu Siting finally came to his senses and went to get his own toothbrush. He even knocked over the dog-shaped cup.
…
After washing up, Li Fei asked him, “Are you sleeping with me tonight, or by yourself?”
Fu Siting didn’t answer.
He felt like he couldn’t understand Chinese at all.
Seeing this, Li Fei nodded and took him to the plush toy room first.
The plush toy room, as the name suggests, was filled with all sorts of plush bears, plush rabbits, plush fish, plush dinosaurs, plush cacti, plush apples, plush broccoli, plush baguettes, and so on.
From the floor to the shelves, from the windowsill to the bed, all kinds of dolls gathered together, forming a fluffy world.
So many plush and adorable items huddled around the bed. On the bed sat a huge, cuddly blond prince and a huge, cute plush fox. Twenty-eight-year-old Fu Siting would occasionally sleep between them— if he had to work late at the company and Li Fei had an important filming session the next morning, he wouldn’t go back to the bedroom but would choose to spend the night here so as not to disturb Li Fei’s rest.
“Here, take this.”
Li Fei tossed Fu Siting a plush dinosaur.
“Let’s get to know your favorite little dinosaur, DouDou, again.”
Fu Siting looked down at it carefully.
It was a very cute pocket dinosaur, and it really did look like the kind he would like.
“…”
Li Fei changed the pillowcases and placed a glass of warm water on the bedside table.
“The lamp is right next to you, turn it off yourself later.” ”
You can leave it on all night if you’re afraid of the dark.”
“…”
“Goodnight.”
After closing the door, Li Fei stood silently in the doorway for a while.
Actually, he wasn’t quite used to it either, after they got together, although they would occasionally sleep separately because of work overtime, it was actually quite rare.
Over the years, he had long since gotten used to rolling around in the soft, thick bed, falling into a deep sleep in his lover’s warm arms.
Fu Siting was very possessive in bed.
He always wrapped his arms tightly around his waist, his palms against his back, trying to pull him closer, completely and unreasonably claiming him as his own. Sometimes, half-asleep, Li Fei could feel his fingers gently playing with his hair, or hear him whispering his name in his dreams.
But as he gradually got used to these behaviors, Li Fei naturally grew accustomed to the sound of his breathing beside him, to feeling his lover’s warmth in the darkness, and to seeing Fu Siting’s peaceful sleeping face the first thing he saw when he woke up in the morning.
That space, which had been so tightly enveloped, had become a tranquil and gentle sea.
It allowed him to sink into it without worry, to wrap up and discard all his fatigue and worries, and to wake up feeling refreshed.
But… in the current situation, he couldn’t force him.
On his way back to his room, Li Fei discreetly checked all the security measures at home with his phone. As the “adult,” he was actually a little worried that sixteen-year-old Fu Siting might… wander off.
He shouldn’t disappear after waking up, right?
But he had already locked all the doors.
A normal person who hasn’t participated in a zombie apocalypse escape shouldn’t be able to escape.
…
Back in his bedroom, Li Fei sighed as he looked at the large blue bed.
Oh well, there’s always another day.
Just as he was thinking this, he turned around unintentionally and almost jumped in fright—someone was standing silently behind him, holding a small dinosaur, looking lost and dejected, like a vengeful zombie.
“…”
“Fu Xiaoting, what are you doing?”
Fu Siting looked confused, as if he were sleepwalking. His gray eyes were quiet, and he just stood there, holding the small dinosaur tightly, motionless.
“Why did you come here?” Li Fei asked him softly, “Was there something you didn’t like in the room?”
Fu Siting seemed not to hear him and remained silent.
“Looks like you didn’t like it there and wanted to come back to the master bedroom to sleep?”
Sixteen-year-old Fu Siting was really hard to guess.
He shook his head.
But he didn’t leave.
“…”
Li Fei could only silently lift the covers and get into bed first. The bed was large, and he only occupied the side he usually occupied.
“Come here,” he said. “The bed is big enough; you can sleep over there.”
“…”
“Don’t worry, you don’t need to be afraid of me. I promise I won’t do anything to you until you regain your memory.”
But the other person still didn’t move.
Helpless, Li Fei could only lift the covers and pat the soft mattress below, gesturing for him to come over.
Still no movement.
Li Fei: “…………”
“Fu Xiaoting, high school students should indeed be wary of strange older brothers they don’t know. But right now, I’m really just letting you sleep here.”
“I know this house is still unfamiliar to you, and it’s big, so it’s understandable that you’re afraid.”
“But… do I look like a bad guy?”
“…”
“Even if I were a bad guy, I wouldn’t go so far as to harm an amnesiac… sixteen-year-old kid.”
The other person still didn’t move.
But he didn’t leave either, just stood there.
Sixteen-year-old Fu Siting was really a bit confusing.
Helpless, Li Fei could only get out of bed again. Stepping on the soft carpet, he approached step by step, and tried to reach out again, gently rubbing Fu Siting’s face.
As always, there was no resistance. But the person was stiff again, extremely stiff.
Li Fei’s eyes darkened.
Suddenly, he used all his strength to pick the person up horizontally and throw him onto the soft, bouncy bed.
The bed bounced, and Fu Siting’s eyes were filled with shock and disbelief.
But, besides shock and disbelief, there should also be a hint of… something else, right? Li Fei tried hard to find it. The Fu Siting he knew liked how gentle Li Fei was on the surface, but enjoyed it every time he got particularly forceful.
It was very subtle; unless one had Li Fei’s professional actor-level emotional insight, they probably wouldn’t have seen the small change at the corner of his lips.
Then, what about the sixteen-year-old Fu Siting? Li Fei saw a slight blush of embarrassment, but before he could see if there was a smile at the corner of his mouth, Fu Siting, holding the little dinosaur, turned his head and shrank into a corner of the bed.
He didn’t move again.
But it seemed that he didn’t really dislike his sudden forcefulness…?
Li Fei didn’t know, but anyway, he covered him with a blanket first.
Seal applied!
Seal successful!
It’s puffed up like a rice dumpling.
