RAVEN

An S-rank guide, Raven, appeared before Renault, who lived inconspicuously as an A-rank esper. Raven, whose compatibility with any esper had never exceeded 10%, boldly displayed a 98.7% compatibility with Renault and became his dedicated guide.
Renault, displeased with such a development, went out on a light mission to hunt a B-rank monster, only to encounter an unexpected situation and get severely injured. As Renault teetered on the brink of rampage, Raven let slip a cryptic remark. Only then did Renault realize that Raven was the boy he had saved in the past, and that he was no ordinary person.

“You really don’t remember a thing, do you?”
Raven muttered, sounding almost amazed. For a moment, all expression vanished from Renault’s pale face.
“What… what do you mean by that?”
Renault’s voice trembled faintly as he asked. It felt as though Raven had seen through the sense of déjà vu, the unease, that Renault himself couldn’t even be certain of. It felt like hearing something one shouldn’t.
“Look at this. I remember everything about you, from start to finish, but you… you’ve forgotten it all. Ah! That’s so unfair.”
“What are you saying…? I’ve forgotten?”
“Starting to feel a little hurt, huh? What should I do?”
His words, casually claiming to feel hurt with a smirk, were hard to parse.Me? Forget that brat? Impossible.
There’s no way I could forget such a striking appearance, nor the gem-like uniqueness of those eyes. Then why is this brat acting so confidently as if he knows everything? And why am I feeling such an uncomfortable sense of déjà vu?
“Well, there’s nothing I can do. I’ll just have to kindly go over everything, one by one, until you remember.”

“Cry prettily, like you did back then. I’ll swallow it all up for you.”
