Chapter 101: Husband Is Too Handsome. I’m Too Shy to Kiss Him

The two gazed at each other for a long time. It was the first time Wen Jue had looked at him so clearly. Though a vague impression had already taken root in his heart, when he truly saw Yunchuan’s face, he still couldn’t stop the excitement from flooding in. He couldn’t even look away.

In dreams, he’d seen the Eldest Princess Royal and Changning’s faces, everyone but Yunchuan. The person who mattered most to him had been the only one whose face he never clearly saw.

So this is what Yunchuan looks like… Wen Jue realized belatedly that his heart was beating a little too fast.

Jiang Chuang, though excited, focused on the practical. “When did you regain your sight? How clearly can you see? Does your body feel uncomfortable? Should we go find Physician Bai Yuan?”

So this is how Yun Chuan looked at him…

Sword-like brows, star-bright eyes, when not smiling, he seemed aloof, even fierce. To those unfamiliar, it would be hard to imagine he had such a playful, spoiled, and soft side.

But now, in those deep eyes, there was only him. No need for words, Wen Jue could feel it: his heart was full of him.

Seeing Wen Jue just staring in a daze, Jiang Chuang grew worried. He reached out to feel his forehead. “What’s wrong? Are you feeling sick? Should I carry you to Bai Yuan? If you’re afraid of those things outside, just cover your eyes. Don’t worry, I’ll never let them near you!”

The moment he finished speaking, Wen Jue suddenly covered Jiang Chuang’s eyes.

Jiang Chuang blinked. “Huh? I meant for you to cover your eyes.”

“Don’t look at me…” Wen Jue’s face flushed deep red, even his ears and neck burning. “I-I’m losing control.”

Jiang Chuang was quiet for a second, then he laughed. The sound made Wen Juehand tickle. That tingling spread through his whole body.

Jiang Chuang took his hand and pulled it away, then gently cupped his own face in Wen Jue’s palms, turning to kiss his palm, staring straight at him, deliberately lowering his voice: “Oh? What do you mean by ‘losing control,’ Your Highness? This subject is all ears.”

Wen Jue pressed his lips together, then tilted his head and leaned in. He was about to kiss Jiang Chuang’s lips. Jiang Chuang was full of anticipation, but instead, Wen Jue shifted and kissed the corner of his mouth.

“That’s… what I meant by losing control.”

Jiang Chuang rubbed the spot where he’d been kissed, looking dissatisfied and aggrieved. “Why do I feel like you didn’t lose control at all?”

That face, slightly imposing and unfamiliar at first glance, became soft and familiar as soon as he spoke in his usual tone. Wen Jue blushed. “No, I really didn’t…”

Jiang Chuang clearly didn’t believe him. Wen Jue had no choice but to tug at his robe, pulling him closer, and whispered into his ear, “It’s just… my husband is too handsome. I’m too shy to kiss him.”

His warm breath tickled Jiang Chuang’s ear, and his voice was so sweet and coy it was almost too much. And just to make it worse, Wen Jue planted a loud kiss on his lips, then looked at him innocently: “Was that good enough?”

This time, Jiang Chuang didn’t react like a flustered fool. He stared deep into Wen Jue’s eyes, his throat bobbing. A silent, dangerous heat surged between them. He squeezed the back of Wen Jue’s neck.

“Wen Xiao Yu, we’ve been married for this long, and you think a little peck like that will satisfy me?” Jiang Chuang smirked, gaze shifting from those bright, moist eyes to his lips.

Wen Jue unconsciously licked his lips, and Jiang Chuang immediately seized the moment, pressing in and kissing him fiercely. Lips and tongue entangled in an instant, setting off sparks.

When they finally broke apart, Wen Jue realized his robe had come undone. He was nearly sprawled out on the table.

Still panting, mind hazy, Wen Jue looked at Jiang Chuang, sweat beading on his forehead, breath coming fast. His collar had come undone, revealing firm muscles that rose and fell with each breath.

Wen Jue swallowed. He tried to look away and act composed, but it was hopeless. One thought took over his mind: handsomeness is dangerous.

He’d been blind for so long… how many “beautiful sights” had he missed?

Jiang Chuang was still giddy with joy, completely unaware that the man in front of him was practically drooling over him. He hugged him tightly, rubbing his face against Wen Jue’s neck. “When did it happen? How long have you been hiding this from me?”

Wen Jue blinked and chased away all his inappropriate thoughts. “Not long. I woke up and suddenly realized I could see. I wasn’t in any pain. And I can see even more clearly than before. For example… right now, I can see…”

“Really? See what?” Jiang Chuang asked eagerly.

Wen Jue gave smiled, “Yunchuan, you have a mole on your chest!”

Jiang Chuang froze and looked down, sure enough, his collar had fallen open. Wen Jue was still in his lap, and from this angle, he’d seen everything.

He’d never paid much attention to whether he had moles or not. Bathing was a quick affair, he knew there might be a mark somewhere, but never looked too closely.

Looking now, he saw it, a tiny mole above his left pectoral.

Jiang Chuang pulled his collar shut and raised an eyebrow, teasing him. “So Your Highness is overcome with lust, huh? Your eyes just healed, and already wandering?”

Wen Jue played along, narrowing his eyes flirtatiously and lifting Jiang Chuang’s chin with a finger. “You think I look at just anyone? Will you let me look? Hmm?”

If anyone else made that expression, it might seem lewd, but Wen Jue was so exquisitely beautiful, his flirtatious gaze seemed more seductive than sleazy. Jiang Chuang couldn’t take it.

He grabbed him and planted a loud kiss on his cheek. “Wen Xiao Yu, why are you so damn adorable?”

Wen Jue rubbed his face and said, “Alright, let’s go find Divine Physician Bai. Though I think this recovery is thanks to the ancestor, probably her remaining divine power healed my eyes completely.”

“Alright! But…” Jiang Chuang hesitated. “Let me check outside first. See if everything’s calmed down?”

Speak of the physician, and he appears, Bai Yuan was indeed nearby in the inner courtyard. But…

At that moment, he was barehandedly catching mice, snapping their necks, and tossing them into a sack, his eyes gleaming with focus.
