Chapter 25: My Little Husband Is a Lustful Fiend!!

A moment of passion, a loss of control, the result of going too far was…

Wen Jue ended up even more exhausted than their wedding night. The next day, he developed a fever. His mind was hazy, and he began rambling nonsense, one moment crying, “Royal Sister, run!” the next moment muttering, “Yunchuan… I’m sorry…”

Jiang Chuang sat beside him, responding softly, not even sure if Wen Jue could hear him.

Other things Wen Jue said were incoherent. When Bai Yuan came to treat him, he lifted Wen Jue’s sleeve to apply acupuncture but saw the appalling traces left behind. His temple vein throbbed wildly as he said coldly to Jiang Chuang,

“No restraint. Lustful indulgence will only hasten his illness.”

Jiang Chuang, guilty and flustered, quickly nodded.

“Yes, Divine Physician! We’ll definitely follow your orders from now on. However many times you say is okay, we’ll only do that many!”

Bai Yuan, who already felt he had little to say to this burly man, still found him better than that infuriating Zhuge Qing. After thinking a moment, he instructed Jiang Chuang,

“Once a month. His yang energy is weak. Too much loss will harm his health and essence.”

Jiang Chuang was struck like thunder from the blue. Was he supposed to become a monk while living with a succubus!? Honestly, maybe he should change his surname to ‘Lust.’

But no matter how devastated he felt, Jiang Chuang still bowed respectfully.

    “Understood!”

After inserting a few needles, Wen Jue’s breathing calmed.

“When his fever subsides, bring him to my place at noon every day for treatment. Also, have the herbs I requested prepared.”

Wen Jue slowly opened his eyes. He felt utterly exhausted and unbearably hot. It was as though a force was dragging him down from behind, leaving him too weak to even lift a hand. His eyelashes trembled slightly with moisture.

    “Yunchuan…”

Jiang Chuang’s heart twisted with guilt and pain. He quickly took his hand.

“I’m here. Don’t move. The Divine Physician inserted needles into your arm, it’ll get better soon.”

“Okay,” Wen Jue murmured. “I’m… thirsty.”

    “I’ll go get water!”

Jiang Chuang fetched a cup and walked to the bed. Just as he was about to help Wen Jue up to drink, Bai Yuan swiftly pulled out the needle from Wen Jue’s arm.

“That’s enough for today. I’m leaving. Be on time tomorrow!” Bai Yuan snapped, packing his medicine box like he was fleeing from something and left without another word.

Jiang Chuang just assumed this was part of the Divine Physician’s eccentric personality. He then helped Wen Jue sit up and drink the water.

Outside, Bai Yuan let out a breath of relief. Thankfully he ran fast—if he had lingered another moment, he might have had to witness a live “mouth-to-mouth water feeding” session again. Last time, the manor lord and his husband did it right in front of him, truly an eyesore!

Was it because he hadn’t been in the outside world for too long? Had people these days become so bold and unrestrained?

When Wen Jue later heard that Bai Yuan had prescribed “once a month only,” he couldn’t hide his disappointment.

“The Divine Physician really said that?”

Jiang Chuang nodded. Seeing Wen Jue’s pouty face, he was secretly delighted and teased,

“Craving already? Let’s see if you dare to tease me again!”

Wen Jue dared. He thought for a bit and muttered,

“Then… once a month, but make it a whole night~”

Before they married, Wen Jue had thought intimacy with a man would be difficult. He’d prepared himself to grit his teeth through it for a while—but once he’d tasted it, he couldn’t quit.

Mmm… General Jiang tasted very good!

Jiang Chuang clenched his molars, then reached out to pinch Wen Jue’s cheek.

    “Lustful little fiend!”

The worst part was, he also couldn’t wait!

The next day, Jiang Chuang personally brought Wen Jue to Bai Yuan’s quarters, only to be immediately driven off. Boxes of herbs were piled at the door. Bai Yuan hadn’t even sorted them. Whatever was happening inside felt terribly mysterious. Jiang Chuang didn’t dare to peek and just waited from afar, watching the time closely.

Bai Yuan set a cup of tea before Wen Jue.

    “Drink.”

Wen Jue lifted the cup. Before drinking, he paused at the scent, but still drank it down.

    “Thank you, Divine Physician.”

Not long after he spoke, as expected, he lost consciousness.

When he woke, he heard Bai Yuan’s indifferent voice:

    “Go. Come back tomorrow.”

Wen Jue felt as if he had only taken a nap. No other sensation. He touched the edge of the bed and sat up.

    “Okay. Thank you, Divine Physician.”

Was the treatment really this simple? Wen Jue was filled with doubt, but since Bai Yuan had said not to ask, he held back his curiosity.

As he stepped outside with his cane, barely a few steps away, he heard a rush of footsteps approaching. It was Jiang Chuang.

“How are you? Do you feel unwell?” Jiang Chuang took his hand, making the cane unnecessary.

    Wen Jue shook his head.

    “Not really.”

But he knew, it was just the beginning. The suffering was still ahead.

And sure enough, by the fifth day, Wen Jue became listless, coughing constantly. Cold sweat soaked his body, and even the lightest breeze made him shiver. At night, Jiang Chuang had to wrap him in two thick quilts and hold him tightly for him to sleep.

He was sick for three days before starting to recover. Just as Jiang Chuang was about to feel relieved, Bai Yuan doused him in cold water:

“He’ll relapse again. This illness comes and goes. Improvement is only temporary.”

Less than two days later, Wen Jue collapsed again.

For the past several days, Jiang Chuang had been rushing back from court every day to take care of him, mind entirely consumed by worry.

He had no idea that in the outside world, something major had happened.

The rumor had spread like wildfire among the people and even reached the ears of the court officials.

Until one day, the Grand Princess made an unexpected visit.
