    Chapter Index

    “Do more, Ahyeong.”

Once Sahyeol Amje began seducing him in earnest, there was no way he could resist. His jaw tensed, and veins rose along the line of his slender neck. From Seolyeong’s perspective, Tang Yujae seemed like a man with a truly remarkable talent for temptation. A man who could control hearts with a single glance, a single gesture, it made sense he would live as the god of tens of thousands of sect members.

The one known as the greatest talent alive, the man who had reached the highest peak among all martial artists, opened his mouth.

    “Aren’t you thirsty?”

A sweet scent began wafting from his body. The aroma was so strong it stung the nose, and Seolyeong grew dizzy from it. Sahyeol Amje’s internal energy had intensified, sending that scent rippling through the air.

“You’ve been holding back so much.”

    “……”

“How did you stay so well-behaved all this time?”

Though the energy of the yeouiju in his danjeon had faded, the martial strength it had built remained, and so the blood fiend’s carnal instincts were still easily provoked. There was no energy Seolyeong had ever felt that struck him as fiercely as this.

Smiling tenderly, Tang Yujae exposed his neck, offering it so his bride could sink in his fangs with ease. His warm expression seemed, as always, to be saying, “Even if you become a monster in front of me, it doesn’t matter. So don’t hesitate.”

Tears welled in Seolyeong’s eyes before he even realized it. As he looked at his husband, he began to make a silent vow.

Even if the world called you a monster, I, at least, would think of you as a man. So that you can remain human to the end, I’ll love you without regret.

In the next moment, Seolyeong collapsed into Tang Yujae’s arms. Then, without hesitation, he bared his fangs at the man’s neck. As his teeth pierced through skin, a numbing toxin and a subtle, heat-inducing aura surged forth. His jewel-bright eyes took on a deep crimson hue.

Tang Yujae’s brow twitched at just the right moment. The ebony-wood chair, unable to withstand the weight of both men, tilted back.

Crash! In the next moment, Tang Yujae was sprawled across the table. Seolyeong leaned over him from behind, sweeping aside his black hair to fully expose his neck. For blood fiends, that was the spot where injection produced the strongest effects.

    “Ugh…”

Today, his skin was pierced even deeper than usual, and a sharp sting spread from the wound. Squelch The sound of blood being drawn echoed lewdly in the room. Trapped between Seolyeong’s arms, Tang Yujae endured the feeding.

It felt like a sudden explosion of fire blooming in the middle of a pitch-black night. The wild sensation began at his neck, ran down his danjeon, and soon soaked into his lower half. Realizing that his husband’s body was reacting precisely as intended, Seolyeong let out a low growl.

The sound of his laugh while his fangs are still stuck in place, was also transmitted to Sahyeol Amje.

    “Ahh, my husband…”

His voice was full of affection.

    “I love you…”

Only after quite some time did Seolyeong withdraw his fangs. He stared blankly at the two puncture marks left behind. It was startling how the evidence of his wild feeding remained. And yet, even after such monstrous behavior, the man before him showed not a hint of repulsion.

Seolyeong wrapped his arms around his husband’s waist and subtly rubbed against his lower body.

“You were right, husband. I suppose we really have been a bit distant lately, haven’t we?”

This position was just perfect, for biting his husband’s neck while thrusting his hips. Gripping his husband’s pale hips with both hands and slamming into him, just imagining it made Seolyeong’s mouth water. As he recalled those wing bones that turned pink so easily whenever he bit down, he smiled to himself.

“Your scent faded from our bed, and you have no idea how lonely that made me. I was this close to losing my mind trying to behave.”

The fingers that had been rubbing along the ridge of his tailbone suddenly changed direction. Slipping upward toward his chest, they started lightly tapping at his nipples. Tang Yujae received the motion like it was nothing new. Blood fiends, deprived of affection, had a baby-like instinct for sucking and biting at someone’s chest.

But today, there was still unfinished business waiting.

With a light grip, Tang Yujae seized his bride’s hand and flipped their positions in an instant. It was such a quick and fluid motion that even Seolyeong’s blood fiend eyes couldn’t catch it.

In the blink of an eye, Seolyeong found himself seated atop the table.

Tang Yujae brought his lips to Seolyeong’s cheek. As his kiss landed softly, he said.

    “Let’s go out, Ahyeong.”

    “…What?”

There was no time to be confused. Before he could even ask what was happening, Seolyeong found himself walking through the air. Ridiculously, their hands were tightly clasped the whole time. Sahyeol Amje’s gyeonggong was faster than a typhoon riding a cloud, and Seolyeong felt like his soul was being pulled out of his body. His own martial skills had grown drastically not long ago, but still couldn’t match the Amje.

The place they arrived at in a flash felt familiar to Seolyeong for some reasons.

Bustling street stalls, noisy crowds, an endless flow of people. Instinctively about to change his eye color, Seolyeong quickly realized that no one here was paying attention to him, his husband had already cast an illusion.

He turned to a passing child and asked,

“Hey there, plump-cheeked boy. How does bonjwa’s figure appear to your eyes?”

Hearing the word “bonjwa,” a term usually used by back-alley thugs, the boy looked startled. He clearly wanted to get going quickly to avoid missing the mask play.

“They said today’s mask play is gonna be amazing…”

The boy mumbled to himself and tried to run off, but Seolyeong moved faster.

“Are you speechless from how beautiful I am?”

The little boy, hair tied in a single braid, blinked at him like he couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Then chirped back like a lark,

“Huhhh? Who’s beautiful? All I see is a tall, lanky uncle.”

Thanks to his husband’s magic, Seolyeong’s appearance had been transformed into something bland and ordinary. If he ever found out what his current face looked like to others, the heavens might split open from his furious screams. He’d demand what have you done to the most lovable face in the world?

Just as the boy opened his mouth again, Tang Yujae spoke offhandedly.

“The mask play has already started.”

Sure enough, the sound of drums could be heard in the distance. The startled boy shouted that he had to go and dashed past Seolyeong. For such a tiny thing, he moved with such agility it looked like he might step into the air at any moment.

    Seolyeong shot Yujae a glare.

“What have you done to this wife’s lovely face?”

    “Didn’t do much.”

Shrugging his broad shoulders, Tang Yujae clasped his hands behind his back like nothing had happened. Then, with a pointed gaze, he silently told Seolyeong to link arms.

    Seolyeong turned his nose up.

    “I’m not in the mood.”

“You’re back home. Even if you hate it, you have to pretend we’re a loving couple.”

    “…Excuse me?”

That was the kind of statement he hadn’t even remotely expected. Stunned, Seolyeong blinked rapidly just like the boy had moments ago. Watching his bride, Tang Yujae smiled softly.

This was Duhae Market, the most lively street market in all of Yonyeong. As it was market day, the crowds were thick.

    “…Don’t tell me… this is… Yonyeong?”

Where had that mad bride who used to tear through the Cheonma Divine Sect like a wildcat gone? Tang Yujae watched his flustered bride with amusement. Whether he was wide-eyed and pouting or completely flustered like now, Seolyeong was equally lovable.

Unable to hold back his smile, Yujae gently took the ends of Seolyeong’s hair between his fingers.

“My one and only sister-in-law is getting married.”

Seolyeong’s long lashes quivered like butterfly wings. It felt like he could still hear the maids’ voices echoing in his ears, how Sahyeol Amje was like a demon to men, but like a celestial to women.

“I came to lend her a bit of strength.”

As Yujae playfully finished his sentence, pink flower trees began blooming all across Yonyeong, even with the north wind still in the air. The crowd couldn’t help but stir at the sight of flowers blossoming far too early for the season.
