RACA 81

A blue umbrella opened. Eunsol stepped forward with a smile on his lips.
Until lunchtime, going out had been out of the question. It was raining hard, and he thought he would spend the whole day trapped inside his room.
But once he decided to buy a cake, things started to go well. The rain stopped and Bulgom succeeded in distracting Jaebeom. It felt as if someone was pushing his back. The rare feeling that everything was going according to plan put him in a good mood.
He had already found a nearby bakery on his phone. It was about ten minutes from the back gate of the apartment. He thought he could come back quickly. His mind was already in front of the cake display.
“Alright, let’s go!”
He didn’t know how many times he circled the park in the complex. His steps along the familiar path were light today.
Eunsol breathed in the air that smelled like the scent of rain, and he walked slowly toward the bakery.
Jaebeom followed behind him at a moderate distance. He held a large umbrella that could easily cover both of them. His build was big, but he also intended to share the umbrella on the way back.
“What’s got you so happy?”
Jaebeom wouldn’t stop smiling drop because of the joy he felt from watching Eunsol’s back. Bulgom might be a reliable beta, but the one Eunsol should trust and rely on was him.
When Eunsol talked with Bulgom as if they were plotting something together, his mood turned bad in real time. What made him happy again was when Eunsol revealed the surprise he called a secret.
“He really act just like Beom Jongjong.”
Eunsol’s humming reached Jaebeom clearly. He always thought his voice was pleasant, but it seemed his singing was good too.
“With a face that good, and that kind of skill, the only reason he didn’t get famous must’ve been the agency.”
Jaebeom knew Eunsol never had a proper manager or agency. He also knew this business couldn’t be survived by talent alone, and that you needed luck or someone solid to back you up.
That was why he felt sorry. He sometimes thought that if he had realized his feelings for Eunsol a little earlier, he could’ve made things a bit easier for him. That thought made him feel guilty.
Eunsol, who didn’t know anything about Jaebeom’s thoughts, reached the bakery building. Jaebeom watched until he opened the door and went inside, then finally turned his gaze and looked around.
Under the gray sky, the rain still fell in thin lines. The damp alley had few people, and the cars passed by slowly.
“What’s that…”
Because of that, the black sedan that stopped with its hazard lights on stood out even more.
Jaebeom had good eyes and memory. Since the license plate was clearly visible, there was no way he didn’t know whose car it was.
He immediately took out his phone and pressed the call button. After a few rings, the other side picked up.
–Oh, CEO Pyo. You said you couldn’t come out today, what’s this about?
“Mr. Kim, what brings you here?”
–Huh?
“The black sedan about fifty meters ahead. Isn’t that your car, Mr. Kim?”
Jaebeom’s tone was calm, but the question contained within was cold. The other person fell silent for a moment, maybe calculating how to play dumb.
“I let the last incident slide, but this time, I can’t. You know that, right?”
–Hey, CEO Pyo. That club thing, I told you that was my mistake!
It was an excuse close to shamelessness. He was trying to talk his way out of it. But Jaebeom saw through it all.
His eyes narrowed as he watched the car start moving like it was about to run away.
“Mr. Kim.”
He quietly called him as a warning. He heard the other man take a deep breath.
“Let’s not give each other a reason to get ugly.”
–CEO Pyo, I’m really just curious about one thing.
“Don’t be curious.”
–Do you really have feelings for that omega? Huh? If not, then give him to me. Huh?
His words ignoring Jaebeom’s warning made him run out of patience.
At that moment, sparks seemed to flash in his eyes. His body, which had been standing still, moved ahead.
Screech!
The car suddenly braked and made a tearing noise.
–Hey! Pyo Jaebeom! Are you crazy? Do you want to die?
The shout hit his ear through the phone, but Jaebeom calmly ended the call. The large umbrella slipped from his hand and rolled on the wet ground.
Even as the rain drenched him, he didn’t move. It was Kim inside the car who looked more shocked.
Bang!
Bang. Bang!
Jaebeom kicked the car, and the body shook.
“That, that crazy bastard!”
President Kim froze completely at the violent act done with a blank face. He wanted to run, but when he imagined what might happen after, he couldn’t move recklessly.
On the surface, Jaebeom often smiled and acted easygoing, but once he was in a bad mood, he turned into something like a beast.
Crash. Bang! Bang!
The harsh demand to open the door forced President Kim to raise the white flag.
“Hello, Mr. Kim?”
“CEO Pyo! What kind of rude behavior is this, huh?”
“Then why do you keep doing this, Mr. Kim?”
“You didn’t even sleep with that omega anyway. Then can’t I take a little look? Why are you so…ugh!”
President Kim, who had been running his mouth carelessly, suddenly found his collar grabbed, and his body dragged out of the car. He seemed to have regained his senses.
Only then did he realize that Jaebeom’s eyes were dangerously calm. It wasn’t just that. The overpowering pheromones coming from him began to choke President Kim’s breath.
“CEO Pyo? Let’s, let’s talk, huh? Let go and talk.”
President Kim forced himself to laugh.
“I, I think I made a mistake. Huh? I’m sorry. Let’s fix this with a talk, huh? A talk.”
He ran quick calculations in his head. He never thought Pyo Jaebeom would actually have feelings for that omega.
If he had known, he would’ve stopped that bastard of a father who came himself and talked nonsense about selling his own child.
He wanted that omega too. A dominant omega, good looks, and a degree from a top university.
‘I thought he wouldn’t care again this time. I read it all wrong.’
He never thought Jaebeom would react like this. Jaebeom had never even looked at the omegas President Kim had sent him before.
‘I was just going to make a small switch.’
Thud.
Jaebeom threw President Kim back into the car without a word.
“Ah, damn!”
He screamed loudly and peeked at Jaebeom’s face. Fortunately, the dangerous pheromones from before were gone.
“CEO Pyo, about this, I’m really sorry. I didn’t know you were interested in that omega.”
“Lee Eunsol.”
“Huh?”
“Don’t call him omega. Call him by name.”
“Ah, ah. Right. Lee Eunsol. I just didn’t realize you two were that close.”
It wasn’t just a mistake in judgment. He had hit the tiger’s nerves right on point.
“Then stop being interested. That’ll be better for you.”
“Yes, yes. I understand. I’m sorry. I’m really sorry.”
“And take care of Lee Daebak too.”
“He came on his own, but yes I will. Of course.”
President Kim quickly nodded, afraid he might say the wrong thing.
“Then I better get going, huh? Looks like he’s coming out.”
Jaebeom followed President Kim’s eyes and clicked his tongue quietly. Eunsol was walking toward them with a cake box and an umbrella in his hands.
The umbrella blocked his view, so he didn’t seem to notice what just happened.
Jaebeom straightened his back with an indifferent expression and walked toward Eunsol. The car door closed, and the vehicle moved away.
Only then did President Kim breathe again and sit up.
The inside of the car was a mess.
“Damn it! Pyo Jaebeom, that crazy bastard!”
He clenched his teeth as he watched through the window, where Jaebeom quietly followed behind the omega.
“Hey, drive.”
The driver quickly stepped on the accelerator. President Kim brushed back his hair with irritation and muttered,
“That arrogant bastard. I’ll have to teach him a real lesson.”
