TSBDRA 1: Almost Died from Pleasure
by starlightxelSteam fogged up the bathroom mirror, but was wiped clear by slender fingers, the condensation dripping down and splashing onto the sink.
Xu Xishuang could barely stay standing. He pushed himself off the cold wall, body tilting forward as he reached for a bathrobe and slipped it on. He then looked at himself in the mirror.
What stared back at him had nearly identical features, but far paler—unnaturally so. His eyes were flushed from the bathroom’s heat, misty with tears, looking pitiful to the extreme, like someone who didn’t have long left to live.
Xu Xishuang took a deep breath.
He was now certain he had transmigrated into a danmei novel his cousin sent him last night. Not just as some random side character, but a full-on cannon fodder. Or to be exact, a childbearing tool.
The tool character was a sickly beauty who gasped for breath every few steps. After an unexpected one-night stand with the devil-tier top star—also the novel’s gong protagonist, Yan Yushan—he accidentally ended up being pregnant.
The top star Yan Yushan had a terrifying reputation and anyone who tried to associate with him, especially stir up dating rumors, would be instantly blacklisted—expelled from the entertainment circle, career destroyed, possibly even sued into the next life. The sickly beauty didn’t dare tell the truth. He dragged his weak body and ran from the bed, fleeing the industry altogether, making sure Yan Yushan would never find out who he slept with that night.
When Xu Xishuang read this part, he thought it was one of those “pregnant and running away, gong chasing shou to hell and back” plots but the sickly beauty vanished after leaving the industry and, in the end, because of his poor health, he passed away after giving birth.
Xu Xishuang: ?
Right before dying, the sickly beauty finally revealed who the father was. The hospital quickly contacted Yan Yushan. He took the child and immediately started a dramatic romance with the novel’s shou protagonist, received the blessings of the entire entertainment circle, and became one big happy family.
Xu Xishuang: ??
He hadn’t even had time to curse when he was electrocuted in the bathroom and transmigrated into the book.
Now, realizing he had become the sickly beauty with the exact same name as him, Xu Xishuang wanted to scream every curse word he knew.
There was no time, because Yan Yushan was about to show up drugged, stumbling into the wrong room, straight into his bathroom, and having that fateful one-night stand with him.
Xu Xishuang didn’t even have the strength to walk over and shut the bathroom door. He looked in despair at the handle just a few steps away yet impossibly out of reach, struggling to move his legs, which felt like they belonged to a 90-year-old man—
Then he slipped.
Right before hitting the ground, Xu Xishuang shut his eyes peacefully. He figured he was about to go down in history as the shortest-lived transmigrator ever. Dying in the bathroom from a fall—could it get any more embarrassing? Maybe he was cursed to die in bathrooms?
Wait a second.
Xu Xishuang felt himself fall into a warm and firm embrace that bumped his nose, making it sting and nearly bringing him to tears.
Trying not to cry, he looked up and saw a face that hit every single one of his aesthetic preferences. Even the small mole under the left eyelid was placed perfectly on his personal XP list. Xu Xishuang’s spirit practically shot back up.
Before he could come up with a perfect pick-up line, the man bit his neck.
Yes. Bit.
Xu Xishuang shivered in pain, tears spilling from his eyes. He tried to push the man away, but his strength was laughable—like a tickle. The man didn’t budge. Instead, he used his free hand to pin Xu Xishuang’s wrist down but at least, he finally stopped biting and pulled back slightly.
Xu Xishuang opened his mouth, ready to curse, but the man misunderstood completely. Staring at the tear clinging to Xu Xishuang’s lashes, the flushed corners of his eyes, and his slightly parted red lips, the man leaned in and kissed him, dazed and seductive.
Xu Xishuang froze.
Then it hit him.
F*ck—this man was Yan Yushan!!
The same bastard who barged into his room, slept with him, got him pregnant, and then abandoned him—leaving him to die while keeping the kid like some trashy scumbag!!
Burning with rage, Xu Xishuang bit down hard on Yan Yushan’s tongue, making him pause as if he’d suddenly sobered up. Just as Xu Xishuang was about to say something “polite” like “get out”, Yan Yushan scooped him up and carried him out of the bathroom, then tossed him onto a soft bed.
Xu Xishuang: …
He clutched at the loose bathrobe around him, staring blankly as Yan Yushan began undressing. His gaze slid over those lean, defined muscles. Realizing he couldn’t even get out of bed right now, Xu Xishuang thought, screw it. Might as well enjoy himself.
So he lay there peacefully.
…
The next morning at the hospital, Xu Xishuang stared blankly at the stark white ceiling, wishing he could go back in time and slap the version of himself that had gotten seduced last night.
Yes, it had been great but he had almost died from pleasure. He was just one step away from becoming the first transmigrator in history to die mid-** from too much enjoyment.
That would’ve been even more embarrassing than dying in the bathroom. A full-blown disgrace. Xu Xishuang cursed inwardly—this was all that bastard Yan Yushan’s fault! That damn guy was too strong, too big, and way too good. He didn’t seem like a drunk virgin at all, even though the author swore he was. Was he faking it?!
Okay, maybe Xu Xishuang himself wasn’t totally blameless. He probably shouldn’t have wrapped his leg around Yan Yushan and tempted him into going for another round… or was it two?
Xu Xishuang turned his eyes away, deciding not to think about it—not even about who brought him to the hospital. He will just let it all go. Thanks.
Even though he hadn’t followed the original plot and fled the bed to leave Yan Yushan clueless, it probably wasn’t a big deal… right?
Outside the room, Yan Yushan sat on a bench in the hallway, looking slightly worn.
His childhood friend Jiang Yangze sat beside him, still in shock. “Yan-ge, I can’t believe this. It’s your first time, and you sent someone straight to the hospital? Almost to the ICU?”
Yan Yushan didn’t answer.
He hadn’t originally planned to call Jiang Yangze, but this was the first time in his life he couldn’t face someone directly, and he needed someone he trusted to act as a buffer.
He knew he had been drugged last night. He was just looking for an empty room to ride it out, but the hotel gave him the wrong keycard. Dazed, he walked into someone else’s room and headed for a cold shower—only to run right into the vision of spring that was Xu Xishuang.
He remembered everything after that, including how he had passed out from going too far.
Yan Yushan closed his eyes briefly. Xu Xishuang had been the lead in his directorial debut, and last night had been their wrap party. He had assumed the crew was all familiar, so he drank a bit more than usual. He never expected someone to slip him something.
He already knew who the culprit was. Xu Xishuang had been completely innocent, caught in the crossfire. Even groveling might not be enough to earn his forgiveness.
No one knew that when Yan Yushan woke up that morning and saw the bruised, barely-breathing Xu Xishuang in his arms, his heart nearly stopped.
The aftermath was chaos. Even though Xu Xishuang had mentioned he had health issues, Yan Yushan hadn’t realized it was this bad.
Given the circumstances, it was no surprise that Xu Xishuang wouldn’t want to continue acting in his movie. Yan Yushan was prepared to pay double the penalty and agree to any terms Xu Xishuang set—as long as he could afford them.
He was still deep in thought when the nurse reminded him that the patient inside had woken up. Jiang Yangze, who looked eager for gossip, followed him into the room.
Xu Xishuang had already pulled the blanket over his head the moment he heard the nurse—he had zero desire to face reality.
It was just… too awkward. So mortifying. He wanted to disappear on the spot. Honestly, dying under Yan Yushan last night would’ve been easier than dealing with this social death.
He held his breath, pretending to be asleep, ears straining for sounds outside the blanket.
There’s no deep, low voice from Yan Yushan—just Jiang Yangze’s teasing tone, “Uh, Yan-ge? Why is the blanket over his head? Don’t tell me… you actually banged him to death?!”
Xu Xishuang: …
Yan Yushan: …
Mentally bracing himself, Xu Xishuang slowly pulled the blanket down, expressionless as he stared at the two men at the foot of his bed.
Jiang Yangze gasped dramatically the moment he saw his face. He hadn’t expected that the person Yan Yushan had slept with was the famously frail beauty of the entertainment world. Xu Xishuang was known for his stunning looks and solid acting, but because of his health, he rarely worked and wasn’t very active. He barely even counted as a D-list actor.
At that moment, it all clicked to him why Yan-ge had rushed him to the hospital. Xu Xishuang’s body was really that fragile!
He had once had the “privilege” of seeing Xu Xishuang cough up blood while standing in the wind and it had left him stunned for an entire year.
Yan Yushan, suddenly feeling guilty, looked away from the marks on Xu Xishuang’s neck and quietly asked, “Are you feeling better?”
Xu Xishuang glanced at him. He was still ridiculously handsome. He recalled the way Yan Yushan had been described in the novel and decided not to provoke him directly. After all, he had the upper hand here so he could do whatever he wanted to Yan Yushan now.
Xu Xishuang let out a light cough, earning two anxious stares. Then he slowly said, “Yeah.”
Sensing the awkward tension, Jiang Yangze quickly stepped in. “Hey, Xiao Xu, last night was totally our Yan-ge’s fault. He’s here today to apologize. If you’re angry or upset, just let it all out on him. Seriously—shout, curse, hit—he won’t fight back or talk back!”
Yan Yushan immediately added, “I’m sorry. Last night was my fault. I’ll compensate you.”
Xu Xishuang was still weak and floppy. He didn’t have the strength to hit anyone, and even swearing would take too much energy. So instead, he quietly reviewed the novel’s original plot, then said, “I want tonic.”
Both Yan Yushan and Jiang Yangze froze.
“Extra-strong tonic,” Xu Xishuang clarified.
He had to build up his body. In the original story, the sickly beauty died because his health was too poor. Xu Xishuang didn’t want to die.
So he was going to strengthen his body hard. Really, really hard!!
