PVS EXTRA 2 – No Wonder He’s the Domineering CEO Tudou

Everyone’s first reaction was: Wait, is this something you’re allowed to play with? That’s definitely not something to mess around with!

Then the second reaction: Holy crap, a three-year-old looking at the company’s accounting books?!

For a moment, the expressions on the other parents’ faces were a sight to behold. None of them asked Yan Yushan whether Yan Qingci actually understood the books because, honestly, if a kid could understand tectonic plate movement, treating financial reports like toys… well, maybe it wasn’t that impossible?

Once the guests had all taken out their items, Fei Yuan nodded in satisfaction, then flipped over the little whiteboard in his hand to reveal the first check-in task. He said to the guests, “Alright, we can now begin our first check-in challenge! Parents, please take your children and hike to Stone Village. That will be the start of our journey.”

Fei Yuan cleared his throat and stepped aside to reveal the path behind him, then addressed the guests. “As you’ve probably noticed, there are four different paths in the road ahead of you. Each one leads to the entrance of Stone Village, but of course, the distance of each route is different.”

Fei Yuan gave a mischievous smile. “Each family, please choose one of the paths to take. Oh, and by the way, just a reminder. The family that arrives first will receive a reward.”

The moment he heard there was a reward, Pidan’s eyes lit up. Forgetting all about losing his toy, he grabbed Liang Feng and Cheng Xiaohui’s hands and bolted toward the widest road, shouting as he ran, “Mom, Dad, come on! We have to be the first to reach the finish line!”

Liang Feng, being just as hyper, took off running with Pidan, sprinting ahead without a care for the other guests. Cheng Xiaohui was dragged along by the two of them. She quickly turned back to the other three families with an apologetic smile, calling out “Slow down!” as she ran.

Seeing Pidan take the lead, Sijidou was eager to follow. He turned and tugged Xiang Yao’s hand, signaling for her to hurry and pick a path so they could set off too.

Fei Yuan continued fanning the flames from the side. “Oh, looks like Pidan’s family chose the widest cement road. Now, who knows—maybe that’s the shortest and smoothest route to the village?”

Now there were three paths left in front of the guests. The one on the far left was overgrown with weeds, with only a narrow dirt trail visible through the brush, full of puddles and looking very muddy. The middle path was covered in gravel, uneven and bumpy, but fairly wide. The path on the right was a stone-paved road, with moss growing all over the slabs and plenty of cracks and sunken spots. It was clearly aged and worn.

The remaining three families, in silent agreement, didn’t say a word, letting the kids decide which path to take.

Sijidou really wanted to choose first, but since he was usually the younger brother at home, and was now suddenly the older one, he felt an unexpected sense of responsibility settle onto his small shoulders. So he turned to the youngest, Xiao Lajiao, and took the initiative to ask, “Xiao Lajiao, which path do you want to choose?”

Xiao Lajiao, wearing a pink puff-sleeve dress, didn’t answer. Instead, she hid a bit more behind Bai Keke. Bai Keke sighed softly, rubbed Xiao Lajiao’s head, then bent down and said gently, “Don’t be scared, Lajiao—we’re just out here to have fun. This is Sijidou-ge.”

Xiao Lajiao peeked shyly at Sijidou, then blinked her big eyes and stretched out her tiny arm, pointing to the middle gravel path.

Seeing that she hadn’t picked the path he wanted, Sijidou quietly let out a sigh of relief but his expression gave everything away, and anyone could tell. He then shuffled over to stand in front of Yan Qingci, looked down at him, and asked, “Tudou, which path do you want to take?”

“Which one do you want to take?” Yan Qingci asked in return.

Sijidou had meant to be polite, but the moment Tudou turned the question back on him, he dropped all pretense and excitedly pointed to the narrow, muddy dirt path. “I want this one!”

Behind Sijidou, Xiang Yao showed a look of despair.

Since both Xu Xishuang and Yan Yushan were male, Yan Qingci used slightly different terms for them at home—he called Xu Xishuang “Daddy” and Yan Yushan “Father”—so it wouldn’t be confusing.

With fewer people around now, Xiao Lajiao was feeling more relaxed. She looked at the cameraman uncle and answered softly, “Because I like rocks.”

Next was Sijidou, who’s trying hard to act calm and collected, determined to show the poise of a big brother. He clasped both little hands behind his back and answered the cameraman seriously, “Because there’s a lot of grass on this path. Teacher Yueliang said that kids should spend more time playing with flowers and plants.”

Chen Yurou, standing nearby, explained, “Teacher Yueliang is his kindergarten teacher.”

Last was Yan Qingci. He thought for a moment, then answered the cameraman, “Out of the three paths that were left, this one looked the cleanest and the most comfortable to walk on.”

“It looks like a lot of people have walked this path before. It’s an old road,” Yan Qingci added, tilting his head slightly. “My grandfather said, unless you’re absolutely sure, don’t rush to blaze a new trail. The risks are too high and it’s easy to suffer losses. Following the ones ahead is the safest route. Only once you have enough strength should you start thinking about innovation.”

The cameraman was so stunned by his answer that the camera wobbled.

“Congratulations! You chose the shortest path and were the first to arrive at Stone Village!” Fei Yuan applauded. “Once all the other families and children arrive, I’ll give you your special reward for this round! Are you excited, Tudou?”

Yan Qingci gave a modest nod.

Xu Xishuang held Yan Qingci’s hand, standing at the village entrance with Yan Yushan. Within a few minutes, Sijidou’s family arrived.

In Pidan’s mind, winning or losing the race mattered, but playing with his friends mattered more. He immediately let go of the results and didn’t mind being the last one at all. He ran up to share something he saw along the way, “Let me tell you—I saw a huuuuuge cow on the road just now! There was a grandpa sitting on a cart pulled by the cow—it was so cool!”
