PVS EXTRA 6 – Fei Yuan: …This show is impossible to run.

    【Hahaha, Yan-ge, that’s so you! Shuangshuang baby, that’s so you too!】

【Yeah, why didn’t I think of recording it? With the video, how could I not learn?】

【No no no, for clumsy people like me, even watching the video won’t help. I still need someone like Xu Xishuang to teach me step by step.】

【Anyway, I don’t think Fei Yuan’s going to let them finish the task that easily. He’s definitely going to pull more tricks.】

Seeing that this segment meant to make things difficult for the guests was about to be easily resolved, Fei Yuan quickly stepped in, forbidding Yan Yushan from recording and not allowing Xu Xishuang to teach the others how to make straw hats.

Yan Yushan raised an eyebrow. “Fei Yuan, you didn’t mention these rules before the mission started, did you? Now you won’t let us record or let Xu Xishuang teach others—don’t you think that’s going too far?”

Called out by his full name, Fei Yuan met Yan Yushan’s half-smiling expression and felt a little guilty. He cleared his throat, thought it over, and decided to let Yan Yushan continue recording.

Anyway, even after Yan Yushan finishes recording, the others still have to follow the video and do it themselves. But Xu Xishuang was directly stepping in to help them cheat—that definitely can’t be allowed.

So Xu Xishuang was forcibly “clocked out” by Fei Yuan and sent to the other side to do crafts with the kids using wheat stalks. The four children crouched beside him, watching wide-eyed as Xu Xishuang’s slender, fair fingers moved with lightning speed. In just a few minutes, a golden little pony appeared in his hands.

【Fishing god Xu Xishuang had his OP straw-hat-making skill nerfed by game planner Fei Yuan! Fei Yuan even banned him from the field!】

【So what generation hero is Xu Xishuang in this version of the game? Is he a mage or an assassin?】

【I think Xu Xishuang must be a marksman (confirmed), otherwise how could he shoot an arrow straight into my heart and make me fall for him so hard】

【That line is so cheesy hahaha, what is wrong with you netizens!】

【Wuwuwu Xu Xishuang even knows how to make little ponies! It’s so pretty, I want one too!】

【So is Shuangshuang baby considering switching careers to handicrafts? Whatever he makes would totally sell out. I’d be the first to buy!】

While everyone else was struggling to learn how to make straw hats, Xu Xishuang not only finished the little wheat-straw pony, but also used some bamboo strips nearby to make a bamboo dragonfly for each of the kids. In an instant, he won over the remaining three children and became the most popular parent on the spot.

By the time the other parents finished watching the video and finally managed to make a crooked, lopsided straw hat and barely completed the task, they discovered that their own kids were already circling around Xu Xishuang, having completely forgotten about them. One by one, the children clung tightly to Xu Xishuang’s pant legs, unwilling to let go, wishing more than anything that Xu Xishuang could be their dad.

Pidan, who loved toys the most, shouted, “Tudou, I want your dad to be my dad too! Then I could have new toys to play with every day! Can I be your big brother?”

Yan Qingci grabbed Xu Xishuang’s hand and held it tightly, afraid that Pidan might take him away. He said seriously, “No. He’s my daddy. You can’t be my brother.”

Liang Feng and Cheng Xiaohui: …This little rascal.

Pidan had only said it on a whim, but after being rejected, he disappointedly replied, “Okay then.”

【Hahahaha not gonna lie, when I was a kid I also really wanted the sweet neighbor auntie to be my mom, because her cookies were so good and she never yelled or hit me (shy)】

【Being able to make toys out of bamboo strips and wheat stalks is seriously so cool! If I’d met an uncle like that when I was little, I would’ve totally lost it】

【Xu Xishuang can make all these little trinkets, but poor Tudou the CEO’s toys are company ledgers hahaha】

“Alright, congratulations to all the parents for earning the right to go to the market,” Fei Yuan said weakly. “You’ve all completed today’s two check-in tasks. I hope you have a pleasant afternoon, but don’t forget—you still have to get up early tomorrow morning, or we’ll miss the morning market.”

Since there were no tasks in the afternoon, after taking a nap, the kids agreed to go out and play, running wild across the hills and getting close to nature. Sijidou and Pidan ran in front while Yan Qingci and Xiao Lajiao walked behind. Cheng Xiaohui, Bai Keke, and a few others kept an eye on them to make sure nothing unexpected happened.

Xiang Yao once again invited Xu Xishuang to go fishing, and once again got thoroughly beaten by him. Xu Xishuang caught a fish every five minutes on average, while Xiang Yao waited nearly half an hour to reel in a fish barely the size of his palm—and since it was too small, he had to release it in the end.

Unwilling to give up, Xiang Yao insisted on switching spots with Xu Xishuang, thinking that there must be more fish in the waters where he was standing. But after the switch, Xu Xishuang continued catching fish at the same steady pace, while Xiang Yao still couldn’t catch anything.

The live chat was full of laughter. Meanwhile, Yan Yushan, Liang Feng, and Lu Rui—looking strong and sturdy—had been invited by the villagers to help plant rice seedlings in the fields. They worked enthusiastically, quickly bonding with the locals.

That evening, back at their lodging, the kids covered in dirt and mud, along with their equally muddy fathers, met each other’s eyes and quietly headed to the bathroom together, cleaned themselves up, and went to bed.

Before falling asleep, Yan Qingci lay next to Xu Xishuang and softly told him where he had gone that afternoon, what he had seen, and even repeated a few playful conversations he had with other kids. As he listened, Xu Xishuang felt truly comforted—this variety show trip had definitely been worth it. In less than two days, Yan Qingci had already become much more lively.

Since they had to get up early the next morning, everyone went to bed early that night. At dawn, not long after the roosters started crowing, they were jolted awake by a barrage of messages from Fei Yuan. They got up groggily and got themselves ready. They gathered at the village entrance as Fei Yuan had instructed.

“Wake up, everyone,” Fei Yuan said cheerfully, holding up a flashlight. “Even going to the market comes with mission check-ins. The first mission is to successfully arrive at the market. The second mission is to sell all thirty straw hats and ten bamboo baskets made by the master craftsmen.”

He pointed behind him. “Take a look, these are your transportation options. It’s one ox cart, four bicycles, one tricycle, and one tractor. Please choose your own mode of transport. Of course, if you would rather not pick any of them, walking is perfectly fine too.”

“But let me remind you all,” Fei Yuan continued, “you have to carry the straw hats and bamboo baskets yourselves. The production team won’t deliver them for you.”

【This livestream is way too early. Good thing I pulled an all-nighter, or I would’ve missed it.】

【Take care of your health, commenter above. But seriously, Fei Yuan really set them up with those transportation options—he clearly wants the guests to ride bikes to the market.】

【If they ride bikes, how are they supposed to carry all that stuff? The bamboo baskets are huge. There’s no way they’ll fit on a bike’s rear rack!】

【They should be able to choose the tricycle, right? I remember Best Actor Xiang, Liang Feng, and Yan-ge all know how to ride motorcycles.】

【No, no—motorcycle licenses and electric tricycle licenses are different. You can’t drive a tricycle with just a motorcycle license.】

Fei Yuan knew perfectly well about the difference in licenses—that’s exactly why he didn’t provide motorcycles for those guests. Instead, he deliberately prepared a tricycle, just to put them in a tough spot. Either they obediently ride the bikes, or they walk.

Fei Yuan smugly curled his lips, thinking this time he’d finally gain the upper hand. He could already picture the guests riding bicycles or trudging along on foot.

The expressions of the other three families did indeed turn gloomy. They glanced at the bicycles and were just about to choose them when Xu Xishuang asked Fei Yuan, “Director Fei, are we only allowed to choose one vehicle per family?”

“Pick as many as you want,” Fei Yuan said generously. “Take however many as you like—as long as you can drive them away.”

Xu Xishuang nodded. “Alright, I’ll take the electric tricycle.”

Fei Yuan and the others: ?

Yan Yushan followed up, “I’ll take the tractor.”

Fei Yuan and the others: ??

“Wait,” Fei Yuan stared at them wide-eyed. “You do realize you need a license to drive those, right? Do you have one?”

Xu Xishuang nodded. “I do. I got it when I had some free time.”

Yan Yushan raised an eyebrow. “Me too. I had to get it for a role.”

Fei Yuan and the others: ???

【My first laugh of the morning goes to Fei Yuan, hahaha. Bet you didn’t see that coming! Turns out Shuangshuang can drive a tricycle! And Yan-ge can drive a tractor!!】

【This is the perfect example of shooting yourself in the foot, hahaha. Director Fei, you miscalculated again! You’ll never outsmart our Yan-ge and baby Shuangshuang!】

【Help, I can understand Yan-ge getting a tractor license for acting, but Xu Xishuang is hilarious—who just casually gets a license for an electric tricycle?!】

【Xu Xishuang’s hidden talent revealed! Tricycle god, hahaha!】

Before Fei Yuan could change his mind, Xu Xishuang had already taken Yan Qingci and hopped onto the electric tricycle, while Yan Yushan got into the tractor next to them. The other three families quickly caught on, hurriedly stacked the bamboo baskets, stuffed the straw hats inside, and loaded them all onto the tricycle Xu Xishuang was driving.

Bai Keke climbed onto the tricycle with Xiao Lajiao in her arms, and Cheng Xiaohui got on the tractor with Sijidou and Pidan. The remaining guests got on their bicycles. Without giving Fei Yuan a chance to say a word, they all set off for the market, leaving the production team’s car in the dust.

The live chat was nearly dying of laughter.

Fei Yuan: …This show is impossible to run.

With proper transportation, the trip to the market became much easier. Xu Xishuang drove the tricycle into the marketplace after a short while.

Though the town was small, the market that opened every three days still drew people from surrounding villages. Many were already there with baskets on their backs, browsing through stalls to pick out what they needed. The street was filled with hawking voices, and the air carried the warm, mouthwatering scent of steamed buns and dumplings.

Smelling the delicious aroma, the guests all agreed to take care of breakfast first before heading to the market to sell their goods. After all, they needed energy to complete their check-in tasks.

Just before they stepped into the breakfast shop, Xu Xishuang suddenly remembered something. He turned to the panting Fei Yuan, who had just caught up, and asked, “Where’s our stall for selling the goods?”

Fei Yuan replied with a lifeless stare, “Find it yourselves.”

After getting the unsurprising answer, Xu Xishuang nodded and followed the other guests into the breakfast shop.
