That day, Busan, which boasted a population of three million, looked desolate with no people on the streets.

Everyone had evacuated into the shelters spread across each district.

Of course, that only applied to people who could evacuate on their own. City officials, police officers, and hunters were busy evacuating those who had not yet left or who had trouble moving.

It was the same for the Busan branch of the Hunter Association. No matter how hard the employees stationed in Busan ran around until their feet hurt, there was no way they could resolve everything that came with a sudden disaster in such a big city.

    “Ha, haa.”

That was why Kim Jinyoung suddenly ended up being the one who had to welcome the S-rank hunters coming down from Seoul.

Kim Jinyoung was in his second year as an Association employee. He was a native of Busan, spoke with a Busan dialect, graduated from Busan National University, and had joined the Hunter Association’s Busan branch, so he knew Busan’s geography better than anyone.

Since in an important situation all the seniors were sent directly to the field, among the rookies the one with the most time in and the best knowledge of Busan was picked out naturally.

He did not even have time to feel amazed as he looked at Busan’s empty streets, where everyone had evacuated into district shelters, he wondered if Busan could really be this empty. He was too nervous and had to run to greet the S-rank hunters.

“Hello! I am Kim Jinyoung, an employee of the Busan Hunter Association. Please take care of me.”

As always, Kim Jinyoung greeted the hunters politely and handed out his business card. Most hunters belonged to guilds, and they gave off the impression of being like guild employees, so he had always done it that way.

He did not know if it was correct or not, but right now there was no one to tell him whether it was right or wrong.

There were also many S-rank hunters affiliated with guilds, but usually they were dispatched individually, so many of them did not have business cards. …Whatever.

While Kim Jinyoung was thinking, Choi Yerin casually reached out and took his card.

“Nice to meet you. But I am sorry, my brother Hangyeol and I do not have cards.”

“Ah, yes, yes! That is fine!”

Choi Hangyeol did not speak to Kim Jinyoung.

The gloomy man, who looked obviously unsocial, did not say a word until Yerin took the card, and only when the waiting dragged on he quietly spoke to her.

“Should we eat sashimi with Sejun later?”

    “Where?”

“I looked up some restaurants before I came here, there is a good place in Haeundae.”

“Make sure it is not a blog ad.”

“Ad? Do they even do ads on blogs?”

“Just stop talking. You make me frustrated.”

Since all S-rank hunters were based in Seoul or the capital area, the twins were the first S-rank hunters Kim Jinyoung had ever seen.

And his first impression was “…They are pretty and handsome, but I do not see what makes them so special.”

Some A-rank hunters he had seen in the field had left a stronger impression. So he had thought that an S-rank hunter would have a presence overwhelming just by standing nearby he might wet himself, but…

    They were ordinary.

Even their conversation looked like that of ordinary siblings, without any tension.

Did I expect too much? Or is it just these twins?

If he had not seen their faces often on TV and in the media, and if he had not memorized the photos of the hunters being dispatched today, he probably would not have believed just by looking at them that they were S-rank hunters.

Of course, aside from his personal judgment, just waiting in the same place as S-rank hunters he had never seen before was not comfortable, so Kim Jinyoung unnecessary cleared his throat, “Hm hm,” and quietly waited beside them.

The reason they were waiting was because Seo Sejun had not arrived yet.

If his arrival was going to take a long time, it would have been better to start searching right away, but since he was arriving soon, it was judged more efficient for Hangyeol and Sejun to begin searching together, so everyone was waiting.

Actually, what Kim Jinyoung was most curious about was none other than Seo Sejun.

Because he was a fan? Because he expected his achievements? No.

It was just curiosity about what it would be like to see in person the famous troublemaker who was always criticized on the internet.

On top of that, it was said that S-rank hunters excluded Seo Sejun…

It might have been confidential, but everyone knew, so he wondered if it was really true.

Association life was already tough, so you needed little hits of dopamine like that to endure.

Would he look even more ordinary than these two?

Kim Jin-young listened to the twins’ casual bickering while waiting. Then from far away, the sound of a car engine echoed loudly.

All three of their heads turned automatically.

On the empty road, a white car stood out as it approached.

    That is my dream car!

When Kim Jinyoung saw the shiny white PoXsche, he unconsciously drooled, and he saw Choi Hangyeol waving with a smile.

    “It is Sejun-hyung.”

The car stopped exactly next to Hangyeol’s car. The driving skill was close to miraculous.

The door opened and a tall man stepped out from the driver’s seat.

Kim Jinyoung’s first impression of Seo Sejun was “Huh, this guy looks ordinary too?”

It was not that his looks were plain like the twins, but that he gave off no strong impression at all.

If it had only been Seo Sejun, he might have thought “ah, is it because he is the weakest of the S-ranks?” But since the feeling was the same as with the twins, Jinyoung tilted his head. Why did S-ranks feel more ordinary than A-ranks?

As Sejun came closer to the three of them, he did have a kind of unique atmosphere.

Jinyoung had assumed he would be frivolous, endlessly easygoing, but that prejudice was immediately shattered by the heavy atmosphere around him.

He could not figure out what it was, and it was hard to explain in words, but it was that unique.

But separate from that feeling… Jinyoung swallowed his saliva. He was damn handsome.

Someone had once said, if Seo Sejun just kept his mouth shut, he had a heavenly face.

That even if he suddenly gave up being a hunter and became an actor, even if his acting was terrible, most people would not think badly of him.

Of course, not many people said it that nicely. Usually people criticized him, saying why not just become an actor instead of being a hunter when he looked like he had no talent, and why cause trouble after trouble.

For some reason, people acted like they had a disease where they could not talk about Seo Sejun without twisting their words.

But aside from thinking he looked even better in person, what should he call it?

Should he call it a strange presence?

It was different from the presence he had felt from A-rank hunters. It was something like an aura that made him look like a main character.

Of course, if he told anyone he had felt that kind of emotion looking at Seo Sejun, he would be laughed at immediately, but anyway that was how it was.

    “Sejun-hyung~”

Choi Yerin nodded her head as a greeting, and Choi Hangyeol welcomed Sejun warmly.

Sejun made a face that saidwhat the hell is this bastard doing?” The kind where his thoughts showed straight on his face. Jinyoung inwardly agreed.

“You parked next to my car?”

At Hangyeol’s words, Sejun looked even more displeased.

    “So what, you crazy bastard?”

His voice didn’t sound frivolous at all, unlike what Jinyoung had expected. It was actually a pleasant low tone, and Jinyoung found himself thinking “huh, this is not what I imagined.”

It was strange. Nothing matched the vague image he had had of Seo Sejun.

Seo Sejun’s photos that others had taken and uploaded online were always of him looking a mess after clearing a dungeon, or taken from so far away it was hard to recognize him.

The only official photos were profile shots, but those too failed to capture his real appearance, and felt very different from what he saw now.

“It matters, I like your car. That white one.”

On top of that, not only his voice and appearance were different from what Jinyoung had imagined, but contrary to the rumor that he was excluded, the twins were showing no hostility toward Seo Sejun, even acting familiar with him. Of course, Yerin showed no reaction, but unlike her, Hangyeol clearly welcomed Sejun.

Something, something was completely different from what he had imagined…

“7879, right?” Hangyeol hummed cheerfully as he said it. Sejun made a displeased expression. Without words, his face showed exactly what he was thinking, why the hell is this bastard memorizing my license plate?
