Chapter 67 – Werewolf
by Salted FishXie Chian looked sideways. “Did Wang Xiaoshu tell you?”
Shen Fubai nodded, filled with reverence. “Yes. Are you a martial arts expert of the present age, carrying internal energy? May I ask who your master was, did you practice martial arts since childhood?”
Xie Chian shook his head.
Shen Fubai became even more awestruck. “Then which direct descendant of an ancient martial arts family are you?”
“I just threw the whole bag of rice down from the mountain,” Xie Chian explained in a matter-of-fact scientific manner. “According to gravitational acceleration, even a tiger should have been crushed to death. It just happened to hit that chicken.”
At the time, Xie Chian saw the bugs crawling all over the hard and yellow rice in the rice container. He expressionlessly carried the entire bag of rice out and threw it away, then took money to the village chief’s house to exchange it for soft and white rice.
The impact of the high-altitude object was unimaginable, and that unlucky chicken met its end.
Shen Fubai didn’t expect such a down-to-earth reason. It wasn’t as impressive as he had imagined, but it was very real.
He felt a little disappointed. Boys admired heroes to some extent, revered the great martial arts masters, and he thought he could actually meet a true expert in reality.
“You’ve disappointed me.” Xie Chian saw through his thoughts, his expression unchanged. “I’m just a weak man who can’t truss a chicken.”
Jiang Heng held reservations about this statement. Xie Chian exuded an aura that screamed, “I’m an expert.”
The naive Shen Fubai believed it, even patted Xie Chian’s shoulder in consolation. “It’s alright, I am too. At least you dare to kill cockroaches.”
“Brother! Brother! Something’s wrong!” A hurried pace approached, Wang Xiaoshu panting heavily as he ran over from afar.
“What’s going on? Slow down.” Shen Fubai supported him, preventing Wang Xiaoshu from falling due to running too fast on the gravel path.
“I finally found you.” Wang Xiaoshu was red-faced and breathless, clearly having searched for them for a long time.
He pointed in the direction of the village. “This afternoon, when I played hide-and-seek with Brother Ye and the others, I hid in Uncle Wang Er’s kitchen cabinet. Then I heard Uncle Wang Er and Aunt Wang Er talking; they’re going to drug Sister Chen and Sister Li! They’re going to do something bad!”
Chen Huihui and Li Jingwen were Xie Chian’s classmates, and the two of them were staying at Uncle Wang Er’s house.
Xie Chian’s brows furrowed slightly. “They’ve made their move.”
“Furthermore, furthermore, I also heard…” Wang Xiaoshu was gasping for breath. “Not just them, everyone is in danger! Everyone has joined forces to harm you!”
The group exchanged glances, none of them hesitating, rushing toward the village at breakneck speed.
Wang Xiaoshu had already spent quite a bit of time finding them; if they were late, it would be too late.
_
The group arrived at the village entrance, and Shen Fubai shouted, “Get weapons first!” They couldn’t possibly fight a group of villagers unarmed.
Xie Chian asked, “Where are the weapons? Use stones to smash?”
Jiang Heng said, “Props department.”
In the second abandoned house at the village entrance, there were props needed for the crew’s filming. The knives and guns were made of foam, but there were still some solid wooden sticks.
Shen Fubai entered the house first, grabbed a two-meter-long stilt, and broke it in half instantly when he hit it against a stone. The youth, who had always appeared weak and harmless, displayed unexpectedly great strength, his slender wrist exerting tremendous force.
“Rehearsing for the play before it even starts.” Shen Fubai tossed half of the stilt to Jiang Heng, rarely getting fired up.
Xie Chian picked up a stilt and glanced at Shen Fubai.
“Do you need help?” Shen Fubai asked Xie Chian.
Xie Chian withdrew his gaze, silent, and snapped the stilt in his hand.
Shen Fubai: “…”
What a weak man who can’t truss a chicken.
_
The group left the house and split up in unison, heading to rescue their female companions first.
At the village chief’s house.
Yu Xiaoxiao was lying unconscious on the bed, a bowl of unfinished mung bean soup beside her.
Wang Hui swallowed nervously, gently closed the door, and walked toward Yu Xiaoxiao on the bed.
He greedily stared at Yu Xiaoxiao’s beautiful face, his heart pounding wildly and his eyes filled with infatuation.
He removed Yu Xiaoxiao’s clothes and was about to undo his own belt.
“Yu Xiaoxiao, you—” Yang Yingying suddenly pushed the door open, her eyes changing as she saw the man on top of Yu Xiaoxiao. She yelled fiercely, “What are you doing?!”
Wang Hui was startled, his body trembling as he turned around instantly.
“Bastard!” Seeing Yu Xiaoxiao, who was unconscious, and the mung bean soup placed beside the bed, and recalling the strange attitude of the mother and son that afternoon, Yang Yingying understood everything.
She immediately went forward and threw Wang Hui off the bed, flipping him onto the ground. Lying there, Wang Hui was about to get up when Yang Yingying’s high heels stomped down hard on his leg, grinding it severely. Wang Hui let out a piercing scream.
“You, you—” Wang Hui never expected this beautiful woman to have such strength; he was completely unable to resist.
Yang Yingying smiled seductively. “Do you recognize me?”
Wang Hui nodded repeatedly, tears streaming down his face. Who didn’t recognize the infamous villainess on TV? Who would have thought that this woman was so vicious in reality! The TV series didn’t deceive me!
“Sister not only acts as a wicked villainess, but also started her career as an action actress.” As Yang Yingying spoke, she casually picked up the thermos cup on the table and knocked Wang Hui unconscious.
Hearing her son’s scream, the village chief’s wife rushed over. At the door, she saw the vixen stepping on her son. Realizing where Yang Yingying had stepped…
The village chief’s wife rolled her eyes and fainted.
“Sufang, Sufang, what’s wrong with you?” The village chief exclaimed in shock. Looking up, he saw a stunningly beautiful woman standing in front of him, her red lips slightly parted as she said, “Old thing, do you know anything about this?”
Like a fierce ghost devouring human essence in the mountains.
The village chief trembled as he looked at his unconscious wife and then at his even more pitiful son inside, lying down on the ground and closing his eyes in a self-righteous manner.
Yang Yingying stepped over the village chief, frowning. She felt something was wrong and decided to check on the other households.
_
At Wang Laoba’s house.
Wang Laoba was a bachelor in the village, idle and lazy, and in his forties without a wife. But recently, a fairy-like beauty moved into his home, and today he was going to marry her.
—Before giving the drugged water to Mu Yao, Wang Laoba thought this way.
Mu Yao took the bowl of water, pausing before drinking. She sniffed lightly and said slowly, “I’ve traveled north and south for so many years, and this is the first time someone has plotted against me.”
She threw the bowl, grabbed Wang Laoba’s collar, and slammed him against the wall. “Tell me, what do you want to do? If you dare to drug me and I don’t give you a lesson, I don’t deserve to be a martial arts instructor!”
Wang Laoba wasn’t a man of integrity. After Mu Yao beat him up, he confessed everything while shivering, crying and begging for mercy from the “female hero.”
After hearing this, Mu Yao gritted her teeth. “Bastard!” But she didn’t beat Wang Laoba again and left to save others.
_
At Uncle Wang Er’s house.
Two girls, one unconscious on the floor, the other collapsed on the table. Uncle Wang Er and Aunt Wang Er exchanged glances, revealing triumphant smiles.
They had two sons, one a lazybones and the other mentally challenged, neither of whom any girl wanted to marry. But weren’t there two delicate beauties who had come knocking on their door? And they didn’t even need to pay a dowry, not even the price of an egg…
As the couple fantasized about their future, the door to their old wooden house was kicked open with a single kick, the entire door collapsing and completely ruined.
“…” The couple was stunned.
The young man with cold features gave them a fleeting glance, his eyes as icy as snow.
Uncle Wang Er immediately picked up the broom beside him and warned the youth, “Don’t come any closer!” He recognized this kid as one of the girls’ classmates, but could a brat who hadn’t even grown his whiskers save anyone?
Thinking about how the youth kicked the door down, Uncle Wang Er felt a chill in his heart and said sternly, “If you leave my house now, I’ll pretend nothing happened…”
Xie Chian didn’t even use the stilt, directly approaching and kicking the broom out of Uncle Wang Er’s hand. Catching the falling broom, he pressed the man to the ground and rubbed him on the ground, taking the opportunity to grab the hemp rope hanging on the wall and tie the couple together.
After finishing this, he turned and went to the next house.

Jiang Heng encountered Ye Ziran and Xiao Ye halfway.
“Hey, Brother Jiang, you have a golden cudgel too?” Ye Ziran looked at the stick in Jiang Heng’s hand.
Jiang Heng glanced at Xiao Ye, who was clearly out of place. Time was pressing, and he spoke succinctly, “Little Ziran, help me out.”
Ye Ziran’s skills were personally taught by him, and he knew the child’s capabilities.
_
Ye Ziran whistled in the open space. “All the kids come out, I have tasks for you!”
Soon, the children in the village gathered from all directions.
Holding Xiao Ye’s hand, Ye Ziran stood behind him, finding the scene of everyone responding to his call quite novel.
“Boss, what’s up?” a child asked.
“Huh, who’s this?” a child curiously looked at Xiao Ye.
These children were still innocent, unaware of their elders’ plans, nor did they know how filthy the village they lived in was.
“Forget about that for now. Those of you whose families have female guests, go back and distract your parents! Keep them occupied! Those without guests, go to other people’s houses, cause trouble or be guests, whatever, just make a mess!” Ye Ziran issued orders.
The kids chattered. “Why is that?”
Ye Ziran: “Will you listen to the king’s words? Do you still want candy?” He pulled out a handful of candies from his pocket. “If you do well, I’ll give them to you!”
Monkeys: “We’ll take care of it right away!”
The children scattered like birds and beasts. Xiao Ye then said, “Why do they listen to you so much?”
“Interest drives the heart. I give them things, so they will work for me.” Ye Ziran mysteriously weighed the candies in his hand, peeled a candy wrapper, and handed it to Xiao Ye. “Here.”
Xiao Ye blinked. “But I haven’t done anything for you.”
“You’re different.” Ye Ziran felt Xiao Ye was pitiful for being kidnapped, and he had an obligation to take care of him. “Give these candies to them to share. I have more.”
He pulled out many fruit-flavored candies from another pocket. “All for you.”
Xiao Ye was stuffed with a handful of candies.
“I’m going to save the world with my golden cudgel.” Ye Ziran said seriously. “Stay here.”
“Eh…” Before Xiao Ye could express his concern, Ye Ziran had already rushed into the house with an “Ahh Aah,” shouting, “Monster! The Great Sage is here!”
“…” Watching Ye Ziran drag out a bruised and battered adult man from the house, Xiao Ye’s eyes revealed admiration.
_
“Fucking bastard.” Shen Fubai slammed the man to the ground with a stick, still not venting his anger as he kicked him once more.
Another middle-aged woman screamed and rushed over with a pot in hand. “Don’t touch my husband!”
Shen Fubai turned around and kicked her to the ground. The woman loosened her grip, and the pot fell, covering her face.
Forget about not hitting women at this moment; scum didn’t differentiate between men and women.
“What kind of marital affection are you acting out? Just because your feelings are feelings, does that mean others deserve to have their lives ruined? Tell me what’s wrong with you, helping your husband rape someone’s daughter?” When Shen Fubai came in, the man was on top of that girl, almost succeeding.
And what about the woman? She was keeping watch.
This was actually a married couple.
The woman removed the pot lid from her face and yelled, “I can’t give birth to a son, and I can’t afford to buy a son. Is it wrong for me to help my husband find a concubine?!”
Shen Fubai was speechless.
There were many places, many people, and many things in this world that were absurd and didn’t make sense. What you thought was a far-fetched tale was something they took for granted. This ignorant viciousness was deeply rooted in their bones, forever and ever, generation after generation.
The man behind him got up, his eyes filled with malice, grabbing the kitchen knife on the cutting board and swinging it at Shen Fubai’s back.
Another hand faster than lightning gripped his wrist, effortlessly twisting it.
The man passed out from the pain.
“Heng Heng.” Shen Fubai turned to see Jiang Heng, relaxing his guard.
Jiang Heng grunted and clasped his hand. “Let’s go.”
_
At six-thirty, night fell.
A team of six people, consisting of Shen Fubai, Jiang Heng, Xie Chian, Ye Ziran, Yang Yingying, and Mu Yao, slaughtered the entire village.
They were truly a pack of werewolves.
In the central open space of the village, the villagers were bound and thrown to the ground. After questioning, several were identified as the masterminds of this incident, while the other villagers were accomplices.
The rest were still asleep, and would wake up when the effects of the drugs wore off. Among the outsiders, only six were awake—the discovered Xiao Ye didn’t count.
But it was these six people who, using violence, completely disrupted the villagers’ plan.
—If reason doesn’t work, then use fists.
In the distance, faint sirens sounded, police cars with red lights arriving at the entrance of this mountain village.
Several police officers in uniform got out of the police car, the leading officer coming forward and saying, “Hello, are you the ‘Pear Blossoms’ crew? We received a distress call, a crew mistakenly entered a mountain…” His gaze became incredulous as he saw the bound villagers on the ground.
“…You kidnapped the entire village?!”
