    Chapter Index

One of the world’s top three theme parks didn’t earn its reputation for nothing. Shen Fubai was having a great time here.

In the morning, they had a blast at the lower section of the park. The lower area mostly featured thrilling rides like roller coasters, each with themes from different movies. For instance…

“Transformers!” Shen Fubai dragged Jiang Heng over to queue up. Transformers was one of the main attractions in the lower area, allowing visitors to experience saving the Earth in a lifelike way through a roller coaster ride enhanced by 3D effects.

Jiang Heng’s brow twitched; he wouldn’t admit that he’d never been on a roller coaster before and was now a bit scared.

He couldn’t bear to disappoint the excited Shen Fubai, who had come here to play. Jiang Heng decided to give it a try.

Fortunately, there weren’t many people around, so there wasn’t a long line. They didn’t have to wait for too long.

    On the roller coaster.

Shen Fubai cheered, “Aaaaaah, it’s so much fun!!!”

Jiang Heng screamed, “Aaaaaah, let me down!!!”

The roller coaster ride wasn’t long, just a few minutes, but the visual effects were stunning.

After getting off, Shen Fubai was still savoring the experience. “That was so exciting. I really want to go back and do it again.”

Jiang Heng, pale-faced, thought, No, I refuse.

    He found the attraction terrible.

“Can we?” Shen Fubai looked at him hopefully. “Since there aren’t many people now, let’s go again. There’ll be a long queue later.”

    Jiang Heng: “…Okay.”

    Again.

    Shen Fubai was thrilled. “Yeehaw!!!”

Jiang Heng looked at Shen Fubai’s completely relaxed side profile, his lips curved upward in a beautiful smile.

Well, as long as it made Fubai happy, it wasn’t a bad attraction.

Jiang Heng tried to fully relax and enjoy the thrills. It was his first time on a roller coaster, and he had been too nervous to notice his surroundings. Now, focusing on the scenery around him, he realized that the 3D visuals were indeed impressive. He became immersed in it, putting aside his fear of the roller coaster.

Okay, he had to admit it, he thought this attraction was amazing.

After the second round, Shen Fubai was still not satisfied, but he didn’t plan to continue. They had several other places to visit today.

Following the park map, they soon came across a new attraction, with an English name written on it – Revenge of the Mummy.

Shen Fubai translated it automatically. “Revenge of the Mummy…”

Jiang Heng felt it sounded creepy.

Shen Fubai’s smile turned slightly deranged. “This sounds interesting, Heng Heng, let’s go!”

Ten minutes later, they were on another roller coaster.

Jiang Heng wore an expressionless face, as if he was about to be executed.

Many amusement park attractions loved to use roller coasters as a means to provide experiences. Jiang Heng had just gotten used to it, but the name of this game gave him a bad feeling.

Jiang Heng started imagining a skeleton suddenly hanging in front of him halfway through the roller coaster ride, or a mummy coming right up to him.

Unexpectedly, the first half of the attraction was quite gentle, not as scary as he had imagined. Jiang Heng gradually found it enjoyable during the ride. Just when he started to fully enjoy everything, he saw the skeleton hanging in front of him.

Jiang Heng: “…His heart skipped a beat.

Beside him, Shen Fubai cheerfully greeted the skeleton. “Hello!”

When the skeleton above finally moved away, Jiang Heng saw a mummy right in front of him.

    “…”

Jiang Heng died. A white ghost floated out of his body and slowly ascended to heaven.

And Shen Fubai even said goodbye to the mummy happily. “Bye, nice to meet you. See you again!”

Jiang Heng found Shen Fubai terrifying for the first time.

There were three major attractions in the lower section: Transformers, Revenge of the Mummy, and Jurassic Park. They had experienced the first two, and now they were going to the last one.

Unlike the previous two, this attraction was a water-based roller coaster that would get them wet. It was already late, and a long queue had formed in front of Jurassic Park. Jiang Heng bought some raincoats and returned to see the seemingly endless line.

They lined up at the end of the queue. Shen Fubai gave a concise summary. “Five minutes of fun, two hours of queuing.”

It was exaggerated; it wasn’t actually two hours, but they queued for fifty-nine minutes and seven seconds.

Shen Fubai’s feet were sore from standing, leaning against Jiang Heng as he said, “We should take a photo together.” Then he opened the front camera on his phone and took a group photo of the two of them in landscape mode.

No beauty filters, no effects, but fortunately, their looks were good enough.

Shen Fubai restrained the urge to post it on Weibo. He wanted to share their location and the photo, telling the whole country that he was spending a happy holiday with his Heng Heng, but doing so would undoubtedly cause a lot of trouble.

Top celebrities also had their hardships, like a certain Xavier who woke up every day running in Temple Run.

The wait was long, but it was worth it.

When they splashed down at the end, they were soaked, but luckily they had worn raincoats. Even so, their clothes and shoes couldn’t avoid getting wet from the water.

But it didn’t matter; the sun was strong at noon, and they dried off quickly.

After finishing the three major attractions, the morning slipped away quietly. They found a Starbucks to grab something to eat.

“Where should we go this afternoon?” Shen Fubai chewed on his straw while flipping through the park’s itinerary. “There are several shows at Water World after one o’clock. We can spend the entire afternoon in the upper section… Oh my god, Harry Potter Theme Park!” He suddenly closed the map. “I’m going!”

Jiang Heng reminded him, “Finish your food first.”

“Once we finish eating, we’ll go.” Shen Fubai ignored the shows; his whole body was filled with excitement. “I want to walk through Platform 9¾ and arrive at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Slytherin forever!”

Jiang Heng took a sip of his drink. “I’m with Gryffindor.”

Shen Fubai: “Get lost, I declare we’re not friends anymore.”

Jiang Heng didn’t care. “I’m your boyfriend.”

After finishing lunch at Starbucks, they followed the map to find the Harry Potter Theme Park. Along the way, Shen Fubai was attracted to a Minion standing by the roadside for photos with tourists.

“Minion!” Shen Fubai ran over, hugging the Minion. “Heng Heng, take a picture for us!”

    He made a victory sign.

The Minion seemed to freeze for a moment, then thought about it and also made a victory sign.

Jiang Heng took a photo of the two with his phone. He was more skilled than Shen Fubai’s straight-man photography. He turned on the beauty filter, adjusted the effects, found the best angle, and the final result was like a divine being descending.

In front of a fairy-tale-like background, a handsome young man hugged a cute Minion. The young man smiled brightly, and the Minion’s headgear also had a smiling mouth.

    Perfect.

After taking the photo, Shen Fubai said to the Minion, “Thank you. Bye,” then walked away with Jiang Heng, glancing at the photo they had just taken.

The Minion immediately went to a secluded corner, took off his headgear, revealing that handsome European face.

Xavier took out his phone and called someone. “Help!”

The call was answered by Antonia. “Oh, dear little Xavier, I’m so glad you’re still alive.”

Xavier checked the contact interface, making sure he was calling Director Chapman correctly. “Why are you answering the call?”

Antonia: “Are you not happy to hear from me? You’ve made me sad; I’ve been worried all morning why you haven’t come yet.”

Xavier: “You don’t care about me; you only care if your eyeshadow matches your lipstick today.”

Antonia asked eagerly, “So what do you think of my makeup today?”

Xavier was about to explode. “I haven’t seen you at all today! Where’s Director Chapman?!”

“He’s in the restroom, oh, here he comes.”

Soon, the call was picked up by the right person. Chapman asked, “Xavier, where are you?”

“I’m at the rest area in front of the Harry Potter Theme Park, hiding behind a trash can.” Xavier hurriedly said, “I’ve been discovered, I’ve been hiding from fans all morning, and now I have to put on a Minion costume to entertain guests here. I don’t dare to go out now, quickly send someone to rescue me, thank you. Ah!” He suddenly covered his head; the back of his head was hit by a bottle of mineral water.

He turned around to see a teenage girl standing there in a daze. She originally wanted to apologize for not throwing the mineral water bottle accurately into the trash can, but she saw Xavier’s face.

    One second, two seconds.

“Damn,” Xavier said to the phone. “I’ve been discovered again, no time to talk!” Then he hung up the call, jumped out of the Minion costume, and rushed into the crowd.

The little girl let out a deafening scream. “Mom! I saw Xavier!!!”

Shen Fubai finished a donut, holding a vanilla ice cream cone, licking it gently.

Jiang Heng also had an ice cream in his hand, which was chocolate flavored.

“Taste mine.” Jiang Heng held the ice cream near his mouth, and Shen Fubai took a bite, leaving a row of tiny teeth marks on the brown ice cream ball.

“Mmm, it’s so sweet.” Shen Fubai’s lips were stained with a ring of black chocolate, which Jiang Heng carefully wiped off with a napkin.

Shen Fubai looked down, then suddenly smiled.

Jiang Heng raised his eyes. “What are you grinning about?”

“Nothing.” Shen Fubai’s eyes curved. “I just feel so happy.”

“I’m having a great time today,” he said. “This is my first time at an amusement park, and it’s with someone I like. I feel so lucky.”

Jiang Heng paused. “You’ve never been to an amusement park before?” Any kid should have been to an amusement park.

“Been there. But it doesn’t count.” Shen Fubai smiled. “It only counts when I’m with you.”

    Jiang Heng’s lips curled slightly.

Suddenly, there was a commotion in the crowd, with loud voices and chaos.

Shen Fubai and Jiang Heng looked over. The local American tourists seemed to be agitated, looking around for something. Some foreign tourists who didn’t know what was going on followed suit, looking left and right.

Shen Fubai stayed away from the crowd, observing the situation, but unexpectedly, disaster struck. A person wearing a hooded cloak rushed over and accidentally bumped into Shen Fubai.

Instantly, a chunk of Shen Fubai’s vanilla ice cream fell off.

    “…”

An angry Shen Fubai immediately grabbed the person trying to leave. “Compensate for my ice cream!!!”

The person turned around in panic, his eyes as blue as the ocean.

Shen Fubai was stunned for a moment, then pulled him to a secluded place with a cold face, repeating himself. “Compensate for my ice cream.”

Seeing that it was the Asian man he had bumped into last night and then dragged along for a photo, Xavier sighed inwardly about fate while heaving a sigh of relief. A foreigner shouldn’t recognize him.

“Sorry, I have something very important to do, can I leave?” Xavier requested.

Shen Fubai glanced at the crowd outside. “Your important thing is to escape, are you a wanted criminal?”

Xavier: “Yes! I’m a wanted criminal!” Being a wanted criminal was safer than his identity as a big star.

Shen Fubai didn’t look back. “Heng Heng, call 911.”

Jiang Heng really took out his phone.

“No! Stop!” Xavier was anxious. “Okay, I admit, I’m a celebrity, you see, I’m hiding from their pursuit. My name is Xavier Electra, you can Google my name to prove I’m not lying.”

“You finally admit it, Xavier.” Shen Fubai said darkly. “I, hate, you.”

Ever since last night, Xavier had knocked him over, rubbed off his ring, and caused him to get his new clothes dirty, and today he had lost an ice cream.

That was an ice cream! Such a deep grudge, Shen Fubai couldn’t let it go.

Xavier was horrified. “Could you be my haters?!” God, he didn’t have many fans abroad yet, did he already have haters?

“Yes.” Shen Fubai hummed softly. “Now, I’m going to drag you to a deserted place and kill you.”

Xavier heard “deserted place” and instantly relaxed, completely ignoring the latter half of the sentence. He said sincerely, “Thank you.”

    Shen Fubai: “???”
