TSBDRA Parenting Variety Show Extra 7 End
by starlightxelPVS EXTRA 7 – You Have to Grow Up Healthy and Happy.
Since Fei Yuan didn’t take away the guests’ phones at the start of the show, they could still use them to pay for breakfast.
The four kids weren’t picky eaters at all. Even plain steamed buns with salty pickled radish tasted delicious to them. Except for Xiao Lajiao, who still needed help being fed and was a bit slower, the other three boys were competing to see who could eat faster and more. If the other parents hadn’t noticed and stopped them in time, they would’ve headed to the market burping all the way.
【Gahaha so cute, do boys really have such a strong sense of competition from such a young age?】
【Yan Tudou is visibly becoming more lively—who even remembers how cool and aloof he was on the first day, saying Ultraman wasn’t real? Now he’s racing with the other kids to see who can eat the fastest】
【It’s such a simple breakfast, but why does it look so delicious when they eat it? Ugh, now I want breakfast too. Is this secretly a foodie show or something?】
All four families had high visual appeal, attracting the attention of many passersby. Because the kids were so adorable, the breakfast shop owner even gave them a free basket of soup dumplings. Since it was still early, most of the people at the market were elderly and there’s young folks around so no one recognized them.
After paying for breakfast, Xu Xishuang asked the breakfast shop owner who came to collect the dishes, “Boss, excuse me, if we want to set up a stall, are there any spots left?”
The others had also heard Fei Yuan’s earlier response and knew he hadn’t arranged a stall for them. They would have to find one themselves, so they all turned hopeful eyes toward the owner.
The breakfast shop owner, caught off guard by being stared at by so many good-looking people and cute kids, nearly dropped a plate. After thinking for a few seconds, he said, “The good spots are usually snatched up early. If you go now, it’s already too late.”
“But you can set up right in front of my shop,” he added quickly when he saw their disappointed faces. “You’re only setting up for a day, right? As long as you don’t block the entrance, you can set up however you like.”
Besides snatching good spots at the market, there was also a stretch of space between the storefronts and the road where stalls could be set up. In those cases, you usually had to clear it with the shop owners first. Blocking someone’s entrance and affecting their customers would definitely cause conflict.
The sudden turn of events left the guests momentarily stunned. They quickly thanked the shop owner, and Cheng Xiaohui immediately started showering him with one blessing after another, each one different, making the owner beam with joy.
【Hahaha the shop owner is just too cute—this middle-aged uncle is so happy, he’s practically floating from all the compliments】
【Cheng Xiaohui really deserves her reputation as a top host. If she praised me like that, I’d be floating too hahaha】
【Everyone please join me in looking at Fei Yuan’s expression—screenshot it for memes! His shocked face is absolutely hilarious hahaha】
【I feel like in this episode, all the tricky tasks Fei Yuan gave the guests have been effortlessly handled. I’m calling it now, the upcoming straw hat and bamboo basket challenge will be a breeze too】
After breakfast, the guests all went to the tricycle Xu Xishuang had parked and took down the straw hats and bamboo baskets they needed to sell. Once they had all their items, Fei Yuan had the production team remove all the transportation vehicles.
The ten bamboo baskets and twenty straw hats didn’t take up much space, but with all twelve of them standing together, it did feel a bit crowded.
So after discussing it, they decided to leave one person behind to watch the stall, while the rest split up around the market to look around and check out the going rates for bamboo baskets and straw hats, so they could figure out a fair price to sell them for.
Yan Qingci insisted on walking by himself, so Xu Xishuang let him while holding his hand as they weaved through the crowd. Yan Yushan walked ahead, clearing the way for them and creating a space where they wouldn’t be jostled. He glanced back from time to time to make sure the two were keeping up before continuing forward.
Tudou’s family was quiet and warm, while Pidan’s family ran into a bit of a spat over a toy. Although the town market didn’t have anything particularly novel, a brightly colored, bizarre toy rooster that clucked while running and laid eggs caught Pidan’s attention. He started whining, asking Liang Feng and Cheng Xiaohui to buy it for him, and ended up getting a hard flick on the forehead from Liang Feng, bursting into loud sobs in front of everyone.
In the end, Liang Feng gave in and bought the toy. Pidan immediately stopped crying and broke into a grin, switching moods so fast it made people wonder if the whole dramatic crying episode had been an act.
The bullet comments were filled with laughter again, with many recommending that Pidan grow up to be an actor. Quite a few viewers also wanted the same egg-laying rooster toy, thinking it had serious market potential.
Elsewhere, Sijidou was holding Xiang Yao’s hand, walking forward while tirelessly asking where Xiao Lajiao was, why Xiao Lajiao hadn’t come with them, and whether she would be lonely staying behind all by herself.
Xiang Yao was about to lose it from all the questions and turned to Chen Yurou, asking, “Does this count as a son growing up and leaving you behind?”
Chen Yurou: “…Maybe.”
【A son growing up and leaving you behind, I’m dying of laughter—Sijidou really likes Xiao Lajiao so much! Childhood sweethearts are just too sweet】
【Who doesn’t love a sweet girl! Should Best Actor Xiang start building ties with Bai Keke and Lu Rui now? They might end up as in-laws someday~】
【Sijidou’s first question at the start of the show was about Xiao Lajiao, and now he’s still thinking about her. But Xiao Lajiao has never really shown any special reaction to him hahaha】
【I think Xiao Lajiao seems to like Yan Tudou more. When they went up the mountain yesterday afternoon, she stuck close to Tudou the whole time and even started a conversation with him. But Tudou only has work on his mind—is this the beginning of a love triangle hahaha】
【Pidan: Love has nothing to do with me. My heart belongs to toys.】
After walking around the market, everyone returned to the stall and shared what they had found.
There were actually quite a few people selling straw hats and bamboo baskets, but business was slow for all of them. Their products didn’t really have any edge in the market, so trying to sell without lowering prices might be a bit difficult.
CEO Tudou fully grasped the seriousness of the situation and CEO Tudou would not allow his products to end up unsold. He furrowed his brows like a little grown-up and turned to ask Liang Feng, who was squatting nearby playing with the egg-laying rooster toy alongside Pidan, “Uncle Liang, if we don’t complete the task and fail to sell all these products, what will happen? Will we lose a lot?”
Liang Feng was originally going to say that since the products were prepared by the show, even if they didn’t sell, the crew couldn’t really do anything to them—at most, it would just mean failing a task.
But looking at Yan Qingci’s serious little face, Liang Feng could tell he was genuinely worried. Suddenly wanting to tease him, he deliberately sighed and put on a worried expression. “Sigh, if we don’t sell them, we won’t have money. If we don’t have money, we can’t afford lunch. That means we’ll have to survive on the northwest wind.”
As he spoke, he even opened his mouth wide and took two exaggerated breaths. “Quick, let’s breathe in more northwest wind now, so we won’t be hungry at lunchtime.”
Pidan and Sijidou, standing nearby, were completely taken in by Liang Feng. After hesitating a few seconds, they also opened their mouths and sucked in two big gulps of air.
Yan Qingci looked at their actions, then looked up at the sun, confirmed their position, and asked Liang Feng in confusion, “But Uncle Liang, we’re facing northeast right now?”
Liang Feng: …
Liang Feng: “Don’t worry about the details.”
“…Alright, I’ll stop teasing you. We do have money for lunch.” Liang Feng wiped his face and said to the other parents who were trying not to laugh, “Kids these days are really hard to fool.”
【Gagaga facing northeast and trying to drink northwest wind—I’m losing it, this parenting show is killing me with laughter】
【Don’t even think about fooling CEO Tudou! Our CEO Tudou can tell directions! Hahaha!】
【I’m seriously so curious about what Yan Tudou is studying every day. He can actually use the sun to figure out direction—I can’t even do that, sob sob, I’m worse than a three-year-old】
While Liang Feng was talking with Yan Qingci, the other guests had already come up with a plan to sell the products, and that was—
Put on a talent show!
Cheng Xiaohui wasn’t just a great host—she was also a natural at hawking goods. Her voice was loud, her speech fast and clear, and in just one minute, she continuously used different words to praise the straw hats and bamboo baskets. She also gave a unique blessing to every passerby, never repeating herself, which drew a crowd of curious people to stop and gather around their stall.
With Cheng Xiaohui drawing in the crowd, Liang Feng also let loose. He put on a straw hat and did a classic moonwalk. The nearby grandmas and grandpas didn’t really understand what he was doing, but that didn’t stop them from thinking it was impressive. They clapped and cheered, treating him like a street performer.
After Liang Feng finished dancing, Bai Keke and Lu Rui jumped in next. One sang soprano, the other sang bass, performing a duet of a mountain folk song that completely fired up the enthusiasm of the elderly audience. Cheng Xiaohui seized the moment to promote the straw hats and bamboo baskets, and in no time, half of the goods were sold.
After Bai Keke and Lu Rui finished their song, Xu Xishuang, Yan Yushan, Chen Yurou, and Xiang Yao took the stage together and performed a classic opera piece for the gathered crowd. The remaining half of the goods were quickly sold out, completing the task perfectly.
【Goodness me, I’m seriously impressed—these guests are full of hidden talents!】
【I’m laughing so hard—I never thought I’d live to see Lu Rui and Bai Keke, two pop singers, actually sing a mountain folk song. Who can even process this feeling?!】
【Xu Xishuang’s opera singing is so beautiful. Is that role a huadan or a qingyi? Did he actually study opera before?】
【It’s qingyi! Chen Yurou was singing huadan! Huadan’s supposed to be more playful hahaha. Xu Xishuang openly molds himself into a goddess, so I will too—my wife sings so beautifully, my wife is stunning!】
【I seriously regret not being there in person. This many A-list celebrities performing for free—who could resist that?!】
While the adults were performing, the kids stood off to the side of the stall, clapping and cheering along.
Xiao Lajiao stood quietly in a corner, holding a bag of chips. Not far from her, a group of kids were shoving and jostling, and finally, a boy about the same height as Pidan stepped out and ran up to Xiao Lajiao. He asked her a few questions, but Xiao Lajiao just looked at him without saying a word.
The little boy was getting anxious. He looked at the chips in Xiao Lajiao’s hand, swallowed hard, and wanted them so badly that he simply reached out to grab them.
Not far away, the cameraman noticed the scene and quickly stepped forward to stop it. The livestream chat also lit up with concern, afraid that Xiao Lajiao might be getting bullied. But just as the cameraman took his first step, he and the viewers saw Xiao Lajiao throw a punch that sent the boy flying two meters away.
Cameraman and viewers: …?
The other kids who had come with the boy all swarmed over, yelling as they tried to “avenge” their friend, reaching out to push Xiao Lajiao.
Xiao Lajiao then punched each one of them, sending them all crying, while she herself didn’t even have a single hair out of place and not a single chip in her arms spilled.
Sijidou and Pidan’s mouths had turned into O’s, their eyes wide open in disbelief as they stared at Xiao Lajiao, unable to accept that this usually soft, obedient, and quiet little girl had actually taken down so many people!
Yan Qingci had already realized how strong Xiao Lajiao was yesterday when he saw her lift a rock half her size. So he only blinked in mild surprise before calmly walking over, patting her back and comforting her, “It’s okay, don’t be scared.”
Hearing the crying, the parents who rushed over looked at the sobbing kids on the ground, then at their own unharmed children, and for a moment, couldn’t tell who had bullied whom.
【Hahaha everyone’s expressions are priceless—Lu Rui and Bai Keke just look helpless. Guess this isn’t the first time it’s happened.】
Tudou is so sweet, aww, he actually comforted Xiao Lajiao and told her not to be scared, even though I don’t think she was scared at all hahaha.】
【…I thought Xiao Lajiao was a delicate soft girl, but turns out she’s a super-strong cute bruiser. She’s just a little socially anxious.】
【Xiao Lajiao: Guess why they call me Xiao Lajiao?】
【Hahaha it’s true—there are no bad nicknames, only ones that are too accurate! Hahaha】
【I swear I’m going to die laughing from this show someday.】
In the end, the parent of the boy who started it made him apologize first, and the other kids who had come over to bully Xiao Lajiao also apologized honestly. Xiao Lajiao gave them a small nod to show she forgave them.
The livestream chat was mostly satisfied with this outcome. Some people felt an apology wasn’t quite enough, but then they thought about the bruises Xiao Lajiao had left on those kids with her fists and figured… maybe it was fair?
The matter was settled. Fei Yuan appeared once more, waving his little whiteboard at the guests. “Congratulations to all the parents and kids! Today’s two challenge tasks are officially complete! Our three-day, two-night journey has come to an end. Did everyone have a good time?”
Since the episode was wrapping up anyway, the guests played along for once. “We did!”
The kids echoed, “We did!”
“Then I’m sure the audience had a great time watching, too,” Fei Yuan waved to the camera. “See you next episode!”
The parents and kids also turned to the camera, smiling as they waved goodbye. “Bye!”
【Wuwu goodbye! I hope all the kids grow up healthy and happy, and stay blessed forever!!】
