Qiu Xuning lifted his thin eyelids and quickly glanced at He Zhiyuan’s expression. Seeing that his expression wasn’t right, he hesitated for a moment and changed his words. “Twice a day is fine too…”

He Zhiyuan asked in a low voice, “Do you know what you’re saying?”

Qiu Xuning’s eyes wandered. His face so red it looked like it could bleed. “I just want to kiss, that’s all.”

    He Zhiyuan didn’t say anything.

Qiu Xuning raised the pink letter in his hand and stammered, “Do you agree? If you think it’s okay, I’ll write it for you. It’ll definitely be better than what they wrote.”

It felt like the roles had switched. A shadow appeared in He Zhiyuan’s eyes. His fingers involuntarily stroked his fingertip. He really didn’t expect Qiu Xuning to say such a thing.

Actually, there were signs before… Now, he was getting bolder and bolder.

He Zhiyuan chuckled softly. His voice became more magnetic, with a seductive and alluring quality. “Sure, as long as you can write, I’ll agree to it.”

Qiu Xuning cleared his throat, unable to hide the excitement in his eyes. He looked down at the pink letter in his hand, then lifted his face. His soft, glistening eyes looked at He Zhiyuan and his voice was slightly stammering, “… Do you want to do… that…?” He paused for a moment, his eyelids flushed with a tinge of red. “Just… the thing, a deposit?”

His eyes darted around, landing on He Zhiyuan’s lips before hurriedly shifting his gaze. The implied meaning was very clear.

He Zhiyuan nodded and said, “The deposit is, indeed, due.”

Qiu Xuning cleared his throat softly, his face flushed as he softly said, “That… it has to be the lips.”

Only that way will it feel like romance. Kissing the cheek or forehead… that’s just acting foolish.

He Zhiyuan said in a low voice, “Alright, the lips.”

After he said that, he reached out his hand toward Qiu Xuning. Qiu Xuning nervously closed his eyes, slightly lifted his face, and puckered his full lips, sending them toward He Zhiyuan.

In this posture of his, He Zhiyuan’s attention was drawn to his soft and plump cheek. Probably because Qiu Xuning was growing taller, all the nutrients went into growing his height, making it hard for him to gain weight. However, in the past six months, he gained some weight and his whole body became much more pleasant to touch. Only his cheeks didn’t change. They still had that soft and familiar feel, only revealing more of his delicate and refined appearance.

He Zhiyuan reached out and gently pinched Qiu Xuning’s cheek. Qiu Xuning’s eyebrows twitched and he slowly opened his eyes. His eyes were clear and bright, like a pool of clear water with a glistening light in them. They looked moist and shimmering with a glow flowing through them.

Qiu Xuning’s gaze met his. His eyelashes fluttered slightly, and then a light kiss landed on his lips. It was so quick that there was almost no sensation.

Logically speaking, a kiss should be enough but Qiu Xuning still felt unsatisfied, even a bit disappointed. He smacked his lips and instinctively stuck out his tongue to lick his lips.

He Zhiyuan watched his actions, and the color in his eyes darkened a bit. It almost seemed as if no light could escape.

Qiu Xuning didn’t notice his gaze and reflected on the kiss they just shared. It was so bland that he couldn’t even taste it, but the sweetness in his heart almost overflowed. With every breath, it felt like the air itself carried that subtle sweetness.

He shyly glanced at He Zhiyuan and softly said, “I’ll go write it now.”

After he said that, he blushed and went back to his bedroom.

He Zhiyuan watched him leave, then reached up and wiped his face before turning and heading into the bathroom.

Although Qiu Xuning agreed to write a love letter to He Zhiyuan, he had never written one before so he felt a bit embarrassed.

It was hard to ask for help with something like this, so he reluctantly went online and searched for【How to write a love letter?】

A huge amount of content came up in the search results. Qiu Xuning felt his scalp tingle just looking at it and closed the page with his head aching.

He unfolded a stationary paper and seriously began to think about how to write this love letter.

Logically, he should write about how he fell for He Zhiyuan, right?

Qiu Xuning put down his pen and covered his face. The temperature on his face rose a few more degrees and almost felt like it could set his whole body on fire.

He couldn’t remember when he started having unspeakable thoughts about He Zhiyuan. Maybe it was there from the very beginning? When he first read the book, he really liked the character of He Zhiyuan, but some of the things he did were a bit scary in later parts. He was scared and did not dare to like him anymore. However, after their close contact, the fear of He Zhiyuan decreased more and more, and his liking for him started to take over…

Qiu Xuning exhaled a hot and steamy breath. The cool air surrounded him, but instead of making him cold, it helped clear his thoughts.

He still remembered He Zhiyuan lowering his gaze to look into his eyes, as if carrying a gentle warmth that flowed into his heart like lukewarm water. Perhaps it was this glance that made Qiu Xuning fall for him.

The reaction of falling for someone is actually very obvious. At that time, he loved to cling to He Zhiyuan. Whenever he had time, he would go find him and even when doing homework, he liked to do it with him. Liking someone is this kind of feeling—wanting to be with the person no matter when.

Qiu Xuning thought again about He Zhiyuan’s dimples, which were well hidden. He never easily showed them. Qiu Xuning rarely saw his dimples again, but the first time he saw them, his heart raced and he could barely hear the other person’s voice clearly… Ah, at that time, Qiu Xuning scratched his head, uncertainly thinking that at that time, it should have been when he truly developed his feelings for He Zhiyuan.

Qiu Xuning thought a lot. He brewed over it for a long time and finally figured out how to write this love letter.

He wasn’t very brave, but as long as he was given a little sweetness, he would be filled with infinite courage.

If he could kiss every day, he would be satisfied. Without kisses, how could it be called a relationship?

Qiu Xuning began to write furiously. He wrote it out first on a draft, then corrected a few language errors, and then finally, he transcribed it onto the pink letter paper.

Qiu Xuning’s handwriting was just like him—delicate and refined. At first glance, it looked like a girl’s handwriting, each stroke and line carrying a soft, gentle quality. After he finished transcribing it, he read through it himself. His face turned bright red.

He exhaled a hot and steamy breath then wiped the fine sweat from the tip of his nose. He hesitated again.

Showing He Zhiyuan something like this was practically a public execution. However, He Zhiyuan had already seen his butt, so there was nothing he couldn’t let him know now.

Qiu Xuning psyched himself up, neatly folded the pink letter, and placed it into the makeshift envelope he had made. He was about to head out to give it to He Zhiyuan.

However, he heard a familiar voice. His heart skipped a beat, and he quickly rushed out to check—it was indeed Qiu Shunming.

Qiu Shunming’s voice was loud. “You said you’re living so comfortably at our house, why do you want to move out on purpose?”

A stranger entered the house and the cat was scared. It quickly darted away and hid under the sofa. Qiu Shunming took a closer look and grinned. “You’re still raising a cat? Don’t make Ningning sick because of it, cats are filthy!”

His speech was quick and urgent with his eyes sharp. When he saw Qiu Xuning, he called out without even catching his breath, “Ningning, you’re not calling me ‘Dad’ when you see me?”

Qiu Xuning hid his hands behind his back and called out, “Dad.”

Qiu Shunming smiled and was about to enter through the door. He Zhiyuan’s hand curled into a fist but it slowly relaxed. He didn’t stop him.

Qiu Shunming knew to take off his shoes. As soon as he did, a foul smell instantly filled the air. Qiu Xuning held his breath but Qiu Shunming didn’t seem to care. He said with a cheerful laugh, “You didn’t come home last week, so your mom asked me to come check on you.”

He looked around and said with an ambiguous tone, “You two live in such a big house, isn’t that a waste?”

Qiu Xuning noticed He Zhiyuan’s expression and felt a bit anxious. He said to Qiu Shunming, “I’ll go home this week, did Mom say anything?”

Qiu Shunming lifted the things in his hand and said, “She asked me to bring you taro dumplings. Don’t you like them? She bought some extra taro this morning and made about a hundred for you to eat as a late-night snack.”

Qiu Xuning quickly reached out to take it. “I’ll definitely go home this week.”

Qiu Shunming was about to say something when a dog suddenly sprang out of the kitchen and wagged its tail at him. He showed a look of disgust on his face and said, “Why are you still keeping a dog here? Can you even have a dog in a suite? Doesn’t it stink?”

Qiu Xuning softly said, “I gave him a bath. He smells nice and he won’t stink.”

Qiu Shunming said, “How can a dog smell nice? They all stink. If you’re in this kind of environment, I have to talk to your Mom. You need to move back with me.”

Qiu Xuning choked up and weakly protested, “It really doesn’t stink.”

“He’s staying here. He won’t be going back,” He Zhiyuan said in a heavy tone.

Qiu Shunming instinctively wanted to argue with him but then remembered something. He held back and his tone softened considerably. “If he’s staying here, you can’t have a dog. Dogs are very dirty. What if it gets sick?”

Qiu Xuning said, “He Zhiyuan will take the dog for deworming. The dog is very clean and it doesn’t have any smell.”

Qiu Shunming glared at him but his tone remained soft. “Forget it. If you want to raise it that way, then fine. Just don’t let it get sick.”

He glanced at the little golden retriever wagging its tail at him and his expression was unable to hide his disgust. “I’m leaving. Quickly put the dumplings in the fridge and keep them for as long as they last. I’m leaving.”

Qiu Xuning nodded quickly and said, “I’ll take you downstairs.”

He Zhiyuan stood behind Qiu Xuning and watched as Qiu Xuning took advantage of Qiu Shunming turning around to put on his shoes, slipping the envelope into his hand.

“Hurry up and look,” Qiu Xuning said softly.

He Zhiyuan lowered his eyes and glanced at the envelope in his hand. The cold and stern expression on his face finally softened. He then looked at Qiu Xuning, who had his back to him. From this angle, he could only see the tips of Qiu Xuning’s ears which were flushed red.

He Zhiyuan withdrew his gaze and smiled.

tell me why did i also felt like i smelled xuning’s dad feet on that part… LMAO AND XUNING IS JUST SO CLINGY TO ZHIYUAN always wanting his hubby’s kisses😭
