TSBDRA If Line: If I had Run Away While Pregnant Extra 7
by starlightxelIF LINE EXTRA 7 – Do you have someone you like?
Hearing Yan Yushan’s words, Xu Xishuang thought to himself that the punishments didn’t actually seem that harsh but Yan Yushan’s tone was so pitiful. Xu Xishuang had never seen this side of him before. He couldn’t help but wonder, were these punishments really that difficult for Yan Yushan?
Xu Xishuang couldn’t imagine Yan Yushan having any embarrassing photos. No matter what angle you shot him from, he always looked good. Ever since his debut, there had never been any negative rumors about him. Everyone knew him as a workaholic, and he had a reputation for being strict on set. He was always the one making others mess up, never the other way around.
But not being allowed to eat dinner did sound kind of serious. After all, this game show required them to run around in those heavy mascot costumes, and with so much physical activity, skipping dinner would definitely be miserable.
As Xu Xishuang pondered this, Yan Yushan peeked at his expression through the headpiece, feeling like his act of playing the victim wasn’t really working.
Panting heavily, the cameraman finally caught up with them at the back door of their hiding spot. He pointed the camera at them and stared at Yan Yushan with a look full of silent grievance.
The others didn’t know who was inside the panda costume, but the cameraman definitely did.
When they saw the cameraman arrive, Xu Xishuang and Yan Yushan tacitly stopped talking and stepped out through the back door together. Xu Xishuang walked ahead of Yan Yushan. After a moment of thought, he took out his phone, opened his notes app, and asked, “Are you allowed to get outside help in this game?”
Yan Yushan took the phone that Xu Xishuang handed him and began typing in the notes app. Because the mascot costume limited his finger movement, his actions were a bit clumsy. He had only typed a few characters when the cameraman beside them gave a loud cough, warning him not to break the rules.
Hearing the sound, Xu Xishuang turned to glance at the cameraman’s expression and raised an eyebrow. “He didn’t talk to me out loud, he’s just typing on a phone. Does that count as breaking the rules?”
What Yan Yushan had said to him earlier didn’t count, since he hadn’t spoken in front of the camera. The audience wouldn’t know anyway, and besides, Yan Yushan hadn’t revealed any important game information. Yeah.
Xu Xishuang watched as Yan Yushan typed, completely unaware that his heart was already drifting skyward.
The cameraman beside them froze for a moment: …That really doesn’t seem like a rule violation.
【Damn, I actually got tripped up by the show’s rules too—forgot they could still use phones to communicate】
【Hahaha that eyebrow raise, I love it! This guy’s so cool and aloof, I’m obsessed!】
【Exactly, the rules only say the guests can’t reveal their identities or speak out loud. They never said you can’t communicate in other ways. That rabbit mascot just used a stick to write on the ground earlier, didn’t he?】
【Wow, one’s using a stick like it’s the Stone Age, another jumps straight into the modern era with a phone. Now I’m remembering that blue mascot who was using hand gestures—so adorably dumb, haha!】
Feeling Xu Xishuang stand up for him, Yan Yushan inside the mascot costume secretly curled his lips into a smile and nodded in agreement with Xu Xishuang’s words. Then he looked over at the cameraman and deliberately lifted the phone in his hand.
The cameraman and the audience watching—somehow all picked up a smug “I’ve got someone backing me” vibe from that gesture, and couldn’t help but twitch the corners of their mouths.
【Taunting the cameraman—this mascot is so cute, hahaha! I’m starting to think it’s Liang Feng. Our Yan-ge would never do something like that.】
【Yeah, I’m thinking it’s the lively Liang Feng too. I just can’t picture our tough guy Yan-ge standing behind a pretty boy acting all spoiled and arrogant.】
【LMAO, that upstairs comment is too accurate. Just imagining Yan Yushan doing something like that gives me chills. There’s no way this guest is him.】
While the bullet comments were still speculating, Yan Yushan had already finished typing and handed the phone back to Xu Xishuang.
Yan Yushan: “Outside help is allowed. On my way here, I ran into another player wearing a fox mascot suit. She got recognized by one of her fans, and her fan led her straight to the contact NPC so she could claim the mission.”
The cameraman pointed the camera at Xu Xishuang’s phone. Both he and the audience saw the text Yan Yushan had typed, and then heard Xu Xishuang respond. “I know a contact NPC too. She’s my cousin. I can tell you where she is.”
The cameraman felt this was getting out of hand and gave another loud cough, trying to remind Yan Yushan and the handsome passerby in front of him not to push their luck.
Xu Xishuang glanced at him again. “Why is it okay for the guest in the fox mascot to do it, but not us? Besides, my cousin is a fan of Yan Yushan. I get to help her meet her idol and help Yan Yushan complete his task at the same time—what’s the problem?”
Cameraman: …Yeah, technically, there’s no problem.
【?! Hold on, did you just say who’s inside that mascot suit??】
【Guys, is there something wrong with my ears? Did I really just hear Xu Xishuang say the guest inside the panda costume is Yan Yushan? Are my ears broken?】
【There’s nothing wrong with our ears, but my face hurts from that slap. Damn, I was just swearing up and down it couldn’t be Yan-ge.】
【?? Yan-ge, what were you even doing just now? Yan-ge, if you’ve been body-snatched, just shout and let us know!】
Once everyone found out that the person inside the panda mascot suit was Yan Yushan, the bullet comments exploded. If Xu Xishuang’s defense of Yan Yushan could be chalked up to helping his cousin meet her idol, then Yan Yushan’s behavior toward Xu Xishuang felt off. From the waist-hugging to the showing off, there was definitely something going on between the two of them. At the very least, they clearly knew each other.
Some of Yan Yushan’s long-time fans, those with a keen sense for these things, quickly gathered together and started sharing their thoughts in their fan groups. After exchanging opinions, they all agreed that if there really was something going on between Yan Yushan and Xu Xishuang, they were absolutely on board with it.
Xu Xishuang had good looks, a solid education, and wasn’t from the entertainment industry—those three things alone were already a winning combo. Not to mention, it was clear that Yan-ge showed a special interest in Xu Xishuang, totally different from how he treated anyone else.
Yan Yushan had worked non-stop for so long that even the fans had been worried. In recent years, he had finally slowed down. Aside from a small group of shippers, most of the fans—even the ones focused on his career—felt that Yan Yushan had already done more than enough. If he wanted to date now, or even get married, they would support him wholeheartedly.
With that decision made, the major fan accounts took immediate action. They began monitoring all platforms, especially the livestream bullet chats. Whenever a negative comment popped up, they would flood it with positive ones to drown it out. They also started preparing other fans so no one would be caught off guard.
The atmosphere in the livestream room seemed to have changed, yet also hadn’t. Xu Xishuang and Yan Yushan, who couldn’t see the bullet comments, had no idea what was being said. Xu Xishuang tapped on Xu Lu’s avatar and sent her a message: “Where are you? I ran into your idol. I’m bringing him to you so you can get your mission.”
Xu Lu replied almost instantly: “Aaaaah ge! You’re my real brother!! I’m at the annex building of the law school. The moment you walk in, you’ll see me sitting on a bench by the road—I’m the one reading a newspaper upside down!!”
Xu Xishuang put away his phone, turned to Yan Yushan, and told him Xu Lu’s location and what she was doing. Then he said, “I’ll head off now. My friend’s still waiting for me.”
After speaking, Xu Xishuang waved goodbye to Yan Yushan and left the lab building. Yan Yushan instinctively took a step forward as he watched Xu Xishuang go, but then stopped himself. He knew he had no reason to ask him to stay and keep filming with him.
Even though he really did want to spend more time with Xu Xishuang.
Still, this wasn’t a complete loss. Xu Xishuang’s ears had turned red, and he had defended him. Yan Yushan quietly replayed his words in his head. From what Xu Xishuang said earlier, it seemed like the person who had been standing beside him was just a friend?
Filming continued for Yan Yushan. On the other side, after exiting the building, Xu Xishuang immediately spotted Wen Han still waiting where he’d been before. He quickly walked over, and the two of them continued walking side by side, heading to the restaurant Xu Xishuang had booked for their meal.
Wen Han asked, “Do you know that guy in the panda head from earlier?”
“Yeah.” Xu Xishuang nodded. “That was Yan Yushan.”
Wen Han had heard of Yan Yushan before and had even seen several of his dramas. He was a bit surprised to learn that Xu Xishuang knew him, but didn’t press for details.
On the way to the restaurant while sitting in the car, Xu Xishuang absentmindedly tapped on his phone screen out of boredom. In the end, he decided to open the livestream of the variety show Yan Yushan was filming to see what stage they were at now and whether Yan Yushan had lost the game yet.
After tapping into the livestream homepage, there were a total of five split screens. The system prompted him to select one or more to watch. Xu Xishuang clicked straight into the stream where Yan Yushan was, just in time to see him arrive at the annex of the law school and find Xu Lu sitting on a bench, reading a newspaper upside down.
As soon as Xu Lu saw the panda mascot approaching, she got so excited she nearly crushed the newspaper in her hands. Yan Yushan hadn’t even reached her yet, and she was already jumping to her feet, eagerly making contact with him to complete the mission.
Yan Yushan’s task was to head to the commercial street downtown, find the correct building, enter it, and dismantle a “time bomb” planted by the “enemy” in one of the rooms.
The clue for the mission was hidden inside the newspaper in Xu Lu’s hands. She was practically bouncing with excitement beside him, just about to give Yan Yushan a little hint—when she saw he had already zeroed in on the odd part of the paper.
The ever-dedicated cameraman quickly zoomed in with the lens. Xu Xishuang saw that Yan Yushan was staring at the newspaper’s printed date, but the numbers on this one were mirrored and it was clearly not today’s date. The digits didn’t match any standard format for year, month, or day. It looked more like…
A building number, a floor, and a room number.
【Yan-ge found the clue so fast! The rabbit and fox mascots found their tasks earlier than him, but neither of them has located the clue yet.】
【My brain’s not the best—can someone explain what this jumble of numbers actually means?】
【I’m guessing it has something to do with the place where the time bomb was planted. A secret organization probably wouldn’t hand out useless clues to its operatives, right?】
【Is it just me or is Yan-ge finding clues too fast? I’m starting to worry he might be a mole!】
【If Yan-ge really is the bad guy’s undercover agent, then that secret organization is doomed. None of the other guests can compete with him—neither in brains nor brawn!】
Xu Xishuang read the steady stream of comments flying across the screen, then scrolled back through the earlier ones and the viewer discussion. He gradually pieced together the rules and background of this game.
The five guests participating were agents of a secret organization, and they needed to complete a covert mission to save the public. To do this, the organization had arranged a specific contact for each of them. The agents had to follow clues provided by the show to find the correct building, locate their contact, and receive the next stage of the mission and its clues. The contacts would also do things that seemed ordinary at first glance but were actually designed to attract the agents’ attention.
However, just as the mission began, the five “agents” received a sudden notice. Their information and tasks had been leaked by a traitor—someone hidden among the five of them.
Since half the mission details had already been exposed, the enemy organization sent a group of men in black to sabotage the mission and capture them. To avoid being recognized, all the guests had to wear mascot costumes and weren’t allowed to speak. They could only communicate with passersby and contacts through other means.
If the men in black discovered them, the guests would be taken away, and even their contacts could be implicated.
Reading this, Xu Xishuang thought to himself—was this why Yan Yushan had mistaken him for a contact and dragged him along earlier?
On screen, Yan Yushan memorized the clue from the newspaper, then carefully handed it back to Xu Lu. Knowing he was about to leave, Xu Lu looked at him with wide, hopeful eyes—desperately wishing he would give her an autograph, or at least take a photo with her.
Seeing her expression, Yan Yushan paused for a moment, then pointed to the phone in Xu Lu’s pocket and made a peace sign, signaling that they could take a photo together.
Xu Lu was so happy she nearly jumped with excitement. She quickly pulled out her phone and snapped a photo with Yan Yushan in his panda mascot head. Satisfied, she waved enthusiastically and said goodbye. “Bye, Yan-ge! Make sure to rest well, don’t overwork yourself!”
Yan Yushan paused mid-step and gave her a small nod.
Getting a response made Xu Lu even more thrilled. She cupped her hands around her mouth like a megaphone and shouted boldly at his back, “Yan-ge, hurry up and get married! Let your partner keep you in check—stop spending all your time in Hengdian! Post more on Weibo when you’re free!”
【Sis, you’re so brave—you said what I didn’t dare to say!】
【Being urged to get married on the spot—Yan-ge’s face under that mascot head must’ve turned green, hahaha!】
Hearing Xu Lu’s words, many of Yan Yushan’s fans and the viewers burst into laughter. No one took it seriously. Knowing Yan Yushan’s personality, they figured he would just pretend he didn’t hear anything and walk away without a word.
But in the livestream, Yan Yushan didn’t do what everyone expected. Instead of leaving immediately, he stood there for a moment, then gave Xu Lu a solemn nod—only then did he turn and walk away.
【…Something’s off, guys. Seriously off.】
【Yan-ge, are you really not kidnapped? Oh my god… or do you actually like someone? Are you thinking about settling down??】
【I’m stunned. Who would’ve thought I’d end up catching a bombshell like this while watching a game show? So who is it? Who does Yan-ge like??】
Back on the livestream, the guests had already left University A and removed their mascot costumes. Yan Yushan, along with three other guests, got into the van headed for the commercial building downtown. Their next objective was to dismantle the “time bomb” inside and rescue Yan Yao, the hostage captured by the men in black.
Elsewhere, Xu Xishuang temporarily turned off his phone, his fingers unconsciously running over the screen, over and over again.
Yan Yushan likes someone?
…Who was it?
Xu Xishuang really wanted to open his chat with Yan Yushan right now and ask who it was that he liked but he forced himself to hold back. Yan Yushan was still filming the show and wouldn’t be able to reply right away. And more importantly…
When it came to who Yan Yushan liked, he didn’t seem to have any standing—no right or position—to ask.
Even though they had that one unexpected night together, and even though Yan Yushan was Tudou’s father, Yan Yushan didn’t know that. When he had given birth to the child, he hadn’t expected Yan Yushan to take any responsibility for him or for Tudou.
Right now, he and Yan Yushan were, at most, casual friends who occasionally checked in on each other. Even if Yan Yushan did like someone else, even if he started a family with someone else, Xu Xishuang had no reason to be upset about it. He certainly had no right to stop him from liking someone else.
The realization only made Xu Xishuang more irritable. Even Wen Han, sitting next to him, noticed something was off. He looked at him with concern and asked, “Xishuang? Are you okay? Do you feel sick?”
“I’m fine.” Xu Xishuang shook his head lightly. “Wen Han, if I said…”
Xu Xishuang didn’t finish his sentence. He paused for a moment, as if gathering his thoughts and calming his emotions. Wen Han didn’t rush him and just waited patiently for him to go on.
“If I said,” Xu Xishuang pinched his fingertips, “that I want Tudou to meet his other biological father… Do you think that would be the right thing to do?”
Wen Han was stunned for a long moment before he found his voice again. Instead of immediately answering whether it was right or wrong, he asked, “What made you suddenly want to do this?”
“Because,” Xu Xishuang hesitated, “I told Tudou who his other father is. Tudou really wants to meet him. He wants a complete family. And Yan… Tudou’s other father is a good person. I don’t think he would reject the idea.”
Xu Xishuang added, “I promised Tudou that his other father would know about him one day. I want to tell him sooner rather than later, so we can start preparing for what comes next.”
Just as Xu Xishuang finished speaking, the car pulled up in front of the restaurant they had booked. He and Wen Han paused the conversation for the moment, got out of the car, and entered the restaurant. They made their way to the private room Xu Xishuang had reserved earlier. Once the waiter brought the food and closed the door behind them, they picked up where they had left off.
Wen Han thought for a moment. “If you’re sure that person is truly a good person—someone who can keep your ability to have children a secret, and can also protect Tudou—then I think it’s okay for them to meet.”
“But,” Wen Han took a sip of soup, then asked with some concern, “what if Tudou’s other father can’t accept it? What if he doesn’t want to co-parent with you… then what?”
Xu Xishuang quietly moved all the spicy dishes to his side of the table. Hearing Wen Han’s question, his grip on the plate tightened slightly, and the dishes clinked together with a crisp sound.
“Then he doesn’t have to co-parent,” Xu Xishuang said calmly after a brief pause.
Wen Han nodded. “As long as you’ve thought it through. Let’s eat first, then.”
Xu Xishuang propped his phone up against his teacup and opened the livestream variety show he hadn’t finished watching earlier, planning to eat while watching.
The game had already entered its final stage. Yan Yushan and the other three guests had successfully reached the downtown building. Using the clue Yan Yushan found, they located the room with the planted “time bomb.”
Inside the room was another guest, Yan Yao. After being captured by the men in black, she had been brought here and tied to a chair with hands and feet bound. Attached to one of the chair legs was the prop “time bomb” prepared by the production team. The countdown on it showed 14 minutes and 38 seconds remaining. Five different colored wires extended from the device, but only one of them was the correct one.
Only by cutting the correct wire would the “time bomb” stop. If they failed, not only Yan Yao but also the other guests—and everyone else in the building—would “die,” causing their mission to fail.
The secret organization had also given the clue to the correct wire to the contact agents. Ideally, among the five guests, aside from Yan Yushan who had obtained the clue to the room, if the other four had each received useful wire clues from their respective contacts, they would now be able to eliminate four incorrect wires and safely cut the right one, completing the mission and clearing the game.
But the current situation was far from ideal. Yan Yao had been captured by the men in black before she could get her clue, meaning one wire clue was already missing. Among the group, there was still an undercover traitor from the enemy side—someone who definitely wouldn’t reveal the correct clue. This made completing the mission significantly harder. One wrong move, and they would fail.
【Damn, I’m so nervous. Can the production team please stop amplifying the ticking sound of the bomb? My heart’s about to explode—even though I know it’s fake, ahhhh!】
【The scariest part is that the guests still don’t know who the mole is. If they listen to the wrong person and cut the wrong wire, it’s all over.】
【Yan-ge gave the correct room number. I checked the other split screens—Bai Keke and Xiang Yao both gave accurate clues. Liang Feng didn’t get his clue…】
【I think either Liang Feng is the mole, or Yan Yao is. One of them might’ve intentionally failed to get their clue, and the other might’ve let themselves get caught to make the team lose a wire hint.】
【Honestly, I feel like Yan-ge is the mole. Yeah, he gave the right clue, but he found it so fast—like it was all pre-arranged. And now he’s the one cutting the wire too. If his hand slips… they’re done for.】
Only two of the five wires had been ruled out, and the timer was ticking down second by second. There wasn’t much time left for the guests. The comment section was in chaos, with viewers arguing furiously over who the mole could be. The atmosphere at the scene was tense, and the production team deliberately amplified the ticking sound of the “time bomb,” making everyone even more anxious.
Xu Xishuang’s brows furrowed unconsciously. His eyes followed the camera, focusing on Yan Yushan’s hands—watching as he held the scissors and hesitated between the red wire and the blue one. Xu Xishuang’s heartbeat quickened with the moment, a wave of inexplicable worry rising in his chest for Yan Yushan.
Yan Yushan’s calm voice came through the screen, “I want to cut the blue wire.”
Since everyone wanted to focus on defusing the “bomb,” they hadn’t untied Yan Yao yet and she was still bound to the chair. She blurted out, “Why?”
“Instinct,” Yan Yushan replied.
Liang Feng said, “…All our lives are in your hands right now. Maybe think it over one more time?”
Bai Keke said worriedly, “But we’ve already shared all the clues we have. Out of the three wires left, we basically have to pick at random. At this point, besides instinct and luck, what else can we rely on?”
“True.” Xiang Yao ran a hand through his hair in frustration. “Forget it, let’s leave it to fate. It all comes down to this and let’s see if the blue wire is the right one.”
As he spoke, the drama in him flared up. He looked around at everyone else in the room and let out a sigh. “Go ahead and cut it! We’ve worked together for so many years, have been through all kinds of storms and faced all kinds of danger. But nothing like this. To the friend who turned traitor—if we’re unlucky enough to die here today, then at least we die together. I won’t blame you. In our next life, let’s be colleagues again!”
From her chair, Yan Yao gave a weak reply, “How about… no, ge. I’d really like to stay alive. And next life, I’d like a chill job—nothing this nerve-wracking.”
Xiang Yao: …
【Hahahahahaha I’m dying! Quiet little Yan Yao has such a cheeky side—spill it, have you been corrupted by your boss Yan Yushan?!】
【No doubt she has, hahaha! I used to be such a pushover too, but ever since I started watching Yan-ge roast people in edits, my clapbacks are fire. Nobody dares mess with me now.】
【Is this the first time someone’s broken Xiang-ge’s dramatic monologue? His poker face is about to collapse, I swear, hahaha!】
【Aaaaah they’re gonna cut it—they’re really gonna cut it! Is the blue wire the right one or not?!】
Just as Yan Yushan placed the scissors against the blue wire, ready to make the cut, Liang Feng—who had been standing quietly by his side the entire time—suddenly lunged. He snatched the scissors from Yan Yushan’s hand.
The comment section exploded from the shock. Offscreen, Xu Xishuang’s heart jumped into his throat. He immediately looked at Yan Yushan on the screen, trying to see if he’d been hurt. But Yan Yushan’s reaction was just as swift—he grabbed Liang Feng’s arm and, in one clean move, flipped him to the ground and pinned him there, completely subduing him. Then he pried the scissors out of Liang Feng’s hand and threw them across the room to Xiang Yao. “Cut the blue wire, now!”
Xiang Yao scrambled to pick up the scissors, dove toward the “time bomb,” and with one swift motion, cut the blue wire.
Everyone held their breath, eyes locked on the countdown timer on the “time bomb”—
4 minutes and 28 seconds—the countdown stopped.
The moment the timer froze, everyone let out a collective breath of relief. Yan Yushan released Liang Feng, and Xiang Yao used the scissors to cut the ropes binding Yan Yao, finally setting her free.
【Holy crap, I broke out in cold sweat. Thank god they cut the right one.】
【So it was Liang Feng all along. If he hadn’t tried to stop Yan-ge at the last second, I honestly wouldn’t have suspected him. He hid it pretty well.】
【High EQ: Liang Feng hid it well. Low EQ: Liang Feng isn’t that smart to begin with, so when he failed to find a clue, no one even noticed anything was off.】
【Hahaha you guys are brutal!】
Seeing that Yan Yushan had completed the mission successfully, hadn’t lost the game, and wasn’t injured during the scissor incident, Xu Xishuang quietly let out a breath of relief. He smiled a little, feeling oddly happy, then picked up his chopsticks and resumed eating.
By the time they finished dinner, the livestream variety show had already ended. The last frame showed the five guests standing together, waving at the camera. Xu Xishuang exited the stream, said goodbye to Wen Han, and got into the car to head home. Figuring that Yan Yushan was probably done with filming too, he took out his phone, opened their chat, typed a message, and hit send.
Xu Xishuang: “Do you have someone you like?”
